Oasis support act Cast make emotional tribute to Diogo Jota on first night of reunion tour after Liverpool star's tragic death
The Liverpudlian indie rock band kicked off the show at Cardiff's Principality Stadium as the first support act to take to the stage.
Frontman John Power took a moment to pay tribute to Liverpool footballer Diogo as he dedicated their song Walkaway to the star after his tragic death.
In an emotional moment, he said: 'This is Walkaway. This one is for Diogo Jota. Take it easy brother.'
The Portuguese sportsman and his brother Andre both died on Thursday when his Lamborghini had a tyre blow out while overtaking another vehicle on the A-52 at Cernadilla near Zamora - just ten miles over the border from Portugal.

Oasis reunion: Gallagher brothers take to stage for first time in 16 years
Man City manager 'joins' Oasis on stage Eagle-eyed fans spotted another "celebrity" on stage with Oasis tonight. The band were joined by a cardboard cut-out of long-running Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola. The figure was donning a Man City scarf and sat behind an amp decorated with the football club's badge. The Gallagher brothers are huge fans of the club, which wished them luck before the show earlier today. Where will the band go next? Oasis will be back at Cardiff's Principality Stadium tomorrow, before heading to Manchester next Friday. Here's a look at all their upcoming tour dates... Tonight's setlist Now that the show's over, let's take a look back at all the songs Oasis played tonight. The group performed a total of 23 tracks, including most of their hits and best-known songs. The band did not play any new material or cover songs, as expected. Oasis arrived on stage just after 8.15pm, almost exactly on schedule, and finished just before 10.20pm. The big question now is: Will they mix it up for the other shows on their tour? Or will the group stick to the tunes, and the order, as below? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Hello 2. Acquiesce 3. Morning Glory 4. Some Might Say 5. Bring It On Down 6. Cigarettes & Alcohol 7. Fade Away 8. Supersonic 9. Roll With It (Liam takes a break) 10. Talk Tonight 11. Half The World Away 12. Little by Little (Liam returns to the stage) 13. D'You Know What I Mean? 14. Stand By Me 15. Cast No Shadow 16. Slide Away 17. Whatever 18. Live Forever 19. Rock And Roll Star ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Encore: 20. The Masterplan 21. Don't Look Back In Anger 22. Wonderwall 23. Champagne Supernova ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'Authentic', 'pure' and 'value for money' - First reactions after the show ends Our arts and entertainment correspondent Katie Spencer has been with the crowd watching Oasis inside the Principality Stadium all night. As the show comes to an end, here's her first reaction to the band's performance... "It was incredible. I'm not a massive Oasis fan but tonight they sounded absolutely brilliant. They sounded like they certainly aren't getting on [in age] in terms of their music. "Never before has the body language of two brothers been studied quite so intensely. They came on stage tonight holding hands. They played their hearts out, and the crowd absolutely sang their hearts out. "They have absolutely delivered value for money." She stops to speak to two fans, Anna and Andy, as they leave the show to get their thoughts. "Absolutely incredible, like the most authentic, pure thing I have ever seen. Timing a trip to the bar or going to the loo was hard because every song was amazing," Andy says. Anna adds: "As we were walking out, I heard someone say they would pay £10,000 to see them and I think that says it all." The briefest of hugs as the show comes to a close As the night comes to a close, Oasis pick Champagne Supernova as their final song of the night. Our culture and entertainment reporter Gemma Peplow says: "A giant blow-up champagne bottle, Supermarket Sweep style, is being passed around the crowd, which is just a mass of people singing back. "And there it is, at the end, as Noel puts his guitar down." Liam and Noel then share the briefest of hugs and that's it. On to the next show... 'There are many things I would like to say to you, but I don't speak Welsh' By Gemma Peplow, culture and entertainment reporter Noel follows with Don't Look Back In Anger, and the screens fill with Manchester bees in reference to the arena bombing and how the song became the sound of hope and defiance for the city afterwards. Another flare has been lit in the crowd, and everyone is singing along. Noel urges the crowd to "sing it louder" and I think there are probably more than a few tears being shed. Wonderwall now, and Liam tells the crowd that "there are many things I would like to say to you, but I don't speak Welsh". "Right then, beautiful people, this is it", he says. "Nice one for putting up with us over the years." I think most people here would agree it's been worth it. Watch: Gallagher brothers walk out hand in hand After 16 years of feuding, fans were eagerly waiting to see how Liam and Noel Gallagher would take the stage for their first show. The brothers walked out hand in hand to an adoring crowd, before taking up their positions with guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs between them. Watch the moment below... Is that a wrap? The first show of the Oasis reunion tour appears to be over - or is it? They say they are performing their last song Rock n Roll Star, before leaving the stage, with Liam Gallagher throwing his tambourine into the crowd. But they quickly return, with Noel Gallagher shouting out all the other members of the band. Then he says: "This one is for all the people in their twenties that haven't seen us before, who've kept this s*** going for the last f****** 20 years." Flares go off as Oasis play three huge songs By Gemma Peplow, culture and entertainment reporter The band now play Slide Away and there are a couple of flares going off in the standing crowd. "Don't know, don't care, all I know is you can take me there," Liam spits. This is quite a moment. Then we hear the strings of Whatever and the sing-along continues. After this, Live Forever. Three huge songs, one after the other. And it's not even the encore. The Liam and Noel show? With all the attention over the years on the Gallagher brothers and their feuds, some would perhaps be forgiven for forgetting Oasis has some other members too. While the sibling duo have been hogging much of the limelight tonight, the rest of the band have been playing no small part in ensuring it all sounds good. They include Andy Bell on the bass: Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs on guitar: Joey Waronker on the drums: And Gem Archer on guitar:

Noel Gallagher's daughter Anais wishes him luck before Oasis' first reunion show in Cardiff as they share a hug in sweet clip
Noel Gallagher 's daughter Anais was spotted wishing him luck before Oasis took to the stage for their first reunion show in Cardiff on Friday. In a sweet clip shared by a fan to TikTok, Anais, 25, was seen running up to her father, 58, and giving him a hug while he watched Richard Ashcroft perform before his own set. Anais was later pictured throwing her arms in the air as she danced the night away, while her mother and Noel's ex-wife Meg Mathews was also in the crowd. A source told the Mirror: 'After posting about her ex-husband for weeks, Meg Mathews had a prime seat for watching the band. She was in great spirits before the set, watching Richard Ashcroft with pals.' More than 75,000 fans watched history be made as Noel, 58, and Liam, 52, appeared for the first time on stage together in 16 years. The once-warring Gallagher brothers proved their years-long feud was well and truly behind them as they stepped out on stage hand-in-hand to kick off the show. Throughout their set, they wowed fans with a whole litany of their top hits, including Some Might Way, Morning Glory and, of course, Wonderwall. The thousands of fans packed into the stadium were overwhelmed by the momentous occasion as many were reduced to floods of tears, while celebrities including Danny Dyer, Vernon Kay and Rob Brydon also attended the epic night. Earlier, Anais gave an insight into her glamour routine as she got ready for the first Oasis reunion show. She took to TikTok on Friday afternoon to join other fans of the 90s band in gearing up for the hotly-anticipated first night of the tour. Showing support for her father, Anais wore a light blue Oasis X Adidas polo shirt and had her golden locks clipped back as she curled her hair ready for the big show. She sported a radiant palette of make-up, including a touch of blusher and a slick of pink lipstick, as she gave an insight into her glamour routine for the epic gig. In the short video, Anais lip-synced along to Oasis' smash hit 1995 track Hello as she proved herself to be her father's number one fan. In a caption, she penned: 'See you later Oasis girlies x' Noel shares Anais with his ex-wife Meg Mathews, who he was married to from 1997 until 2001 and remains on good terms with. His model ex, 59, has also been eagerly gearing up for Oasis' reunion and though she isn't expected to be at the Cardiff show, she will be attending their Wembley dates. After 15 years, the once warring Gallagher brothers Noel and Liam will finally reunite for 41 shows with Welsh fans queuing all night outside Principality Stadium. And Anais seemed as excited as any other fan as she also shared a photograph of the Welsh capital to her Instagram Stories on Friday morning. She snapped a photo of the Principality Stadium and wrote in a caption: 'Good morning Cardiff.' She is said to have helped bring the estranged siblings back together after 'planting the idea' of a reconciliation. Anais is also said to have helped piece together the set list and given an insight into what younger fans might want to hear. Meanwhile, on Thursday, her mother Meg confirmed she will attend Oasis' reunion tour as she posted a string loved-up snaps with her ex-husband. The once-warring Gallagher brothers proved their years-long feud was well and truly behind them as they stepped out on stage hand-in-hand to kick off the show After 15 years, the once warring Gallagher brothers will finally reunite for 41 shows with Welsh fans queuing all night outside Principality Stadium The columnist, 59, famously wed the rocker, 58, in June 1997 in Las Vegas , but they were together for just four years before they went their separate ways and divorced. Meg was forced to deny she had rekindled things with Noel - who she shares her daughter Anaïs, 25, with - this week when she flooded her Instagram with loved-up snaps of them ahead of Oasis' reunion tour. But Meg didn't let the rumours get in the way of her countdown as she shared more PDA-filled snaps with Noel in the days before Oasis' first show at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday night. Though they are just friends, Meg is steadfastly supporting her ex Noel and his brother Liam, 52, upon their long-awaited return to stage and will be attending their first London show on July 25. Commenting on one of her most recent throwback posts, a fan asked her if she would be at the first London date, to which she simply responded: 'Yes.' Oasis will also be playing at Wembley Stadium on July 26 and July 30, before returning on August 2 and 3, and again on September 27 and 28.

Gallagher brothers share a high-five and hug as Oasis reunite on stage after 16 years
Why you can trust Sky News Oasis have reunited on stage for the first time in almost 16 years - with brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher sharing a high five and the briefest of hugs as they closed a performance that for fans was more than worth the wait. After the split in 2009, for many years Noel said he would never go back - and for a long time, as the brothers exchanged insults through separate interviews (and on social media, for Liam), it seemed pretty unlikely to ever happen. But now, here they are. As they walked out on stage at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, all eyes were on the Gallaghers for a sense of their relationship - dare we say it, friendship? - now after all these years. There was no reference to their fall-out or making up, but the gestures were there - lifting hands together as they walked out for the first time. Headlines and tweets of speculation and then confirmation of the reunion filled the screens as the show started. "This is happening," said one, repeatedly. In the end, it was all about the music. Liam has received criticism in the past for his voice not being what it once was during his solo or Beady Eye performances, but back on stage with his brother tonight he delivered exactly what fans would have hoped for - a raw, steely-eyed performance, snarling vocals, and the swagger that makes him arguably the greatest frontman of his day. This was Oasis sounding almost as good as they ever have. 2:56 They opened with Hello, because of course, "it's good to be back". And then Acquiesce, and those lyrics: "Because we need each other/ We believe in one another." The song is said to be about friendship in the wider sense, rather than their brotherly bond and sibling rivalry, but you can't help but feel like it means something here. Over two hours, they played favourite after favourite - including Morning Glory, Some Might Say, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Supersonic and Roll With It. In the mid-section, Liam takes his break for Noel to sing Talk Tonight, Half The World Away and Little By Little; the tempo slows but there is by no means a lull, with the fans singing all his words back to him. Liam returns for hits including Stand By Me, Slide Away, Whatever and Live Forever, before sending the crowd wild (or even wilder) with Rock And Roll Star. When the reunion announcement was made last summer, it quickly became overshadowed by the controversy of dynamic pricing causing prices to rocket. As he has done on X before, Liam addressed the issue on stage with a joke. "Was it worth the £4,000 you paid for the ticket?" he shouted at one point. "Yeah," the crowd shouts back; seemingly all is forgiven. After Rock And Roll Star, the dream that very quickly became a reality for this band, Noel introduced the rest of the group, calling Bonehead a "legend". Then he acknowledges all their young fans, some who maybe weren't even born when they split. "This one is for all the people in their 20s who've never seen us before, who've kept this shit going," he says before the encore starts with The Masterplan. Noel follows with Don't Look Back In Anger, and the screens fill with Manchester bees in reference to the arena bombing and how the song became the sound of hope and defiance for the city afterwards. 1:31 During Wonderwall, there's a nice touch as Liam sings to the crowd: "There are many things I would like to say to you, but I don't speak Welsh." It is at the end of Champagne Supernova, which closes the set, that it happens; Noel puts down his guitar, and they come together for a high-five and a back-slap, a blink-and-you'd miss it hug. "Right then, beautiful people, this is it," Liam had told the crowd as he introduced the song just a few minutes earlier. "Nice one for putting up with us over the years."
