Fortnite is back on US iPhones again
Fortnite is once again available on the iOS App Store in the US, according to Epic Games. You can get it from the App Store here. Epic says it has returned to the Epic Games Store and AltStore as well.
Apple kicked Fortnite off the App Store nearly five years ago after Epic Games added its own in-app payment system to the game, which violated Apple's rules. But after a major court ruling in Epic Games v. Apple that forced Apple to not take fees from purchases made outside of apps, the game is available to play on US iPhones once again.
Shortly after the big ruling hit, CEO Tim Sweeney said that Epic planned to bring back Fortnite to iOS in the US. He also made a 'peace proposal:' 'If Apple extends the court's friction-free, Apple-tax-free framework worldwide, we'll return Fortnite to the App Store worldwide and drop current and future litigation on the topic.'
Ahead of the app's return, Sweeney said that Epic would use its Sweden developer account to submit the game to the US App Store.
The company also recently rolled out a new promotion to encourage players to use its payment systems: if you use Epic's payment system in Fortnite, Rocket League, or Fall Guys on PC, iOS, Android, and the web, the company will give you 20 percent back in Epic Rewards that can be used for other purchases in its games or on the Epic Games Store.

New Apple ‘Lessons' Ad Highlights Student Learning As Mac Sales Grow In India
Apple Lessons ad Apple Apple MacBooks are arguably one of the best options for students, and the Cupertino giant is highlighting this in its new ad for India. Released on June 4, the new Lessons ad focuses on how students can use a Mac to 'level up' and make the most of their studies. This comes at a time when M4 Mac sales have seen double-digit growth in a quarter. The new Lessons ad encourages students to try different approaches to learning instead of mugging up answers. It showcases a few Apple Intelligence features like Summary in Writing Tools to turn a lengthy note into short bullet points, and how the MacBook Air M4 allows students to run multiple engineering applications, including AutoCAD, MATLAB, and more simultaneously. According to a report from Counterpoint, Apple saw 17% YoY growth in the global PC market shipments in Q1 2025. It was driven by M4 series Macs. In India, Apple had a 6% PC market share with 29% growth in 2024. The Cupertino tech giant has seen very strong momentum for its MacBook sales in the country—and there are various reasons for it. 'Education as a segment is increasing. Young professionals and even young students are opting for Macs, especially after the launch of their M series chipsets, because a lot of people believe and correlate that to performance and efficiency gains, which they offer,' says Tarun Pathik, Research Director at Counterpoint. The consumer financing and discounts on Apple products are also playing a major part in MacBook adoption in India. 'That [consumer financing and discounts] is one of the reasons why iPhone sales are growing in India at one of the fastest rates in the world,' he added. 'And this has led to an increase in Mac sales. We have always seen a very healthy step-by-step entry into the Apple ecosystem.' The first point of entry into the Apple ecosystem is the iPhone, which is followed by the AirPods, Apple Watch, iPad, and eventually a Mac. 'We are seeing that transition of such users who entered through iPhone a couple of years back and now they are reaching the level three or four to buy a Mac,' explains Pathik. While Apple is focusing on the education segment with its new ad, the Cupertino giant is also forming corporate partnerships that have contributed to its Mac growth. 'Indian companies like Zoho and Wipro have integrated Macs into their operations, which has increased Apple's enterprise adoption,' he said. With education and enterprise both driving momentum, Apple's Mac strategy in India seems to be working. The new Lessons ad is a timely push to deepen that growth.

Apple teases 'Slow Horses' season 5 first look and a 'Ted Lasso' star joins the cast
Are we about to get a "Slow Horses" season 5 and "Ted Lasso" crossover episode? Probably not, but Apple did just announce that one member of the AFC Richmond team will be a guest star in the upcoming season of the hit Apple TV Plus British spy thriller. In a press release, the tech giant's streaming service revealed that Nick Mohammed will be joining "Slow Horses" season 5 in an unknown guest starring role. This came alongside a release date announcement that confirmed a Wednesday, September 24 release date for season 5. I'm very curious to see what role Mohammed will play in the upcoming season of what's frankly been the best show on TV over the past several years. In "Ted Lasso," he showed the ability to play the good guy and the villain, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go in either direction. Whatever role he plays, though, it'll likely only be a brief appearance. That doesn't mean it won't be impactful, but the fact that he's listed as a "special guest star" indicates it won't be a regular role this season — though he could feature in future installments. A recent example of this is Kaitlyn Dever in "The Last of Us" season 2, who was a guest star and made a huge impact on the show, but only appeared in a handful of scenes across three episodes.
