'Gripping and delightful' ITV drama rockets up Netflix charts as it makes streaming comeback four years after original release
Finding Alice, starring Keeley Hawes, 49, follows the title character as she deals with the sudden loss of her husband.
But Alice soon learns that her late partner had been hiding a string of disturbing secrets from her.
A synopsis for the series reads: 'After her husband dies in the new home he designed for them, Alice uncovers a string of sinister secrets he kept hidden from her.'
Now it seems fans are rediscovering the drama, which has climbed to fourth place in Netflix's Top 10 UK chart since it landed on the platform on August 1.
The show, which originally aired on ITV in 2021, also features a star-studded cast including Joanna Lumley, 79, along with Gemma Jones, Nigel Havers, Sharon Rooney, and Rhashan Stone.

Viewer and critic reactions were mixed at the time of release, and the series currently holds a 69% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 13 critic reviews.
However, many praised Keeley's lead performance, calling it one of the show's strongest elements.
Decider wrote: 'Finding Alice strikes the right balance between drama and comedy, sadness and laughter, with a fine performance by Keeley Hawes at its center.'
What She Said added: 'Good gripping stuff heightened by (Keeley) Hawe's unique characterisation.'
Meanwhile, Paste Magazine described her performance as 'magnetic'.
While The Guardian raved: 'I simply cannot convey to you the delight of seeing this beautiful piece of order suddenly arising out of the chaos of the past year. Enjoy.'
But not everyone was impressed with the drama series.
The Mail on Sunday commented: 'It's intended, I think, as a 'darkly witty' take on grief and loss and discovering your newly deceased spouse was hiding all manner of secrets (oh, that),

The Telegraph praised the show for its 'good performances' and some 'funny lines' from Joanna.
However, they noted that the show is 'pitched oddly between a thriller and a romcom' and awarded it a three out of five star rating.
Finding Alice is now available to stream on Netflix until July 2026.

'In the [first kiss] moment, it is meant to give the audience the passion of these two people and their comfort together, because comfort can be incredibly passionate,' Bell explained. 'It's a deep, beautiful emotion, and we don't associate it with kissing very much.' After each take, she recalls running over to Foster and asking: 'Was it cute? Was it hot? Did you like it?' When asked why she scripted it as 'the world's greatest kiss' without any further instructions, Foster admitted that she gets self conscious writing 'sexy moments' and using 'romance novel lingo.' 'I don't know how to say, he sweeps his hands in her hair and she locks eyes... that just weirds me out!' she confessed. 'I think that was more laziness on my part. But there was definitely some strategy behind the kiss.' She went on to say that the kiss was designed to anchor the story. 'I think that sometimes as women, there's sort of a universal language that we all know with each other. We have a responsibility when we're creating something that we are telling the narrative of romance to young women,' she told the audience. 'And a lot of it is, have you know their habits that you sort of don't want to emulate, and the idea of showing women a healthy relationship.' She continued: 'Sometimes as a woman, we want men to talk to us like we're a little delicate and strong, and to support us.' As the series prepares to return for season two, she explained that Joanne and Noah's relationship will move into more mature territory, facing questions about family and cohabitation. 'Joanne and Noah are now at a place in their relationship for season two where they're asking each other different questions,' Foster shared. 'Everyone's been in the first couple months of a relationship, and everyone's past the threshold where you ask if you and your partner are going to dinner with each other's families or if you are going to cohabitate with one another. There's all of these teeny, tiny things that link you closer to someone else.' Servants' bells and car from Downton Abbey among props and costumes at auction
Fans will be able to purchase a dress worn by the late Dame Maggie Smith, who starred in the ITV programme's six series and two of its films as Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham. Other lots include the wedding dress Michelle Dockery wore as Lady Mary Crawley when she married Matthew Crawley (Dan Stevens), the distinctive bell wall from the servants' hall, and the Grantham family car, a 1925 Sunbeam Saloon. The car, which auction house Bonhams say is one of about 45 of the vehicles which survive, has an estimated sale price of £25,000 to £35,000. A script from series one, episode one, signed by cast members including Dame Maggie, Hugh Bonneville and Samantha Bond, is listed for an estimated £600 to £800. The set pieces, props and costumes will be on display at a free exhibition at Bonhams sale room in New Bond Street, central London, frin Monday until September 16. Proceeds from the auction will go to Together for Short Lives, a charity supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families. 'The world of Downton Abbey is beloved around the globe for its rich, timeless storytelling,' Gareth Neame, the show's executive producer said.
