Kushal Tandon announces breakup with Barsatein co-star Shivangi Joshi, deletes post later: ‘It's been 5 months…'
Although it's just another Sunday for most, for fans of renowned television actors Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon, it feels like the end of an era. In a sudden and somewhat confusing move, Kushal has confirmed that he and Shivangi are no longer together, revealing that they parted ways a few months ago. While he made the announcement via an Instagram Story, the actor later deleted the post, leaving fans bewildered.
'To all the people I love, just wanted to say, me and Shivangi are not together anymore. It's been 5 months so yes (sic),' he wrote in the now-deleted Instagram story. The two are also believed to have unfollowed each other on Instagram. What has caused even more confusion among fans is the fact that, despite Kushal stating they broke up five months ago, Shivangi had shared a heartfelt birthday message for him on March 28 this year.
Alongside photos of the two together, she wrote: 'Wishing you a wonderful day and an amazing year ahead. May this year bring you happiness, success, and everything your heart desires. Hope it's filled with exciting opportunities, growth, and beautiful moments that make you truly smile. Wishing you everything good in life. And of course, may your cheat meals be even more delicious this year because if anyone has earned them, it's you! Lots of love.'
Kushal, however, did not share anything on the occasion of Shivangi's birthday on May 20, fuelling more doubts. His last Instagram post about her dates back to her previous birthday, when he wrote: 'cheers to many more birthdays together, creating beautiful memories.'
In October 2024, after months of speculation, Kushal confirmed that the two were indeed a couple. While clarifying that he wasn't planning on marriage at the time, he told The Times of India, 'But I am definitely in love. We are taking it very slow.' According to reports, romance blossomed between the two during the shooting of the television romantic drama Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka, created by Ekta Kapoor. While Shivangi Joshi played Aradhana Sahni, Kushal portrayed her fiancé Reyansh Lamba. The show aired from July 2023 to February 2024.

But it's not just the maternal role that plays a role in empowering women. Kapoor strongly believes that "empowered women empower women".With a staggering 93.7 million followers on Instagram-more than those of Alia Bhatt, Sachin Tendulkar and even Priyanka Chopra-Kapoor sits at the top tier of India's social media celebrities Talking about her "secret sauce", she said, "I think it's how welcomed I have felt by the family-my family on Instagram-over the past 15 years," adding that authenticity is to what made her decide to become an entrepreneur, she said being a consumer was the starting point. "It started with me buying from Palmonas, then thinking, okay, this is really good quality. Bought again; then saw they had dropped new designs; bought again," she told the said while the financials of the business isn't her expertise, she loves being hands-on when it comes to customer experience . "There are so many people who will tell you, 'Yeh, yeh formula hota hai school build karne ka (this is the formula for building a school). Only the person building something, the founder, knows their vision," she lively conversation then focused on Kapoor's background. She comes from a film family-her father being the iconic actor Shakti Kapoor-and she has a musically rich lineage on the Mangeshkar side, being the grand-niece of the late playback singer Lata Mangeshkar. From her father, she said, she learned how to respect money, and from the women, well, their lessons have been priceless."I've had more of a matriarchal upbringing , if I may say, and a very community-driven one. My mom always made me feel seen, and so did all the women in my life. I feel very, very blessed to have had that."Kapoor fired up the audience with an empowering declaration, dismissing those who claim women can't have it all. "I think we can have it all. The sky's the limit. We just need to know what we want-and go after it," she said.
