A video showing Amit transporting his wife's body tied to his motorcycle has gone viral on social media.
A disturbing video has emerged from Nagpur, which shows a man carrying the body of his deceased wife tied to a motorcycle after allegedly receiving no help from passersby. The incident took place on Sunday at nearly 12 p.m. on the Nagpur-Jabalpur National Highway near the Morfata area under the Deolapar police jurisdiction.
The woman identified as Gyarsi Amit Yadav, died on the spot after being hit by a speeding truck. Her husband, Amit Yadav, was left helpless after repeated pleas for assistance were ignored.
After failing to get any help to transport the body, a desperate Amit decided to tie his wife's body to his two-wheeler and carry it back to their native village in Madhya Pradesh. The couple hailed from Seoni district in Madhya Pradesh, but had been living for the past 10 years in Lonara, near Koradi, Nagpur.
The accident took place on Raksha Bandhan, Sunday, when Amit and his wife were travelling by motorcycle from Lonara to Karanpur via Deolapar.

While no one came for help initially, several people later tried to stop him once they saw him carrying the body on the motorcycle. Fearing confrontation or trouble, he refused to stop.
The highway police, who reportedly filmed the viral video, initially signaled him to halt, but he continued riding. He was eventually stopped some distance ahead. The police took custody of the woman's body and sent it for postmortem to Nagpur's Mayo Hospital.
The incident has sparked outrage and raised serious questions about the lack of empathy and emergency response in such tragic situations.

Minor girl dies after self-immolation bid in Odisha's Bargarh

BARGARH: Hours after sustaining over 80 per cent burn injuries in a suspected self-immolation attempt, a 13-year-old girl from Phiringimal under Gaesilat police limits lost her battle for life while undergoing treatment at VIMSAR, Burla, on Monday. The incident occurred earlier and villagers found her lying unconscious in a football field with her body almost completely charred. A petrol bottle and a matchbox were recovered from the spot. Around 7:30 am, the victim poured petrol on herself in a nearby field and set herself ablaze. Villagers rescued her but faced delays in arranging an ambulance, eventually taking her to a private hospital, from where she was shifted to VIMSAR, Burla. Sources said the girl had been staying at her maternal uncle's house for the past weeks while her father was away as a migrant labourer and her mother was living at her maternal home. She was studying at an Ashram School in Paikmal block and had come home over to meet her mother and celebrate Raksha Bandhan. IGP (Northern Range) Himanshu Lal said: 'The girl was living here for the past one month, and she was supposed to return to her hostel in a day or two. We are investigating various angles, including what happened at her home earlier today and the possible reasons to ascertain the reason behind her extreme step..'
