New videos and photos from the set of HBO's Harry Potter reboot have revealed fresh looks at Nick Frost's Hagrid and Dominic McLaughlin's Harry Potter.
Who are in the new Harry Potter set videos and photos?
The cast and crew of Harry Potter were recently spotted on set at Borough High Street, where McLaughlin and Frost were spotted filming scenes. Harry's outfits continue to tease a 1990s setting, which would be faithful to J.K. Rowling's books. While Frost was on set, some of the new set photos show Hagrid's stunt double, Anthony Wally, standing in for the actor when he appears next to McLaughlin, as the character is supposed to be roughly twice the height of a mortal man.
Wally is shown wearing a Hagrid headpiece, which will be replaced in post-production by Frost's face through special effects, a technique that was also used for Robbie Coltrane's Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies.
Check out the new Harry Potter set photos below:
McLaughlin recently opened up about succeeding Daniel Radcliffe in the role of Harry Potter, admitting that it felt 'a bit surreal to be honest.' He continued, 'I was always a huge Harry Potter fan when I was younger. And it was like the dream role, of course, so I'm thrilled to be able to be doing it.'
The actor will lead the series, with Arabelle Stanton and Alastair Stout co-starring as Harry Potter's best friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, respectively. The rest of the main cast includes John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Frost as Rubeus Hagrid. Actors who will recur in the first season include Tristan Harland, Gabriel Harland, Ruari Spooner, and Gracie Cochrane, who were recently revealed to be portraying Ron's siblings Fred, George, Percy, and Ginny, respectively.
Francesca Gardiner is serving as head writer and showrunner on Harry Potter, while Mark Mylod is attached as its main director. The first season is slated to premiere on HBO in 2027.

Months After The Last Of Us' Tragic Joel Episode, Fans Are Still Complaining To Kaitlyn Dever About It

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. The Last Of Us is one of the latest HBO shows that got the world talking, and the video game adaptation is an Emmy-winning hit. The second season, which is streaming with a HBO Max subscription, aired this year, and saw Pedro Pascal's Joel killed off just like he was in the game. Kaitlyn Dever's Abby is the one responsible for this kill, and she's still getting flak from fans month later. Season 2 of The Last Of Us once again followed in the games' footsteps, including Joel's death and Ellie's quest for vengeance. Abby murdered him for revenge for her own father's death, and in an interview with Variety Dever confirmed she's having memorable fan interactions related to the show. In her words: [They complain to me] all the time. I think it just literally happened the other day. Someone came up to me — and it's been months since that episode aired — and someone said, 'Why did you have to do my boy like that?' And I was like, 'What are you talking about?' That's all they said. Then I realized, 'Oh right, you're talking about Joel. I'm sorry.' She's not wrong. Joel's death happened in Episode 2 of Season 2 back in April, so Dever has been hearing complaints from the general public for months now. Despite this, she's still surprised that the backlash is continuing... especially considering The Last Of Us games is where Abby's murder of Joel originated. HBO Max: Plans start from $9.99 a monthThe Last Of Us is streaming on HBO Max exclusively. Pay $9.99 a month for its With Ads plan, with three tiers available for an HBO Max subscription. You can also prepay for a year and save up to 20%.View Deal After that infamous murder scene, Dever later returned to the role of Abby in The Last Of Us' Season 2 finale. Her character once again took aim at a beloved character, seemingly shooting and killing Ellie in the episode's final moments. We'll just have to wait and see if fans warm to Dever's character when she presumably returns as a protagonist of the next season. What we know about The Last Of Us Season 3 is limited so far, but fans of the video games have a better idea of what will happen when the acclaimed series returns to the small screen. The coda of Season 2 saw Abby seemingly become the next protagonist, but fans are going to hold out hope for Ellie's survival. Only time will tell if the public's perception of Dever and Abby changed when the series returns for its highly anticipated third season on the air. I have to assume that folks will soften to her character, but since Pedro Pascal is the internet's daddy, maybe that won't happen. We'll just have to wait and see. The first two season of The Last Of Us are streaming now on HBO Max as part of the 2025 TV schedule. It's currently unclear when we'll be treated to the third season.

'The Pitt' season 2 teaser trailer sees Dr. Robby clock in for another chaotic ER shift

Scrub up! It's nearly time to return to Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital and reunite with your favorite overworked ER staff. Diehard fans already know that "The Pitt" season 2 is set to premiere on HBO Max in January 2026, and now a new teaser trailer is helping to cushion that months-long wait and give viewers an idea of just what we can expect in the new episodes. Released by HBO on Thursday, August 21, the minute-long promo is packed with familiar faces, with Noah Wyle's Dr. Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch leading the realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today's America. "The prodigal son returns," quips Nurse Dana Evans (Katherine LaNasa) upon Robby's arrival. Wyle's character is joined by fellow returning physicians including Dr. King (Taylor Dearden), Dr. Mohan (Supriya Ganesh) and, controversially, Dr. Langdon (Patrick Ball) — on his first day back at work after his return from rehab — as well as student docs Dennis Whitaker (Gerran Howell), Trinity Santos (Isa Briones), Victoria Javadi (Shabana Azeez) and a new med student played by Laëtitia Hollard. Season 2 looks to introduce more medical anomalies, legal mess and personal tensions for our Pitt crew. We also briefly meet new series regular Sepideh Moafi ("Black Bird," "Generation Q: The L Word") and her character Dr. Al-Hashimi, a new attending physician in emergency medicine; she joins the season 2 cast alongside Charles Baker, Irene Choi and Lucas Iverson as recurring characters. "[Dr. Al-Hashimi's] gonna be someone who's very progressive in her approach to medicine and believes in the modernization of the medical field," showrunner R. Scott Gemmill recently told Entertainment Weekly. "And Robby's a little bit more old school and there'll be a little bit of, let's just say, tension as they try and figure out how to work together." Gemmill added, "Robby has a very specific way of how he likes to run his emergency department, and Dr. Al-Hashimi has her own specific ways of how she likes to run an emergency department, and they're not necessarily cohesive." The second season of the critically acclaimed series, which has garnered 13 Emmy® nominations thus far, will have a similar structure as its predecessor: Episodes will play out in "real time" over the course of a 15-hour hospital shift. However, season 2 will see a time jump of 10 months after the events of season 1, taking place over the course of the Fourth of July weekend. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. There's fireworks,' Gemmill previously teased to Vulture. 'Somebody doesn't do so well at a hot-dog-eating contest; somebody's sunburned. You can see all the cases wandering in.' THE PITT Season 2 Trailer: Robby Clocks in for a New Shift of Heart-Pounding Trauma on the 4th of July — GeekTyrant

HBO Max has dropped the first trailer for The Pitt Season 2, and it looks like the chaos at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center is only ramping up. The new season officially arrives in January, bringing Noah Wyle back as Dr. Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch and Patrick Ball as Dr. Frank Langdon. The footage opens with Robby clocking in for another day in the ER, greeted by a nurse's dry jab: 'The prodigal son returns.' Dana (Katherine LaNasa), who spent much of last season contemplating whether to leave the job behind, gives him a look that says more than words. Season 2 sets its drama against a Fourth of July backdrop. It's also the first day back for Dr. Langdon, who returns from an inpatient rehab program after Robby forced him to confront his addiction in Season 1. The cast this season also includes Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, and Sepideh Moafi. Beyond starring, Wyle is also stepping behind the camera to direct an episode. Speaking at the Televerse TV festival, he explained, 'I feel prepped, which is what you want to feel. This has been such an amazing experience for me, all the way down the line.' Wyle previously directed episodes of Leverage: Redemption , The Librarians , and Falling Skies . One of the most compelling aspects of The Pitt has been its ability to stay tethered to real world healthcare challenges, and Season 2 is doubling down on that authenticity. Wyle explained the process: 'Before we even start to write, we're conducting interviews with all sorts of people from every sector and vector of healthcare, and they tell us what they're up against. 'They tell us what they would love to see on TV, and they tell us what would really be counterproductive to what they're trying to do if we put it on TV. We dictate our storylines from there; it starts with people that are in the field and asking them to see what they're seeing and how they're reacting to it.' The showrunners are also contending with the unpredictability of real-world healthcare changes. Wyle added, 'It's a little bit more difficult to see 10 months in the future than it was last year, because events are changing so quickly on the ground right now, you don't really know what the world's gonna look like in 12 months, but there are worst-case scenario models.' Between Robby's reluctant heroics, Langdon's battle with redemption, and the unpredictable grind of the trauma ward , The Pitt Season 2 looks ready to deliver another sharp, relentless run of episodes.
