Inside Hulk Hogan's three marriages and reality TV series Hogan Knows Best

Metro24-07-2025
WWE legend Hulk Hogan lived a tumultuous life fraught with infidelity and family fallouts.
The former world champion, who has died at the age of 71, was one of the biggest names in wrestling, recently working as a WWE brand ambassador.
But over the years, Hogan – real name Terry Bollea – found himself at the centre of a number of controversies, including leaked audio of a racist rant which he later called 'unacceptable' and a year-long legal feud over a sex tape that led to a $31 million settlement.
During his life he also married three different women and appeared on his own reality TV series called Hogan Knows Best.
The WWE hall of famer married his first wife, Linda Hogan, in 1983, who he had two children with: daughter Brooke and son Nick.
Together, the family appeared on the VH1 reality series Hogan Knows Best which aired from 2005 until 2007 for four seasons.
Eventually, the pair split in July 2009, with Linda claiming they 'got torn apart' despite her still saying she 'loves him' and 'he's the father of my children'.
Years later, Linda claimed in March 2025 that the retired wrestler is a 'sex addict' and 'liar' who was estranged from his daughter Brooke, People reported.
She told E! News: 'It's been 15, however long years since I left Hulk Hogan, and my family is the worst mess.'
Following his marriage with Linda, Hogan went on to marry Jennifer McDaniel in December 2010 at their home in Clearwater, Florida.
They were married for almost 11 years before Hogan filed for divorce in October 2021, with it being finalised in February the following year.
Two years later he went on to wed his third wife, Sky Daily, who was a yoga instructor and mother of three.
In the wake of Hogan's death, several former wrestlers and Hollywood stars have led tributes honouring him, including Donald Trump, Triple H, John Cena and Sylvester Stallone.
A statement from the WWE also said: 'WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.
'One of pop culture's most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s.
'WWE extends its condolences to Hogan's family, friends, and fans.' More Trending
Hogan's family confirmed the news of his death to Us Weekly, with the Clearwater Police Department later providing more details.
'Just before 10 AM, Clearwater Police Department responded to a house in the 1000 block of El Dorado Avenue for a medical related call,' Major Nate Burnside said. 'It was discovered at that time that Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, was experiencing a serious medical related issue.
'Personnel provided medical treatment at that time and transported Mr. Bollea to Morton Plant Hospital, where he died at 11:17 AM. The Clearwater Police Department is conducting a medical investigation, which is standard in these types of cases. There are no signs of foul play or suspicious activity related to this call for service at this time.'

Burnside said records wouldn't be released today asked people to respect the privacy of Hogan's family. Operators stated the medical call was regarding a 'cardiac arrest'. His cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Newmains man who drove to London to chase dream of being a professional wrestler is tearing it up in America

Luke Scouler, better known as Crixus, is a rising star in the USA. A Newmains man who packed in his job and drove to London to enrol in a wrestling academy run by a former WWE star could be on his way to superstardom in the United States. ‌ Luke Scouler, better known to wrestling fans as Crixus, had previously been a fitness instructor before working in residential care with young people at Inspire Scotland, a social care organisation that supports children and young people. ‌ The 33-year-old said: 'I really loved that job. But it was tough emotionally. I've always had a bit of a Batman complex - I thought I was going to save everybody. ‌ 'I was in a bad place with it. I knew it wasn't for me and I was burned out. Let's go.' Scots have made it big in this business – why couldn't I?' ‌ That night, he drove to London accompanied by his dog Odin to enrol in a wrestling academy run by former WWE star Al Snow, who has shared a ring with the likes of legendary wrestling royalty such as the Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. 'I drove through the night with no plan and no place to stay,' Luke admitted. 'Me and the dog slept in the car for a bit. Eventually the guy who ran it asked if I was serious. I told him I'd already quit my job and left my house. That was it. We moved into the gym and didn't go back.' ‌ He first landed a place at OVW in 2019, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) – the cult American brand featured in the hit Netflix documentary Wrestlers – after placing first at a 300-person wrestling combine. OVW is the wrestling promotion that launched the careers of John Cena and Batista. However, just as things were taking off for Luke, the Covid pandemic hit and he ended up stuck in the UK for two years. ‌ Now based in Louisville, Kentucky, he became the first ever Scottish OVW champion and is now one of their biggest stars – something which he thinks his upbringing in Scotland prepared him well for. He said: 'We've got thicker skin. You're battle-ready by the time you leave primary school, so wrestling comes naturally to us. ‌ 'I'm a smartass cheeky b******, and the accent helps too. Over here in the States, people already think we're mental which helps. I just turned my personality up to 11. 'I wasn't pretending to be someone else – just the version of me you probably wouldn't want to sit next to in a pub. I get to act like an a*** and they still love me. They boo you, but they're cheering underneath.' ‌ The rise of Crixus comes in the wake of the success of fellow Scots such as Drew McIntyre, an OVW alumnus who became Scotland's first WWE Champion in 2020, and Edinburgh's Joe Hendry who made his WrestleMania debut this year. Portrayed by Zac Efron in the Hollywood movie The Iron Claw, former WWE Hardcore and European champion Al Snow, OVW's head trainer, said: 'With Crixus, we may have another superstar on our hands. His dedication has been incredible. "To make it in this business, you have to sacrifice and do things out of the ordinary. And that's why I think he's got what it takes.' * Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire. Sign up to our newsletters here. And did you know Lanarkshire Live is on Facebook? Revealed: Why WWE brought back Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam despite being named 44 times in Janel Grant sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE

Triple H has revealed why WWE brought back Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. One of the most prominent wrestlers of all time, Lesnar's last appearance for WWE was at SummerSlam in 2023. Lesnar returned to action even though he was named 44 times in Janel Grant's sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE. Lesnar is not a defendant in the lawsuit but had been written out of television due to his alleged involvement. Triple H explained that it was John Cena 's wish for Lesnar to be involved in SummerSlam as part of Cena's retirement tour. After the main event, Lesnar attacked Cena, setting up a potential future match between them. Speaking at the SummerSlam Post-Show, Triple H said: 'This is John Cena's wishlist. John Cena's… it's him writing the last chapter of his book, and I think people saw a conversation with us where he said we'd have to screw it up pretty badly to ruin his career. 'But it's not about that for me. It's about John being able to go out the way he wants to go out. To write his chapter. I know what that's like as a performer. I know what that's like for everybody to feel that, and I think for John to be able to do what he wants to do. 'One of the very first things I said to him is 'Who do you want? And how?' And we're working through that.' Journalist Dave Meltzer told Wrestling Observer Radio: 'Four weeks ago, WWE Legal cleared him. 'I do know, everyone figured this out but I can tell you also, factually, that the reason they didn't do the press conferences was because of this angle.' Lesnar's return to action co-incided with WWE taking away live press conferences from members of the local media following premium live events. In February Lesnar was named in the sex trafficking lawsuit against McMahon. Ex-WWE CEO McMahon allegedly enticed Lesnar into staying under contract by using former WWE employee Grant as a 'sexual pawn.' In 2021, McMahon was embroiled in discussions with Lesnar over a return to WWE when he offered her to the wrestler and told her to create personalized sexual content for a WWE superstar, the complaint alleges. According to the suit, McMahon shared explicit photos with Lesnar and told Grant: 'He likes what he sees'. Then, allegedly after Lesnar agreed his new WWE contract, McMahon is said to have sent Grant a message in August 2021, telling her 'that part of the deal was f***ing U.' The complaint had previously detailed the allegations but had not named Lesnar, instead citing an anonymous fighter. The Wall Street Journal had previously identified the wrestler in question as Lesnar. An attorney for McMahon told 'As expected, the proposed amended complaint is nothing more than the latest publicity stunt in an ongoing smear campaign. It is filled with desperate falsehoods from a team that continues to disregard the law and the truth.' A few months later, McMahon is said to have given Grant's cellphone number to the WWE star who asked her to send a video of herself urinating. The suit claims that after she did, he called her a 'b****.' McMahon is also said to have arranged a meeting between Grant and Lesnar, with a sexual encounter between the pair not taking place as the wrestler was escorted back to his plane intoxicated.

Cardi B wears a dramatic feathered cape and fishnets as she hosts WWE SummerSlam

Cardi B put on a dramatic display as she hosted WWE SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday. The rapper, 32, wore a huge, feathered cape, complete with a long train and fishnet stockings. She teamed her look with a matching corset and knee-high lace up boots, before pulling her hair into a sleek ponytail. WWE's biggest show of the year, SummerSlam, is held over the course of two nights for the first time in 2025. WrestleMania made the permanent switch to a two-night spectacular back in 2020. The show was headlined by Cody Rhodes defeating John Cena for the WWE Championship, avenging his loss to the 'Peacemaker' star at WrestleMania 41 in April. WWE's ticket prices for the event were high, with some costing over $300 per seat, especially in the lower bowl. The rapper, 32, wore a huge, feathered cape, complete with a long train and fishnet stockings Last week, it was reported Cardi B is being sued by her involvement in an incident that took place two years ago, TMZ claimed. The singer has been accused of 'assault, battery, negligence' by an anonymous woman. The alleged victim has claimed that the rapper threw a microphone at her during an afternoon party in Las Vegas. The location was Drai's Beachclub which is part of at the boutique hotel The Cromwell. In the lawsuit the woman claimed that Cardi asked fans to throw water at her because there was a heatwave in Sin City. But when a concertgoer splashed a cup of liquid with ice at her, the artist threw the microphone back at her. Attorney Cierra N. Norris, who is representing Jane Doe, is holding a press conference on Thursday in Vegas. has reached out to her reps for comment. In 2023 Cardi - born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar - was cleared legally after an investigation of the incident. She did not face any charges, her legal team told TMZ. 'This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi,' a trio of lawyers for the pop star - Drew Findling, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld - told TMZ in a statement. They continued: 'On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept's diligent and prompt resolution of this matter.' The WAP hitmaker was seen hurling the microphone from the stage after getting splashed by a drink thrown by a fan, in a video shared to Pop Base Twitter. The person who was struck by the mic filed a report with authorities in the wake of the incident. While the pop superstar was listed as a suspected batterer in the incident, police said that no crime occurred and the case had never been sent to the district attorney.
