Marti was indeed here to party ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Marti Pellow gave the crowd exactly what they wanted – and more on Saturday evening at Edinburgh Castle.
His voice remains strong and his stage presence charismatic. And this concert – the second in the Castle Concerts series – was a real love in with people who know and adore him and his music.
He said he was here to sing and would not offer too much in the way of banter – except to say that as he was driving to Edinburgh earlier the sky turned blue heralding his arrival on stage in the sunshine.
Starting off with a reggae favourite Jammin' he quickly had the crowd on their feet with Wishin' I was lucky.
The 7,000 or so at Edinburgh Castle were not exclusively women, but everyone was on their feet as soon as he asked them to stand up and dance.
It was an accomplished performance from the star – and he is a superstar after all these years in the music business. He knew that the crowd wanted to hear (and sing along with) all the numbers they knew which he used to sing as the frontman with Wet Wet Wet. But he was crafty enough to intersperse them with other songs – including a surprise Starry, Starry Night with just a piano and a guitar to accompany him and the 1979 disco favourite Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now. The breadth of songs only emphasises his ability to sing just about anything alongside his seven piece band including two women backing vocalists.
Nothing has been lost in his solo performance – the twinkle is still there and boy did he give it his all on the Castle Esplanade from 8.30 until 10.30 after a couple of encores.
After 10pm there was time for a quick change into his 21st Century kilt – and a shout out for his friend Howie Nicolsby who made it for him. Then it was time for a real singalong with 'that song from that film'.
The audience was in fine form with Love is All Around – which is also the name of the Marti Pellow tour. The crowd loved him – some of them saying on the way out that they can't wait to see him at the Hydro in November where he will play on his home turf.
But in a nice moment towards the end he thanked the Edinburgh crowd saying: 'I've played here a few times but tonight I have to thank you all for your smiling faces and your energy, Thank you for giving me another memory to put in my top pocket.'
And with that – after With a Little Help from my Friends – it was time to call it a night with Marti telling everyone to have a 'Safe journey home!'
Meantime he is off to Dublin tomorrow to play in the Trinity Summer Series.

Fleetwood Mac reunion rumours sparked by cryptic post from Stevie Nicks

Stevie Nicks performed at Glasgow's Hydro last July but fans hope a reunion with Lindsey Buckingham could be on the cards. Former Fleetwood Mac legends Stevie Nicks and her ex-flame Lindsey Buckingham have set tongues wagging with hints they could be plotting a musical comeback together. ‌ Devotees have been buzzing with anticipation after the pair shared mysterious social media posts this week. Stevie, 77, and Lindsey, 75, who were romantically linked during the 1970s, are believed to have grown apart in recent times following his latest exit from the group in 2018. ‌ Their former bandmate Mick Fleetwood, 78, revealed last year his desire to witness the duo patch things up down the line. Supporters are now wondering if a reconciliation might be on the cards after both Stevie and Lindsey posted lyrics from one of their tracks on Instagram tonight, reports the Mirror. ‌ Stevie shared: "And if you go forward ..." with Lindsey completing the verse by posting: "I'll meet you there." The handwritten words, featured in their individual uploads, are taken from the chorus of their track Frozen Love. ‌ The song appeared on their record Buckingham Nicks, which dropped in 1973, before they became part of Fleetwood Mac. Both posts were shared without any explanation, prompting countless admirers to flood the comments asking for clarification. One follower questioned: "OMG! What does it mean?" whilst another pleaded: "Confirm what's going on pls." ‌ Others began theorising about a potential comeback. One enthusiast declared: "Right I think there's going to be another reunion." Someone else exclaimed: "Buckingham Nicks? ? ? ? ? Is it? ? ? Reunion? ? ? Ahhhh." ‌ Some enthusiasts pondered whether a vinyl release or streaming debut of their joint album was in the works. One queried: "Buckingham Nicks vinyl release? ?" While another enquired: "Is Buckingham Nicks just coming to streaming?" These speculations surfaced following a video post by their ex-bandmate Mick, who was seen enjoying Frozen Love on the platform. Both Stevie and Lindsey reposted Mick's clip on their Instagram Stories. ‌ Mick captioned his shared post, which also appeared on Fleetwood Mac's official account, with: "Magic then, magic now." The marriage of Stevie and Lindsey. The marriage of coming into Fleetwood Mac when they did. It's all in this song. It's in the music that played on for so many years. It's magic then. Magic now. What a thrill! What a thrill! Amen." Stevie and Lindsey, romantically linked at the time, formed Buckingham Nicks in 1973 after their stint in Fritz. They became part of Fleetwood Mac the subsequent year, and the once- couple, who parted ways in 1976, eventually left the band at different times. They made a comeback in 1997 when the band reunited, but Lindsey departed once more in 2018. Stevie stayed with Fleetwood Mac, however, the band hasn't played together since the passing of Christine McVie in 2022.
