Tanzid Hasan, Mehedi Hasan Power Bangladesh To 2-1 T20I Series Win Over Sri Lanka
Bangladesh Wrap Up Series with Clinical Win
After electing to bat first, Sri Lanka struggled to post a competitive total. Bangladesh comfortably chased down the 133-run target with 21 balls remaining, thanks to Tamim's fireworks and steady partnerships at the top.
Mehedi Spins A Web Around Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka started their innings on a positive note, scoring 14 runs in the opening over. However, the momentum was quickly broken. Mehedi Hasan bowled a game-changing spell, picking up 4 wickets for just 11 runs the best figures of his T20I career.
Shoriful Islam struck in the first over, removing the dangerous Kusal Mendis. Mehedi then ran through the middle order, dismissing Kusal Perera, Dinesh Chandimal, and captain Charith Asalanka in quick succession. Pathum Nissanka fought back with 46 runs but lacked support from the rest. Kamindu Mendis chipped in with a 15-ball 21, and Dasun Shanaka finished with a quickfire unbeaten 35 to push the total to 132/7 in 20 overs.
Tamim's Career-Best Seals the Deal
Bangladesh's chase started on a shaky note as Parvez Hossain Emon was trapped lbw by Nuwan Thushara on the very first ball. But Tamim, alongside skipper Litton Das, stitched a 74-run stand to steady the innings.
Das scored a solid 32 before being caught by Kusal Perera off Kamindu Mendis. Tamim, however, continued unfazed. He combined with Towhid Hridoy to add an unbeaten 59-run partnership and finish the chase with ease.
Tamim remained unbeaten on 73 off 47 balls, smashing six sixes and one boundary. Hridoy supported him well with a steady 27 not out.
With this win, Bangladesh capped off their T20I campaign on a high, showing strong team performance in both batting and bowling departments.

West Indies vs Australia 4th T20 playing 11, live toss time and streaming
West Indies and Australia square off in the 4th T20I of their five-match series on 27 July at Warner Park, St Kitts. Australia have already clinched the series with a commanding 3–0 lead, carrying their dominance from the Tests into the white-ball format. Standouts like Tim David, Josh Inglis, and Mitchell Owen have powered Australia's chase-heavy victories, with David's blistering century in the last game epitomising their batting strength. Skipper Mitchell Marsh's aggressive leadership has ensured that the visitors remain hungry for a clean sweep. For the West Indies, the focus is now on pride and salvaging the series. Despite individual sparks—most notably Shai Hope's maiden T20I hundred—the hosts have struggled with bowling discipline and defending high scores. At home, they'll hope for stronger showings from Brandon King, Romario Shepherd, and their spinners as they aim to reverse fortunes. Warner Park is traditionally batting-friendly, but overcast weather may assist the bowlers early on. Matt Henry guides New Zealand to T20 tri-series title win over South Africa
Star pacer Matt Henry defended eight runs in a tense final over to help New Zealand seal a narrow three-run victory over South Africa in the T20I tri-series final at Harare Sports Club on Saturday. Chasing 181 for the tri-series title, South Africa appeared firmly in control for much of the innings, needing just eight runs from the final eight deliveries with six wickets in hand. However, two exceptional catches in the deep and a composed final over from Matt Henry turned the match on its Brevis seemed to have put South Africa on course for victory with a blistering 31 off just 16 balls, but his attempt to clear the square-leg boundary was spectacularly denied by Michael Bracewell. Bracewell juggled the ball on the rope and completed a remarkable catch just inside the field of play to dismiss the very next over, Daryl Mitchell pulled off a superb diving effort at long-off to remove George Linde, who was threatening to finish the game with a big hit down the Zealand vs South Africa, Tri-series: HIGHLIGHTS With seven needed from the last over, Henry conceded just three runs and bowled a dot ball to Senuran Muthusamy off the final delivery to seal the win. The experienced pacer finished with figures of 2 for 19 from his three overs. "As a group we've been playing some really good cricket, and to get over the line in such a tight game, I'm proud of the lads," said Henry. "It's credit to the team's attitude - staying in the fight and knowing that wickets can change things quickly."Earlier, New Zealand were put in to bat and posted a competitive 180 for five. Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra led the charge with identical scores of 47, setting a solid platform for the middle order to accelerate in the latter stages. In response, South Africa's Lhuan-dre Pretorius impressed with a fluent 51 off 35 balls, keeping the chase on course. But despite their promising position, the Proteas faltered under pressure in the closing stages."We played a pretty good game - it really was a match of millimetres," said South Africa captain Rassie van der Dussen. "We've had a few players making their debuts and have tried a few different things in this series, so for the youngsters to come in and get so close, it's something we'll definitely learn from."Zimbabwe, the third side in the tri-series, lost all four of their group-stage matches.- Ends

South Africa Choke Again, Fail To Score 7 Runs In Last Over Of Tri-Series Final
Matt Henry bowled the final over of the T20I Tri-series final in Harare on Saturday, and the 33-year-old pacer successfully managed to defend 7 runs to seal a famous win for NZ. South Africa needed 7 runs from six balls on Saturday (July 26) to win the T20I tri-series final against New Zealand in Harare, but they failed to score seven runs and went on to lose the match by three runs in a dramatic manner. At the end of 19 overs in the run chase, the South African team was cruising at 174/4, and the target was 181 runs. Just when everyone started thinking that the game was over for New Zealand, Mitchell Santner handed the ball to Matt Henry, and the 33-year-old fast bowler successfully managed to defend seven runs to secure a famous win for his team. On the first ball of the final over, he bowled a dot ball against dangerman Dewald Brevis and then on the second ball picked up his wicket. Brevis tried to play a big shot against Henry but was caught by Michael Bracewell near the boundary ropes. Brevis faced 16 balls and, with the help of one four and three sixes, scored 31 runs. On the third ball, Corbin Bosch also tried to play a big shot, but this time Bracewell failed to complete the difficult catch, and the South African all-rounder completed two runs to bring down the equation to 5 needed from 3 balls. On the fourth ball, Bosch ran one run to bring George Linde back on strike. On the fifth ball, when South Africa needed 4 runs to win from two balls, Linde tried to play a big shot down the ground, but Daryl Mitchell completed a super diving catch to stun South African fans. Linde's wicket on the penultimate ball of the run chase left South Africa needing a boundary on the last ball, but Senuran Muthusamy failed to score any runs. The clip of the final over by Henry was shared on X by FanCode, and within no time, the video went viral on the internet.
