‘Completely naked': Spanish teen under investigation after 16 classmates say AI nudes of them posted online
Authorities launched the probe after 16 girls from an educational institute in the Valencia region reported that manipulated sexual images of them had been circulated online and on social media.
The case began in December when one student filed a complaint, saying that AI-generated photos and a video — showing her 'completely naked' — had been posted to a fake social media account created in her name.
According to a police statement, investigators later traced the IP addresses behind the accounts to the suspect's home, leading to his identification. He is now being investigated for the offence of corruption of minors.
This is not the first time Spanish authorities have uncovered AI-generated explicit content involving minors. In March, the government announced plans to introduce legislation that would criminalise the creation of non-consensual AI-generated sexual imagery.
The proposed law — which Madrid says would be the first of its kind in Europe — has not yet been passed by parliament. — AFP

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested two men in connection with the circulation of a video depicting an effigy resembling Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim brought to the Pas-led rally, which took place here on Saturday. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail said communication devices believed to have been used to upload and distribute information related to the incident were also seized when the police arrested the suspects, aged between 21 and 47. "A remand application for the suspects arrested will be made," he said in a statement. Khalid said police are investigating rally participants who brought and whipped an effigy resembling the prime minister, in which the act was recorded and uploaded to social media by certain parties. He added the case is being investigated under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act, Section 504 of the Penal Code, Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 by the Classified Crime Investigation Unit, D5 Division of Bukit Aman's Criminal Investigation Department. Khalid said the public is advised to be responsible social media users and not to use it as a platform for incitement that could lead to disharmony and disrupt public order. Theft by drug addicts drives Kedah crime spike, says police chief
ALOR SETAR: Theft committed by drug addicts has emerged as the primary factor behind the surge in index crime cases in Kedah, according to state police chief CP Adzli Abu Shah. From January 1 to July 27, Kedah recorded 2,852 index crime cases, with nearly half linked to theft by drug users. 'Kedah police will maintain the focus outlined by former police chief Datuk Fisol Salleh, which is to eradicate drug-related crime,' Adzli said. He stressed that addressing drug addiction could significantly reduce crime rates. 'We believe that if drug issues can be tackled and eliminated as much as possible, the overall index crime rate in Kedah can be brought down,' he added. Adzli's remarks followed Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail's call for Kedah to intensify efforts against drug abuse.
