The best Apple Watch Prime Day deals: Series 10, Ultra, and SE reduced by up to $150
While there are plenty of good deals, the Apple Watch Series 10 might be the best. The latest Apple smartwatch is currently $100 off on Amazon US – whichever size you go for. That brings the 42mm model down from $399 to $299 (a saving of 25%) and the 46mm model down from $429 to $329 (a saving of 23%). That's a return to the lowest price we've seen for the Series 10.
The Apple Watch Series 10 offers an elegantly slim redesign and improved charging speeds. Apple has reshaped the watch to be thinner, with a slightly larger display. Together with more rounded corners, this creates a notably refined, comfortable fit.
However, the Series 10's battery life – or lack thereof – is a sticking point. Despite the newer design, Apple has kept the familiar 18-hour lifespan, meaning daily charging remains essential. Faster charging is a welcome improvement; with a 15-minute top-up lasting a full workday, there's more flexibility, though it doesn't entirely offset the limitations.
On the health and fitness front, new additions like sleep apnea tracking and the Vitals app expand Apple's impressive health suite, pushing the device further into serious health monitoring territory. For all its style, the Series 10 maintains robust functionality, from new workout features to a refined watchOS with added tools like Double Tap for smoother app interactions.

If you're after something a little more rugged and prepared for adventure, the souped-up Apple Watch Ultra 2 might be more your style. It offers a more rugged titanium body with an upper lip for protection. The sapphire glass is also more resistant to damage. It packs a siren, cellular as standard, extra GPS, new water sensors, and more to make it a top adventure smartwatch.

If you need to scale back on the features (and price), the Apple Watch SE might be your best bet. During the Amazon's Spring Sale, you can score the watch for even less than usual. Over on Amazon US, the smartwatch is $80 off – down from $249 to $169. It's a very compelling price for this cheaper Apple smartwatch.
It comes with all the Apple Watch features you'd expect, including health tracking and Crash Detection. The SE drops some premium health sensors, such as the ECG and temperature, and packs a smaller battery. But it's still a fantastic smartwatch option, especially as your first.
New from the previous version is a nylon composite back, which shaves 2.9g and 3.4g off the 40mm and 44mm cellular versions respectively. Besides the lighter load, the updated SE shares a dual-core processor with the Series 8 and Ultra, giving it a 20% speed boost.

This iPad Pro camera rumour may surprise you, but it makes more sense than you think
The latest iPad Pro, complete with OLED display, M4 processor, and support for the new Apple Pencil Pro, is fantastic. Five star fantastic, in fact, since that's the score it got in our review. But many power users have complained about the tablet's portrait front-facing camera – the one at the top of the device. Apple's 10th-gen iPad switched this out for a landscape one, which makes much more sense when you're video calling. But it was notably absent on the iPad Pro – until now, allegedly. According to a new report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the next iPad Pro could ship with not one but two front-facing cameras – one for both landscape and portrait orientation. It sounds excessive at first, doesn't it? But the more I think about it, the more I reckon it actually solves one of the iPad's most quietly annoying quirks. While having the selfie snapper in landscape orientation makes sense for Zoom calls or other productivity needs – it's actually more limiting. Angry mod, let me explain. While the portrait-oriented camera meant your eyes weren't centred or you had to put your iPad at a weird angle, you could still use it in landscape mode. You simply cannot use the landscape-oriented camera in portrait mode. Which sucks for selfies (yes, some people do take them), FaceTime calls, or moving around with the device. So, Apple giving us the best of both worlds on the next iPad Pro actually makes sense. With two front-facing cameras, the iPad Pro could auto-detect your orientation and pick the right camera to centre your mug – whether you're FaceTiming, snapping a shameless selfie, or trying not to fall asleep on yet another Zoom call. I think this would feel like a proper quality-of-life upgrade, rather than just another spec sheet filler. As for the rest of the iPad Pro, we know some other information already. Apple's expected to shove its shiny new M5 chip into this model, which should bring the usual generational bump in performance and battery life. The rear camera will also likely see a spec bump, and the new device will likely come with iPadOS 26 out of the box. The next iPad Pro is rumoured to launch later this year.

Love Wordle? Apple has this new game you might like to try
Even if you're not playing, you're probably already familiar with Wordle. The browser game was flooding social media back in 2022, and it's still extremely popular now that its owned by the New York Times. If you're already a big fan of Wordle and are looking for a similar game to play, Apple may just have the answer. The tech giant's new brainteaser is dubbed the Emoji Game. It officially landed in Apple News+ today, and seriously reminds me of Wordle. But with faces, symbols, and little yellow men. Emoji Game tasks you with filling in blanks in three short phrases using a curated selection of emoji. Each puzzle comes with clues, though using them means you rack up more moves. Fewer moves equals bigger bragging rights, naturally. Oh, and points too – since they matter a bit more. There's even a leaderboard via Game Center, for those who enjoy showing off their emoji fluency to friends and complete strangers. There is a twist as well! You're not just dragging and dropping smiley faces. Some of the emoji come from Apple's own Genmoji stash, courtesy of Apple Intelligence. That means they'll be entirely original creations, that might require a bit more brainwork. At launch, there's a full archive of games you can play, and from now on there'll be daily puzzles. You'll find it tucked into the Puzzles section of the Apple News app. Although, you will need to be a News+ subscriber to play. Apple says there are more games on the way. Plus, it's planning to roll Emoji Game into the upcoming Apple Games app this autumn. If you're already hooked on Apple News+ crosswords or Quartiles, this latest entry might just be the one that pushes you to justify a News+ subscription. If nothing else, it's a new excuse to send screenshots of your gaming prowess to your group chat – since you can share results via Messages, Mail, and social media.
