Man arrested by Tyler PD after hitting patrol vehicle during pursuit
SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – A man was arrested by the Tyler Police Department last week after evading arrest and committing aggravated assault against a public servant, according to an arrest affidavit.

The incident started on April 23 when two officers from the Tyler Police Department began to pursue a 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by Ougist Williams. The driver was traveling down Jacksonville Highway when officers who believed the Nissan had been previously used in an aggravated assault case began to pursue the vehicle, according to an affidavit.
During the pursuit the affidavit stated Williams struck a Tyler PD patrol truck with his car before his vehicle came to a stop. After stopping the Nissan, Williams fled from the scene and was later found in a creek where he was placed under arrest.
Following his arrest, Williams was charged with two counts of evading arrest and one count of committing aggravated assault against a public servant.

A professional wrestler has been charged with felony kidnapping and assault after his alleged victim left a note in a Florida sandwich shop begging for help, according to authorities. Jordan Williams, a 34-year-old blue-haired wrestler known as Jayden Steele in the ring, was busted after investigators reviewed surveillance footage at the Jersey Mike's in Navarre where the note was found, according to NBC 15 News. Sandwich maker Eleanor Coffee told the outlet that she found the crumpled-up note on the restroom floor. '[The author] was like, 'Please help me. I'm at this address in Navarre. I need you to call the police and do a wellness check,'' said Coffee, who immediately alerted her manager and called 911. 'Let cops know don't approach the house unless my Hyundai Kona is in the driveway because his parents will alert him and he will hurt me… I just want to get home to my kids and family… He controls my phone so he will know [if you message me],' the note read, according to the arrest report seen by EWrestling News. Santa Rosa County Sheriffâs Office The note was found by employees just 20 minutes after it had been left on May 27, according to the arrest report. Cops were able to track down the alleged victim thanks to the details left in the note. Surveillance footage then led to Williams, who has a history of domestic violence, Chief Tifft from Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office told NBC News 15. 'There was two previous domestic violence incidents, so this is the third,' the chief said. 3 Jersey Mike's employee Eleanor Coffee found the shocking note. Deputies later found the alleged victim at a home they had on file for Williams, just two miles from the Jersey Mike's where the note was found. She had visible injuries and was rushed to the hospital for suspected broken bones and other trauma, police said. The accuser also reported a prolonged period of abuse, including six to eight months in isolation, repeated assaults and threats involving weapons, according to a news release shared by the Sheriff's Office on Facebook. She detailed three recent assaults in the past three months, including an occasion when he allegedly held a knife to her throat, a separate occasion when he strangled her and slammed her to the ground and knelt on her back, and a third when she said he punched her in the face, according to the arrest report. 3 The note was discovered in the restroom of a Jersey Mike's in Navarre, Florida. Williams made his first court appearance on May 29 and is being held without bond. He faces multiple domestic violence charges including felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felony kidnap, felony battery, misdemeanor battery/touch or strike and felony battery strangulation. Williams pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him and is currently being held at Santa Rosa County Jail. His arraignment is scheduled for June 19. 'Anybody who would do that to another woman, he don't need to be walking around free in our community,' Chief Tifft told NBC 15 News.

Police looking for man with dementia missing from Stanton
STANTON, Mich. (WOOD) — Troopers are asking the public for help searching for an 81-year-old man with dementia. Francis Joseph Smith was last seen leaving his Stanton home around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday to go to an appointment but he did not return home, according to Michigan State Police. Smith stands 5 feet, 8 inches and weighs about 238 pounds. He has short gray hair and blue eyes and was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, black tennis shoes and possibly a blue and green button-up flannel, according to MSP. He is driving a dark blue 2015 Nissan Rogue with Michigan license plate CGD928. Smith has dementia and needs medication he does not have, troopers said. 'When that vehicle passes that area of the wood line, it is shot up and we have 39 casings,' Green explained. Records indicate Baker was convicted of two gang charges and acquitted of two more, but all describe YSL as a criminal street gang. 'It's no joke when a two-year-old watches their 21-year-old mother die,' Willis said. Green says Baker's two co-defendants are scheduled for trial this month. A spokesperson for Baker released the following statement to Channel 2 Action News: 'The Defender Council's Appellate Office represents Mr. Jamal Runtae Baker. A team of skilled appeals attorneys, investigators, and administrators is working in support of the new trial motion and looks forward to zealously representing Mr. Baker in future filings and court proceedings, but must decline further comment at this time.'
