These Two Cool Mass Effect Mods Look Like The Perfect Way To Revisit A Classic Trilogy
If you're like me and haven't played the original Mass Effect trilogy in some time, then boy do I have some good news for you if you have the game on PC or are thinking of grabbing a copy on Steam. A pair of wildly impressive mods for the Legendary Edition remaster of everyone's favorite Xbox 360-era space opera trilogy contains so many exciting tweaks and so much new material that even I, someone who thought I was probably never gonna play those games again, is now thinking about how I'm gonna clear hard-drive space to hit the stars once more.
The LE3 Diversification Project (the White House is already upset about it) and Spectre Expansion Mod from virtuoso modder Tydeous and a team of talented editors sound too good to be true. Check out the trailer and deep dive here:
For those who don't have 17 minutes to check out the video, let me break down the highlights of what's on offer in these super neat mods:
4 new combat missions
1 new hub map
12 new cutscenes
8 altered cutscenes
3 new apartment decorations
6 updated character appearances
And there's more than just what's in that list. From making subtle changes like replacing the textures on dead bodies to be more accurate to the lore of the world, to performing incredible feats of digital archaeology in restoring cutscenes that were only referred to in snippets of code in the original game's beta, the mods are packed with tons of new things to see and explore. The mods also expand how you can take in the world. For example, at the Purgatory night club from Mass Effect 2, you can now order drinks that were featured in Mass Effect: The Official Cocktail Book.
Unfortunately, though it's well-deserved after such hard work, modder Tydeos is going on a hiatus now that his work on these mods is complete. However, according to the deep dive video, should he return in the future, he hopes to expand the four brand new missions the mod adds to the game to match the scale found in official, BioWare-brewed quests.

Hikuleo Debuts At WWE Night Of Champions, Costs Jacob Fatu The US Title
Solo Sikoa had a lot of backup this afternoon, including the WWE debut of Hikuleo to defeat Jacob Fatu for the United States Championship. The numbers game was against the Samoan Werewolf at Night of Champions when Sikoa enlisted the help of JC Mateo, the returning Tanga Loa, and the debuting Hikuleo to become the new United States Champion for the first time. Advertisement The finish of the match saw Hikuleo get involved when the referee's back was turned. He chokeslammed Jacob Fatu on the commentary table before tossing him into Sikoa, who hit the Samoan Spike to pick up the pinfall victory. It should be noted that Michael Cole and Wade Barrett refused to call him by his New Japan name. So, another potential name change could be on the horizon. What WWE might use is anyone's guess, but they did trademark the name Talla Tonga last year. Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on Hikuleo's WWE debut as it becomes available. Charlize Theron's Style Streak Is a Masterclass in Fierce Femininity
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Charlize Theron's recent style streak is as fierce as her superhero movie character. For the past few days, Theron has been all over New York City and Los Angeles attending events to promote her new film, The Old Guard 2. Known for her glamorous red-carpet style, Theron's latest ensembles are a departure from the typical floor-length gown. Instead, the Oscar-winning actor and longtime face of Dior has embraced more edgy looks, some inspired by menswear but styled in a fiercely feminine way. On Monday, Theron started her day in a sweatshirt-style Alexander McQueen minidress featuring a long-sleeve, black crewneck top with a crystal, pearl, and lace fringe bottom. The actor paired the look with chunky gladiator-style black sandals. Later, the Bombshell star changed into a modern tuxedo look from Givenchy for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The outfit featured a pleated nude-colored high-neck halter top with black tailored tuxedo pants. Upon arriving at the show, the actor was photographed wearing a thick-lapel black tux jacket with the look. The next day, Theron continued with the structured pants silhouette in a head-to-toe Bottega Veneta ensemble. She looked safari-chic in a slightly oversized beige button-down tucked into a pair of white wide-leg pants with a cuffed button hem. Theron polished off the look with the brand's Large Andiamo woven tote bag and signature knot mule sandals. Later, the Monster star changed into a sweater and miniskirt fit from Chloé. She looked effortless in the slouchy navy sweater, which was styled over the multi-colored paisley-patterned skirt. Theron paired the easy look with glossy red Mary Jane pumps with several buckled straps, plus layers of gold chain necklaces. Theron's NYC style streak came to an end on Wednesday as she made her way to the West Coast for The Old Guard 2 Los Angeles premiere. For the red-carpet event that evening, the actor evoked her superhuman character and struck a fierce pose in an eye-catching black fishnet bodysuit. Theron, who is a fan of the pantless look, paired the high-neck Givenchy bodysuit with a sharp-lapel blazer and square-toe calf-high black boots. To complement the look, the actor wore her hair slicked back with simple diamond cluster earrings. With the film's July 2 release still a few days away, we can only assume that there'll be a few more Theron looks in our future. ‘Let's Get Sexy': Cardi B Hits LadyLand Stage After Surprise Guest Scarlet Envy Brings the Drama
While the wider worlds of pop and hip-hop may not have realized it when it was announced earlier this week, the name of Cardi B's long awaited sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, is suspiciously close to a viral quote from Scarlet Envy's time on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season six. But for the predominantly (if not close to exclusively) LGBTQ revelers at Brooklyn's annual LadyLand Festival, 'am I the drama?' is queer meme canon. So when Scarlet Envy emerged onstage at 1:35 a.m. on Friday night (technically Saturday morning, but who's counting) to introduce Cardi's headlining set, absolutely everyone knew why she was there. More from Billboard How LadyLand, the Scrappy Festival That Could, Is Shaping Queer Culture & Live Music In NYC Olivia Rodrigo & Ed Sheeran Perform 'The A Team' in Surprise London Duet Rihanna & A$AP Rocky Walk the Blue Carpet at 'Smurfs' Movie Premiere in Brussels 'Happy Pride, New York City!' Scarlet shouted, prowling the stage in a shimmering red outfit and gigantic wig. 'I'm here every single year — it's good to be on the stage this year, bitch. My name is Scarlet Envy: I'm the drama,' she said to cheers and finger snaps. 'I'm blessed to introduce this performer to you. She's an icon, she a legend and she's a hometown hero.' 'Who's tucking today?' Cardi B yelled at the LadyLand crowd as she rolled up on stage in a black-and-white horizontal-striped jumper. 'I'm an old bitch,' she joked. 'I have like 100 kids, I'm ready for bed.' What happened next was not the handiwork of someone with one foot in slumberland: Cardi led the eager crowd through a breathless tour of her biggest hits, despite the growing rain. 'Let's get sexy y'all!' Cardi shouted at the top of her set, perhaps needlessly – the LadyLand attendees, who had been gathering, gyrating, kiki-ing and flirting for hours, were way ahead of her, singing along and shaking ass the moment her tiny frame emerged on the fest's Fist Stage. (For those interested, 'Fist and Resist' keychains were available at the merch table.) Flanked by two giant inflatable fists with nails even longer than hers, Cardi B delivered hits like 'She Bad,' 'Money' and her new single, the Offset-eviscerating 'Outside,' with the effortless fervor and personality-drenched flow that catapulted her to fame. 'Imma spill some tea, get ready for the tour,' the five-time Billboard Hot 100 topper promised the audience of what was to come. Four of those five chart toppers ('WAP,' 'Bodak Yellow,' 'I Like It,' 'Up') were accounted for during her show. Despite the persistent rain that gathered strength throughout Cardi's set, the audience remained undaunted and rapt; after all, it's not every day you get to see a hip-hop superstar perform under the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (LadyLand has called Greenpoint's Under the K Bridge Park home since 2023). Prior to Cardi B's headlining set, Ladyfag, the LadyLand founder and a driving force in NYC nightlife, told the crowd about her history with the Bronx-raised rapper. 'It's a full circle moment for me and Cardi,' she explained: back in 2017, before Cardi ascended to mainstream success with 'Bodak Yellow,' she performed up at Holy Mountain, LadyFag's legendary NYC monthly throwdown. 'She got very excited about being with the gays,' Ladyfag recently told Billboard of that February 2017 party. 'She was only supposed to do a few songs, but she wouldn't stop. Within a few months, she became one of the biggest stars in the world — and she always remembered it.' That connection and warmth was obvious on Friday night, with Cardi blowing past her bedtime to give the gays, the dolls and everyone else an experience beyond what any other NYC festival provides. Saturday (June 28) is the second and last night of LadyLand 2025, with FKA Twigs headlining and performances from Pabllo Vittar, Boris, Eartheater, VTSS, Isabella Lovestory and Kevin Aviance.
