A Harris County man is accused of shooting his much younger stepbrother who was visiting their mother on Saturday night, deputies say.
The victim, 32-year-old Eduardo Alfaro Jr., died at the scene, according to investigators.
The suspect, Charles Storey, 50, was inside the home when police arrived and was taken into custody.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Harris County deputies are investigating a deadly shooting that happened in the 700 block of North Vista Drive on Saturday evening.

Deputies say they were called around 7:30 p.m. for a request for service. When they arrived, they found 32-year-old Eduardo Alfaro Jr. with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.
While inside, deputies heard movement and found the suspect still inside the home.
Investigators say Alfaro went to his mother's home to take her out for Mother's Day. He found his step-brother, 50-year-old Charles Storey, at the home. Investigators say he was possibly in a drinking binge. The brothers got into an argument and deputies say that is when Storey allegedly shot and killed his brother.
He was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. He is facing a charge of murder.

‘I knew': Woman grieves loss of unborn child following arrest of second shooting suspect
A Gastonia shooting left multiple people injured and an unborn baby dead in March, police said. Two arrests have been made, but a mother is still grieving her baby, who would have been a month old by now. Alyssa Raine was 17 years old and nine months pregnant when she said two masked men broke into a Gastonia motel room and killed the baby she never got the chance to meet. She told Channel 9's Ken Lemon that even though the shooting happened in March, it's still very real for her. 'Every night is hard to go to sleep, the same scene replays over and over in my head,' Raine said. She said the two masked men carried guns and forced their way into the room at the Ecolodge. Jadedic Black was arrested and charged in Gaffney on Thursday, police said. 'I had nowhere to go, and the bullet hit me straight in my stomach,' she said. Raine said she felt her little girl react. Girlfriend jumps out of truck, then boyfriend fatally runs her over, TX cops say
A man accused of driving under the influence swerved off the road during an argument with his girlfriend, then she jumped out, and he fatally ran her over, Texas authorities said. The boyfriend, identified as 66-year-old Theodore Joseph Condara, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon – family violence, driving while intoxicated and unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Condara and his girlfriend were driving home from a bar the evening of June 12 when they got into an argument in Condara's Ford F-150 pickup truck, deputies said in a news release. Condara swerved off the road and onto a sidewalk in a residential area of Houston, hitting a trash can, according to deputies. At that point, the woman jumped out of the vehicle, then Condara ran her over, deputies said. Condara drove around the block before pulling over and heading back on foot to where his girlfriend was injured, according to the sheriff's office. First responders said they found the woman in critical condition, and she died of her injuries at a hospital. Condara appeared to be under the influence at the scene and was arrested, according to law enforcement.
