Recently, Boston University issued an official statement about launching a new external investigation after receiving complaints about its athletics department.
For the unversed, previously the Boston University had launched a similar investigation when a player had accused women's soccer coach Casey Brown of harassment. Casey Brown resigned from her job in December 2024, months after denying her involvement.
At that time, Boston University had issued a statement about 'finding no evidence' to support the player's claims against women's soccer coach Casey Brown.
The statement from Boston University read as, 'Within days of receiving those initial complaints, BU launched an external investigation and hired Phil Catanzano of Education & Sports Law Group to conduct a comprehensive examination of the situation.
The investigation found no evidence of sexual harassment and no BU policy violations.'
But this was not the only harassment complaint that the prestigious university had received in the last few months.
Appearing heartbroken and visibly emotional, Alex Cooper had opened up about her uncomfortable experience after she accused former coach Nancy Feldman of harassment.
In Alex Cooper's newly released docuseries, Call Her Alex, the famous podcaster said, "[It] was all based in her wanting to know who I was dating, her making comments about my body and her always wanting to be alone with me.'

With the Boston University launching a new investigation into the harassment claims, many are hopeful of the truth finally coming to light even though none of their former players have issued an official statement about it yet.
Alex Cooper has also remained silent about it.

TRP Game Zone case: Discharge applications of 7 accused rejected
Rajkot: A sessions court here on Monday dismissed the applications filed by seven accused seeking discharge from the TRP Game Zone fire case. The accused sought relief after the filing of the chargesheet, claiming innocence. Police have arrested 15 persons in this case and seven of them had moved discharge applications. Rajesh Makwana, Dhaval Thakkar, Nitinkumar Lodha, Bhikha Theba, Gautam Joshi, Jaydeep Chaudhari and Mansukh Sagathiya sought discharge from the case. While Thakkar and Lodha were partners in TRP Game Zone, Makwana, Joshi, Chaudhari and Sagathiya were officials in the Town Planning department of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation. Theba was deputy chief fire officer. These officials were allegedly responsible for allowing the illegal structure of TRP Game Zone to operate without a fire NOC, according to the prosecution. Opposing the applications, special public prosecutor Tushar Gokani argued, "Considering the material on record, it cannot be said that the charge against the accused persons is without sufficient grounds as there are 'triable issues' in the matter. Once it is established from the record that there are triable issues, the court may not go into the veracity of the rival versions projected at this stage for deciding discharge applications. " Suresh Faldu, the advocate representing some of the victims' families, also opposed the discharge requests. "We strongly opposed the pleas and urged the court to let the trial proceed so the accused can be held accountable," he said. The fire at TRP Game Zone on May 25, 2024, killed 27 people, most of them young. Sagathiya and Theba also facing disproportionate asset cases. The ACB found that Sagathiya and his family members had amassed assets worth Rs 29 crore, of which properties worth Rs 23 crore were attached after getting the state govt's permission. The ACB also found assets worth Rs 80 lakh belonging to Theba. Town planning officials were responsible for allowing the TRP Game Zone to function without obtaining BU permission. They allegedly also tampered with the inward and outward register of RMC's West Zone office to show they had received an application for regularization of the gaming zone and that it was under consideration. The fire department allowed zone to function without a fire NOC.
