Warwick Davis has praised the late Val Kilmer for "getting [him] through" making 'Willow'.
The 55-year-old actor played the titular role in the 1988 fantasy film and he told how his co-star - who died of pneumonia last month aged 65 - was the "leader of the army" among the cast, helping to raise morale when the shoot got tough.
Warwick told Entertainment Weekly: "He's really the reason I got through the making of the film Willow.
"Because if ever I was tired, exhausted, fed up, cold, he'd say, 'Come on, keep going!' And he'd be the kind of leader of the army, keeping us going. He was a beautiful man."
Warwick is keen to tell as many people as possible his good memories of the 'Top Gun' actor.
He said: "I always like to tell the world how great he was, because I often think the media gave the wrong impression of who he was as a person. He was a very warm, generous, kind-hearted person."

Warwick reprised his role in a 2022 Disney+ series and it had hoped that Val - who was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 - would return as knight Madmartigan but he ultimately wasn't able to be involved due to his poor health.
Showrunner Jonathan Kasdan previously told Entertainment Weekly: "We started building out the first season with the intent of having him appear.
"[It wasn't clear we couldn't get him] until pretty late in the process, frankly."
The show was cancelled after a single season.
Warwick also admitted he was disappointed Val couldn't be involved with the series because he had been such a great source of support when they worked on the original 'Willow'.
He told The Guardian newspaper: "Not a day went by while we were filming where I didn't think about him. What a cool guy he was.

"When you're 17 on a huge film like that, playing the title character, there's a lot of pressure, physically and mentally, to do a good job. Val was always there with a joke. Kind of picking my spirits up, saying, 'Come on, you can do this', you know, physically geeing me on.
"I owe him a big debt of gratitude for that."

Tasha Ghouri finally speaks out on Strictly controversy with 7-word statement
EXCLUSIVE: Love Island star, and author Tasha Ghouri has opened up about her time on the BBC ballroom dancing show and why she's still proud to represent the deaf community Love Island bombshell and now TV personality, campaigner and author, Tasha Ghouri is going from strength to strength. After finishing second in Strictly Come Dancing last year, the inspiring reality star launched her book, Your Superpower, in February, detailing the hurdles she battled to get where she is now. Tasha, who was born deaf and has a cochlear implant, tells OK! she 'still faces difficulties' when it comes to her deafness. But in the spirit she's embraced everything so far in her career, the 26-year-old from Thirsk, North Yorkshire, won't let it stop her. Here, Tasha – whose split from Andrew Le Page was confirmed by her ex in February– tells us about being a celebrity ambassador for Make-A-Wish and Disney, where she lent her support to A Disney Wish UK – a three-day experience at Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire that brought the magic of Disney to more than 200 children living with critical illness. READ MORE: 'I'm a shopping writer and River Island's summer maxi is my ultimate payday suggestion for May' She also looks back at her unforgettable Strictly journey, partnered with Aljaž Škorjanec, and her pride at representing the deaf community... Hi, Tasha! You've partnered with Disney and Make-A-Wish – can you tell us more? The work they do is incredible. They're a great charity, providing magical, beautiful experiences for all these families. I felt so honoured to be a part of that, to just make them happy, make them go away with these beautiful memories. It was so emotional and magical– I look back on it and just feel grateful to be part of that. You've talked about facing discrimination for being deaf. Do you still face that? Yeah, I do still face difficulties today, but, you know, it doesn't compare at all to that these children go through every single day. Everyone has their own difficulties, dealing with disabilities and illnesses, but these children live in a hospital, and for Make-A-Wish to provide an experience where it's all accessible, they can travel and they look after them. It's so important to have that in the world, because the world can be so sad and scary sometimes. It's nice to have that positive light in their lives. Now that the dust has settled, how do you look back at your time on Strictly? To make it to the final was just the dream-come-true. That TV show was just the biggest dream of mine since I was a kid, and to say that I made it to the final and I did the tour, the whole experience, is a pinch-me moment for sure. You've always said you adore dancing. Was this the perfect show for you? Oh yes, dance is my biggest passion. It was the perfect show for me. I was dancing and having the time of my life and making new friends. I look back with such fond memories of the cast, Strictly really is magic. I'm so excited to see the new cast this year. Honestly, the people doing it are going to love it. They're in for a treat. There's been controversy around celebrity welfare on Strictly. How did you find it? My experience on Strictly was really positive. I had the best time. I look back with pure happiness and joy, because I just loved every single second. Do you have any exciting work projects coming up? I want to keep doing charity work, be a real advocate for the deaf community and work with charities like Make-A-Wish. These are the things I'm passionate about, I want to help people when I can. That's what is really important to me. Is there any more fun TV stuff you're working on? I don't know yet, but the future looks bright. I want to do more presenting and documentaries. I've done a few TV appearances that are coming out soon, but I want to push myself and challenge myself in that direction this year.

The best theatre to stream this month: George Clooney's Good Night, and Good Luck goes live
Here is that rarest of opportunities: a live stream for a hit Broadway show (whose tickets are now selling for up to $849). The penultimate performance of the play, co-written by and starring George Clooney, will be broadcast on CNN and CNN International and also available online on 7 June. 'Live TV. No net. Buckle up everyone,' said Clooney, who is up for a Tony for his performance as journalist Edward R Murrow. It's an apposite move for a drama about the broadcaster's on-air challenges to Senator Joseph McCarthy. Should be a night to remember. The title is from Krapp's Last Tape and this insightful documentary is framed by Stephen Rea's preparations to play Beckett's reflective, banana-munching protagonist on tour. Like Krapp, he reflects on his younger years while also assessing the actor as truth-teller: 'It's not about showing off and telling lies.' On BBC iPlayer. Disney's Hercules moves into Theatre Royal Drury Lane this month. But anyone missing the magical kingdom of Arendelle can finally see a summer breeze: the heroically ambitious Frozen musical, recorded at the same theatre last year, arrives on Disney+ on 20 June. All eyes on how they pull off that costume change. More magic from Drury Lane: Alex Newell takes the role of the Leading Player in a birthday bash for Stephen Schwartz's quirky musical. The cast includes Jac Yarrow, Lucie Jones, Cedric Neal and Zizi Strallen, with Patricia Hodge – who starred in Pippin's West End run in 1973 – returning to the show 50 years on to sing No Time at All. On BroadwayHD. If you're pledging your time for the return of Conor McPherson's Depression-era Bob Dylan musical to the Old Vic this summer, why not whet your appetite with the New York staging? Mare Winningham and Jeanette Bayardelle were both nominated for Tony awards in 2022 for their performances. On Marquee TV. Ballet BC are now on tour with a double bill and you can see one of those pieces, Passing by Johan Inger, on Arte, as performed at Théâtre National du Luxembourg last year. The Guardian's Lyndsey Winship found the choreography's 'snippets of life's landmarks and seasons' pleasingly wry if overstretched. John Logan's portrait of the great abstract artist Mark Rothko, filmed in the West End in 2018, boasts vibrant performances from two Alfreds: Molina in the lead role and Enoch as the painter's assistant. Few plays analyse artistry as sharply. Michael Grandage's production is available on National Theatre at Home from 12 June. A taster for a new musical romcom opening this month at Stratford East, London, with music and lyrics by Bryn Christopher (co-written with Martin Batchelar and James Cooper respectively). This EP comprises four songs from the show, including the title number and, true enough, Everybody's Got Their Shit. On Apple Music and Spotify.
