Collector inspects Bhu Bharati revenue meet
Wanaparthy: District Collector Adarsh Surabhi visited the Bhu Bharati revenue meet held in Edutla village of Gopalpet mandal on Friday during which he urged the public to make the best use of the meet if they have any land-related issues. A help centre was set up at the event; those with land problems could fill a sample application form at the centre, provided they bring appropriate documents.
The Collector assured that people need not worry about their land issues and promised that justice would be done to everyone through the Bhu Bharati initiative. He directed the revenue officials to take steps to quickly clear the applications received during the event. He advised that wherever possible issues should be resolved on the spot and notices related to succession should be issued immediately.
As many as 28 applications were received from the village. The Gopalpet mandal was selected as a pilot project area; from May 5 revenue meets are being conducted in various villages in the mandal. So far 322 applications have been received. RDO Subrahmanyam, Gopalpet tahsildar Pandu, and revenue staff accompanied the collector.

HYDERABAD: Several Congress MLAs and senior leaders from the Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha constituency have lodged a strong protest with AICC in-charge for Telangana Meenakshi Natarajan over the lack of access to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and other ministers and having to wait three to four hours to see them. A legislator from Mahbubnagar district pointed out marginalisation of BC and SC leaders, stating, 'BC and SC leaders are being sidelined, and they lack opportunities to fight for their rights, which is causing unrest at the grassroots level.' The MLA also questioned why the chief minister and ministers fail to allot time to discuss development works and cadre welfare, making the elected representatives wait for hours. The Nagarkurnool constituency meeting saw heated debates, with Alampur Congress leaders lodging formal complaints against MP and party's Disciplinary Action Committee chairman Mallu Ravi. They accused him of favouring BRS MLA from Alampur by sanctioning his bills while neglecting Congress leaders' bills. This apart, Alampur leaders demanded action against former ZP chairperson Sarita Tirupataiah and DCCB chairman Vishnuvardhan Reddy for alleged misconduct. In the Warangal constituency session, Natarajan directed MLAs, MLCs and senior leaders to actively promote the government's welfare schemes implemented over the past 17 months. She emphasised that these schemes are the 'backbone' of the party and urged leaders to work with unity to strengthen their public outreach. Mahesh Goud, meanwhile, called for better coordination between veteran and new party members. He asked the seniors to resolve issues and prepare for the upcoming local body elections, which he said would reflect on the MLAs' performance. The TPCC chief also expressed optimism about the positive response to initiatives like the BC caste census, SC sub-classification, PDS fine-quality rice distribution and the Bhu Bharati programme, underscoring their impact on boosting the party's ground-level support.

TPCC chief urges MLAs to conduct self-assessment ahead of local body elections
HYDERABAD Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud urged party MLAs to conduct a self-assessment of their 17-month performance, ahead of local body elections. He also reiterated the party's decision to fill up positions soon based on eligibility of party members. A review meeting for the Warangal parliamentary constituency was held at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday. AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan attended as the chief guest, along with Advisor to Chief Minister Vem Narender Reddy, Warangal MP Kadiyam Kavya, MLAs, and MLCs. Addressing the meeting, the TPCC chief emphasised the importance of identifying active and committed workers, giving them due priority, working in coordination with seniors and juniors, and acting as a bridge between the party and the government. He also highlighted the need for leaders and activists to work closely with people, promoting government welfare schemes and solving local problems. The meeting saw a positive response from people towards various government initiatives such as caste census, SC sub-classification, fine rice scheme, and Bhu Bharati. Leaders were encouraged to work towards implementing these schemes.

Don't misbehave with farmers attending revenue meetings: DC to officials
Khanapur: Nirmal district Collector Abhilasha Abhinav has given clear instructions to officials that they should behave politely with farmers attending village revenue conferences. She said that the district administration has taken the video related to the village revenue conferences that went viral on social media seriously. The ASI who misbehaved with a farmer during the revenue conference has been suspended. She said that further investigation will continue. She advised all the officers to provide cooperation to the people attending the revenue conferences. The government has ambitiously introduced the new Bhu Bharati law to resolve land issues. He said that the Bhu Bharati village revenue conferences will be held in all mandals from 03 to 20 of this month as part of the second phase. The Collector said that applications related to more than 1,000 problems have already been received in 36 revenue villages. The Collector urged all the people to submit their land issue applications at the revenue conferences and have them resolved.
