Sisi, Macron Discuss Strategic Partnership, Regional Stability

Nada Mustafa President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call, on Monday, from French President Emmanuel Macron. The call addressed the overall state of bilateral relations between Egypt and France. Both presidents expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation, especially following President Macron's historic visit to Egypt in April 2025, during which bilateral relations were elevated to the level of a strategic partnership. Moreover, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to implementing all pillars of this partnership and further strengthening cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. Particular emphasis was placed on expanding French investments in Egypt and increasing the involvement of French companies in major Egyptian economic projects. The call also discussed recent regional developments, most notably the Palestinian issue. President Sisi praised France's supportive stance toward the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, reviewing Egypt's ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza, facilitate the exchange of hostages and detainees, and ensure the entry of humanitarian aid. He also confirmed Egypt's support for the upcoming Peace Settlement Conference scheduled to be held in New York in June 2025, stressing that the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital is the only path to achieving lasting peace in the Middle East. Macron, for his part, expressed his appreciation for Egypt's role in enhancing regional security and working to restore stability in the region. He reiterated France's support for Egypt's efforts to stop the war in Gaza and end the humanitarian crisis. Macron also praised the official and popular efforts he witnessed during his visit to Egypt, particularly in delivering humanitarian aid and receiving injured Palestinian civilians. Furthermore. the call underscored the importance of continued coordination between Egypt and France on key regional issues of mutual concern, in order to reinforce regional security and restore stability. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks
