Suniel Shetty's son Ahan Shetty recently wrapped up shooting for his upcoming film 'Border 2' in Amritsar. On his final day of shooting with Varun Dhawan, Ahan shared an emotional note to thank him for his unwavering support throughout the film's shoot. He shared a video from his last day of shoot in Amritsar, in which he is seen hugging Varun and enjoying a chat with him. Praising Varun's kindness and humility, Ahan shared that the actor carries no airs about him despite his stardom. He revealed that the actor checked in on him without being asked, in a way that only an elder brother would.
In his post, Ahan wrote, 'That's a wrap for me in Amritsar and my last day shooting with VD. It's hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me, because it's been more than just work. Its been growth, learning, laughter, and memories I'll carry for life. From the very first day on set, VD made me feel at home. No ego, no airs, just pure warmth. He guided me, checked in on me without being asked, and supported me in a way only an older brother would. It takes someone truly secure and generous to do that and that's exactly who he is."

He further added, 'He's one of the biggest stars we have, but beyond the cameras, lights, and stardom, it's the kindness, the humility, and the heart he brings that truly sets him apart. I've learnt more by just being around him. Watching how he carries himself, how he treats people, it sets him apart. This experience has changed me and a big part of that is because of him. Grateful doesn't even begin to cover it. Thank you brother. This one will stay with me."
Varun Dhawan reciprocated the love, and reacted to Ahan's post by commenting: 'Brother will misss u here only upwards and beyond for u meraaa bhai," along with a red heart emoji.
Border 2 stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty. Meanwhile, budding actor Medha Rana has been roped in as the female lead opposite Varun Dhawan in Border 2. Coming from an Army background herself, Medha's casting adds a personal depth to the war epic, which hits theatres on January 23, 2026.
Helmed by Anurag Singh, and backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, the film is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, in association with JP Dutta's JP Films. Vidya Balan Recalls Being Asked To Look ‘Younger' Than Shahid Kapoor In Kismat Konnection
Last Updated: Vidya Balan revealed that before she did Kismat Konnection, she received a call from someone asking her to lose weight and ensure she looked younger than Shahid Kapoor. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan recently opened up about experiencing body shaming in the film industry. While acknowledging that things have improved over the years, she recalled she was once asked to look 'younger' than her male co-star Shahid Kapoor for the 2008 film Kismat Konnection. She said that she received a call from someone who reminded her that Shahid is two years younger than her, and that she would have to lose weight to make sure she looks younger than him. While speaking with Filmfare, Vidya Balan said, 'There was this chatter that you have to look young if you want to work with some of the actors. I remember before I did Kismat Konnection, someone called me and said Shahid is two years younger than you. And you are being cast opposite him. Therefore you have to shed weight and make sure you look even younger than him. And of course the world has changed now." She further added, 'Until 2019, on every single film, I'd get a call from the producer, director. They would ask for a meeting and they would say 'Can you shed some weight?' I would be like 'Listen, I am not sitting on my haunches doing nothing. If I could, I would do it for myself, forget any film!' But those things are not nice. If you want someone with a different kind of body, go to that person. You want someone like me with my kind of person, then come to me. Because even for the most regular character, they would want me to be thinner." She further added that there was a phase when she had put on a lot of weight. 'And I was exercising like a beast. And today there is the awareness that I was actually harming myself., My body was in distress. I was so frustrated. I was barely eating. I was killing it in the gym. And I kept feeling like Oh maybe I am not pushing myself enough," said Vidya Balan. Kismat Konnection, starring Vidya Balan and Shahid Kapoor, was directed by Aziz Mirza.
