Ranvir and Ed were accompanied by Richard Arnold, GMB's entertainment correspondent, for a feature showcasing the latest celebrity and television updates, though one of Richard's reports left Ranvir visibly uncomfortable. Richard began discussing Christmas as he disclosed that companies are starting to consider their seasonal marketing campaigns, despite the festivities being several months distant. We need to frock up for Halloween first!" The GMB presenter continued by disclosing that actress Aimee Lou Wood, known for Sex Education and The White Lotus, has secured herself a commercial contract for the holiday period, according to fresh reports. "But the battle has begun for the Christmas ad already. It's only 28 weeks away! But one brand has reportedly recruited Aimee Lou Wood already, to not just be the star of any ad, she'll be the star of an M&S ad," he enthusiastically informed Ranvir and Ed. Richard wrapped up: "The White Lotus actress will be picking up from Dawn French and her fairy alter-ego, and filming will start later this month." Still reeling from the Christmas reference, Ranvir declared: "Well, good for her!" whilst Richard chimed in: "Yes, exactly. Cha-ching!" Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Good Morning Britain had the pleasure of welcoming Josie Gibson on Thursday (7 August), where she joined hosts Ranvir Singh and Ed Balls to discuss her latest television endeavour. Josie, who is a familiar face from ITV's This Morning, has been immersed in filming her new show, Josie Gibson's Big Country Build, which follows her journey as she turns her Somerset abode into an eco-friendly sanctuary with assistance from her nearest and dearest. GMB aired a promotional clip for the upcoming seven-part series, revealing Josie's candid experiences of embarking on such an ambitious renovation project, including how it has drained her finances. In conversation with the hosts, Josie opened up about the hurdles of working alongside family and friends during the transformation process. Ranvir initiated the discussion by remarking, "You know what, you used to live in a caravan before all of this, and now, just a few years later, you've bought this enormous house. You're a great British success story, Josie!" To which Josie humorously responded, "Well, I'm moving back into a caravan, I don't know about that!" She elaborated on her lifelong aspiration to create an eco-conscious home that's "as off-grid as possible". The beloved television personality is collaborating with her brothers, Josh and Charlie, who deal in scrap metal, her cousin Tom, a professional builder, and a crew of local talent to bring her vision to life in Somerset. Josie confessed on GMB that this venture brought considerable difficulties. Speaking to Ed and Ranvir, she revealed, "I've actually roped the family in. They say never to work with family or animals, and I've done just that. To say my stress levels are up here.. "They are great, they are amazing, but there are a lot of challenges, let's say.", reports the Mirror. Nevertheless, the This Morning presenter seemed to harbour no second thoughts about embarking on such an ambitious undertaking, despite the "massive obstacles" she's encountered along the way. "I've had a lot of sleepless nights," the mother-of-one Josie confessed. "Sometimes, you get this great big dream and you follow your dreams, but you don't realise, with those dreams, there could be quite a lot of hurdles." Josie's upcoming ITV programme, created by MGM Alternative, is scheduled to broadcast in 2026. ITV has not yet announced a definitive launch date. The fresh television venture comes after her four-part Channel 5 travel programme, Around the World in First Class, which debuted earlier this year. The show saw the presenter journeying to destinations including Hong Kong.

The Chase's Mark Labbett says appetite 'switched off' when he lost 10st
The Chase's Mark Labbett says appetite 'switched off' when he lost 10st The Chase star Mark Labbett - known as The Beast - has opened up about his weight loss, and how he thinks it impacted his love life before he went on the hit ITV game show Mark Labbett (Image: James Gill - Danehouse, Getty Images) Mark Labbett, known as The Beast on ITV1's The Chase, believes his past weight issues may have impacted his dating life. The 59-year-old quiz master, who once tipped the scales at 29 stone but has since dropped 10 stone, as reported by OK! magazine in March, feels that his size contributed to his lengthy single status. He spent over two decades without a significant other before entering into relationships, including his marriage to Katie Labbett, 32, his second cousin, whom he wed in 2014 and separated from in 2020. He also dated TV presenter Hayley Palmer, 44, in 2023, but their relationship ended abruptly in May 2024 with a "three-minute" phone call shortly after celebrating their first year together. Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the E4's Celebs Go Dating show launch party at The Broadcaster gastropub in White City, West London, on July 24, Mark reflected: "Prior to being on telly, I would say I've gone from being a beta male to an alpha male in that previously, because you were very heavy and very overweight, you didn't get a lot of dates, which is why I was a single man." He noted the change in his romantic prospects since gaining fame: "Suddenly, who knew being on your own TV show means you suddenly get a bit more practice." When questioned about any concerns that his weight might have been a barrier to finding love, The Beast responded: "Not really. You just got used to that." Mark Labbett is taking part in the new series of Celebs Go Dating (Image: BANG Showbiz) Mark, who is eager to find his ideal partner on Celebs Go Dating with the assistance of dating experts Paul Carrick Brunson, 50, Anna Williamson, 44, and Dr. Tara Suwinyattichaiporn, 36, has disclosed that the COVID-19 pandemic contributed to his significant weight loss. The television personality, father to seven-year-old Lawrence from his previous marriage to Katie, shared: "One positive about COVID-19 was that I was running after my boy during COVID-19, lost weight. "And the other thing is, I got what I think was COVID-19 – remember in the early days, you didn't get tested unless you got so ill, you had to go to hospital. And I was ill, but not like that. "And to a certain extent, it switched my appetite off, and it's never come back. "Even now, people who know me go, 'You used to eat about three times that,' and I'd agree with them. "So that's helped really. I lost about 10 stone." Article continues below Fans can tune into Celebs Go Dating 2025 starting Monday, August 11, at 9pm on E4.
