HasanAbi controversy resurfaces over alleged 2012 tweet linked to Diddy parties
Twitch political commentator Hasan Piker, known online as HasanAbi, is facing criticism over a resurfaced tweet allegedly referencing rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs. On April 17, 2025, tech entrepreneur Dan Saltman accused Hasan of defamation and shared what he claimed was a screenshot of the tweet.
Saltman posted an image of a tweet allegedly written by Hasan on December 20, 2012, which read: 'I would love to hang in Diddy's Ciroc Entourage and trickle down bang anything thrown his way.' The claim came after Saltman alleged that Hasan had publicly called him a 'diddler.'
Saltman, who is CEO of Redact—a social media deletion software—further accused Hasan of past misconduct, including visiting a brothel that was later raided for human trafficking and trying to gain access to parties hosted by Diddy. He also questioned why platforms like The Daily Show would continue to feature Hasan in light of these claims.
He went on to allege that Hasan attempted to delete the tweet once headlines involving Diddy began circulating. In a sarcastic post on X, Saltman wrote, 'We appreciate you purchasing our software to delete these tweets… JK, Hasan is too cheap to buy our software. He must have manually deleted that the second the Diddy news hit.'
In a separate post, Saltman claimed that Hasan had once called the police on an ex-partner and mistreated sex workers. He added that 'more receipts' would be shared soon to support his claims. Saltman clarified he has never met Diddy personally.
As of now, HasanAbi has not responded publicly to the allegations, and the authenticity of the 2012 tweet has not been independently verified.

A man known as Lil Jay has announced plans to sue Twitch streamer and rapper DDG, his brother DuB, and their crew after an altercation at DreamCon 2025. The incident occurred after Lil Jay repeatedly called DDG 'doo doo garbage,' a nickname that's been used online following recent abuse allegations made by singer Halle Bailey against the streamer. Footage from the event, now viral on social media, shows Lil Jay being punched and thrown to the ground by DuB, DDG's brother, before security intervened. In a TikTok posted after the incident, Jay stated, 'I gotta take legal action against him, his brother, somebody out here. That's unacceptable for real.' He added that he believed the 'doo doo garbage' nickname was 'all jokes' and didn't expect such a violent reaction. Meanwhile, DDG responded to the incident by warning others not to use the phrase, saying the last person who did 'lost some Mario coins.' DuB also responded, mocking Jay's legal threats and stating, 'You cannot sue nobody for trying to fight me… it didn't go the way that your brain thought it was gonna go.' The incident has further fueled controversy surrounding DDG, who is already facing public backlash amid serious allegations from Halle Bailey.
