EMI MARTINEZ broke down in tears as he waved goodbye to Aston Villa fans after the victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
The Villans ended their last home game of the season with a 2-0 win over the North London side.

Martinez, 32, kept a clean sheet in the match against the Europa League finalists.
But at the end of the game, there was little celebration from the Argentine goalkeeper.
The stopper could be seen teary-eyed as he applauded the home crowd.
The former Arsenal ace has been linked with a move away from Villa Park with Saudi Arabia touted as a possible destination.
Manager Unai Emery was asked about the goalkeeper's future in his post-match press conference.
The Spaniard was unable to give any assurances that Martinez would be at the club next season.
He said: "We will see.
"Of course, it is the last match (of the season) here, and I don't know.

"We will see about the team, the players.
"Of course, they are responding on the field, at the moment they are responding and they are so, so focused in how we are preparing and playing each match."

Martinez has been ever-present in the Villa team since his £20million switch from Arsenal in 2020.
He joined the club after only a few months of regular first-team football in the Premier League.
He has since gone on to become one of the best goalkeepers in world football and won the World Cup in 2022.
The goalkeeper was also awarded with the Yashin Trophy in 2023 and 2024.
Martinez also posted on Instagram a picture of himself looking emotional as he waved to the supporters.
He captioned a post: "Thank you for all your support this season.
"We finished strong at home but we got one more final to go."
Emery also mentioned Leon Bailey who was also in tears at the full-time whistle.
He added: "Of course, Leon Bailey is playing now less because other players are responding very well. They are performing well.
"And we are going to play Manchester United for the last three points. And for us it will be very important again, to prepare, to be focused everybody.
"And of course, then we will see about everything, how we are going to try to get better for the next season."

According to the Daily Telegraph, Postecoglou would be due £4m in compensation if he was sacked. That fee was agreed ahead of his appointment two years ago, with another two years to run on his contract. The payout would be on top of the £2m bonus already handed to him for winning the Europa League. Postecoglou has returned to England from his end-of-season holiday and is awaiting the verdict on his future. The total cost of replacing him could also balloon above the £10m mark should Spurs look to bring in a replacement who is already in a job. Postecoglou has seen trusted assistant Ryan Mason depart to take over as West Brom boss. But the Australian himself has insisted he is preparing to remain in his post for the start of the new season. He admitted that he felt it was ' weird ' to see the media openly discussing a potential sacking. "I'll be honest, I've been finding it really weird talking about my future when we've done something unprecedented," Postecoglou said after the final day thrashing at the hands of Brighton. "I've had to answer the questions because no one else at the club is kind of in the position to do so, I guess. But I can't answer that question about me and my future, and part of me is kind of thinking, well, why have I been asked that question? But it is what it is. "And I've got no doubt, though, that this could be a real sort of defining moment for this club because wherever I've been, I've kind of made an impact where I've brought success to a club that hasn't had for a while. "You just have to look at those clubs' trajectory even after I've left, they're still competing for things. I really think this is a moment in time where this club can really push on and be a real contender for honours on a yearly basis."

Real Madrid agree deal for River Plate teenager Mastantuono
BUENOS AIRES, June 5 (Reuters) - Real Madrid have agreed to sign River Plate's young forward Franco Mastantuono for an initial fee of about $45 million, a spokesman for the Argentine club told Reuters on Thursday. The 17-year-old Mastantuono made his debut for River in January 2024 and is widely regarded by the local media as the latest prodigy to emerge from Argentine football. A talented left-footed finisher, he established himself as a starter under coach Marcelo Gallardo and soon became a key part of the Buenos Aires-based team. "The sale is settled, in the final talks it remains to agree on some details," a club source told Reuters, who gave no further information about the transfer. Mastantuono had been linked to other big European clubs such as Manchester United and Paris St Germain after attracting attention with a stunning free kick in River Plate's Superclasico win over Boca Juniors in April. River intend to keep the attacking midfielder on loan at the club until December to complete their Copa Libertadores campaign, according to local press reports.
