Police appeal as man dies in car crash
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a car crash in North Devon.
The collision between a VW Golf and a white VW Crafter van happened on the A361 North Devon Link Road near the Landkey Junction at about 11:40 BST on 19 May.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the driver of the VW Golf, who was aged 78 and from Tiverton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The force said the 51-year-old van driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and appealed for anyone with information on the incident to contact the police.

Ballymena protests: It is hard to see where the violence will end - and it could go on for weeks
The ugly, violent side of this Northern Ireland town was on full display once again last night. Angry mobs went on a rampage through the streets of Ballymena for a second evening as riot police from across this country were drafted in to push back against an escalating ambush. Hours of blaring sirens were punctured by the relentless sound of bricks and petrol bombs landing on police vehicles. The main roads became a war zone with fires in the middle of the carriageway, cars ablaze and the crunch of broken glass at our feet as we walked the streets. Masked and hooded young men were blasted with the water cannon as tensions boiled over in a strained, fragile community. This has been rumbling for days and began when a vigil, held for a girl who was the victim of an alleged sex attack was, according to police, hijacked by anti-immigration mobs. Authorities say "racist thugs" used the incident to plot their attacks on foreign people living locally. One family with three children were said to have hidden in their attic on Monday night as yobs ransacked their home. Another man told me how he had to drag his 84-year-old mum from her home of 40 years "kicking and screaming" as it was simply not safe anymore. "I've never seen anything like this," he said. On Tuesday, many displayed posters on their windows in a desperate bid to ensure their house did not become a target. Others draped union jack flags on full display. "British residents," one piece of paper stated. There is a feeling among the crowds here in Ballymena that the police branding them racists has escalated this row further. In a horrifying twist, we got word in the middle of the night that another house had been firebombed. When we arrived at the scene, it was a charred shell. The property was completely gutted. Neighbours described how several hundred "protesters" had gathered outside before hounding the foreign occupants out. One woman was pacing up and down, crying in distress at what happened. Another man, who lived a few doors, down hinted that this community had "had enough" of "people moving in". He lambasted the media and refused to engage any further. As I drove out of Ballymena at 1.30am I witnessed other families dragging suitcases full of their belongings through the streets. They were flanked by riot police, armed with shields, who helped them to safety in a late-night escape. Read more from Sky News: It is hard to see where this ends. £1,000 bounty in place for Gwent criminal
A £1,000 reward for a Newport man has been issued by the Crimestoppers. Justin Henshall from Newport has been recalled to prison. Henshall aged 35-40 is currently wanted. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Crimestoppers. Crimestoppers is an independent charity callers can contact over the phone or online and stay 100% anonymous. The £1,000 reward is in place now.

Twix ad banned for encouraging unsafe driving
A TV ad for chocolate bar Twix has been banned for encouraging unsafe driving. The advert shows a man with flowing hair involved in a car chase and crash that results in his and an identical, caramel-coloured car sandwiched on top of each other, like a Twix. Five complaints issued against the advert said it encouraged dangerous driving and was irresponsible. Mars-Wrigley, who own Twix, argued that the ad had a "cinematic presentation" and was set in a "world that was absurd, fantastical and removed from reality", which Clearcast, the non-governmental organisation that approves adverts before broadcast, echoed. But the watchdog the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruled the ad "must not appear again" in its current form because it "condoned unsafe driving". While the ASA acknowledged that the stunt performed highlighted the fantastical nature of the advert, it took issue with the first half of the video that showed driving "that appeared likely to breach the legal requirements of the Highway Code". It said there was an "emphasis on speed" including with "fast paced beat and music" in the car chase, noting the "visible skid marks" left on the road. Mars defended the advert, saying "the cars were shot driving at lawful speeds and any emulation would only reflect the legal and safe driving presented". The sweet giant, who also own M&Ms, Celebrations and Maltesers, added that Twix is known for its absurd and playful humour, which was reflected in the advert. The final scene shows a Twix bar falling through the sunroofs of the two cars, before they drive off - still attached - and with the tagline "two is more than one". For its part, Clearcast told the ASA that the style of the video made it clear it wasn't meant to be emulated nor did it suggest "safe driving was boring." In the ASA's ruling, it said it told Mars "not to condone or encourage irresponsible driving that was likely to breach the legal requirements of the Highway Code in their ads."
