Doorbell camera captures man dragging dog down street in Fulton County
A Fulton County man is facing multiple animal cruelty charges after a doorbell camera captured him dragging and slamming his dog to the ground.
Clarence Earl Jones, 44, of Atlanta, was arrested and booked into the Fulton County Jail on May 27. He's currently facing six counts of animal cruelty, according to jail records. The charges stem from reported incidents on March 25, May 13 and May 27.

The Fulton County Police Department's Animal Services unit started investigating claims of animal abuse after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen, Channel 2's Michael Seiden reported.
Investigators say they also received two pieces of video that showed the alleged abuse.
'A concerned citizen had video of Clarence Jones dragging a Cane Corso dog across the pavement by a leash and then picking the dog up and throwing it to the ground,' said Capt. Nicole Dwyer, who supervises the animal services division. 'During that investigation, we found an additional video of Clarence Jones punching a dog in the face multiple times with a closed fist and then body slamming the dog.'
After reviewing the videos, police obtained a search warrant for Jones' home, where they discovered 23 dogs that were living in deplorable conditions.
'There was one room that had 17 French Bulldogs inside that were walking in their own feces, no food, and no water,' she added.
Investigators also found two pregnant dogs and multiple puppies. They also searched the backyard, where they made another disturbing discovery.
'There were four Cane Corso adult dogs that were housed in makeshift kennels that were falling in on the dog with tattered tarps, no food, no water, walking in mud and their own feces,' she added.
Dwyer said that Jones had been breeding the dogs at his home.
Authorities rescued all 23 dogs from the home, and they're now being cared for by the county until they're ready for adoption.
As of Wednesday evening, authorities were still working to locate the Cane Corso seen in the videos.
'If you do see something, call animal control or call 911 and report it,' Dwyer said. 'If you don't report it, then no one's ever going to know about it. A lot of our cases come from citizens who are calling in. We're very thankful that they do that.'

5 hospitalized after car submerges into pond, OSHP says
Several people were hospitalized after a vehicle went into a retention pond Thursday night. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Officers, state troopers, and medics responded at around 6:25 p.m. to the area of U.S. 40 and Park West Drive on reports of a vehicle into a pond, according to West Jefferson Police Brandon Smith. The driver reportedly got out of the vehicle, and a trooper rescued a child before the car sank. Lt. Thompson told WBNS that another person was rescued before the car was fully submerged. It is currently unknown when the other two people got out of the vehicle, according to OSHP. 'Multiple fire departments responded to the scene, providing critical assistance with rescue operations and the transportation of victims to area hospitals,' said Chief Smith. Medics transported three people to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus with 'non-life-threatening injuries,' WBNS said. Drugs, cheeseburgers: Raid inside Fulton County Jail reveals contraband operation, officials say
Deputies and detention officers conducted a raid Thursday inside the main jail in northwest Atlanta and uncovered a contraband operation at the jail annex in Union City. Channel 2 Investigative Reporter Mark Winne got exclusive access to the raid. The shakedown was a rapid response to something discovered outside the jail that alarmed the Fulton County Sheriff's Office – a large hole cut in the fence. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] 'Just doing regular security rounds, I got on the shift and came back here and discovered this,' said a law enforcement official. In all, three holes were found in three levels of fencing surrounding the complex. Chief Jailer Jarrett Gorlin says they found makeshift fishing line in a cell already closed because someone had burned a hole in the window. He said they were using it to reel in the contraband from outside. Gorlin says inmates commonly use wires in lighting fixtures and pieces of metal ripped from the jail interior to melt holes in cell windows. 'More than likely from last night's load, these are cigarettes that they pack in socks, copious amounts of what appears to be marijuana, cell phone, more homemade shanks, and what they use to burn the windows out,' he said. The sheriff's office says the main jail on Rice Street was not the only facility affected. On Wednesday morning, a deputy assisted by Union City police arrested three people laying down by a hole in the fence at the jail's south annex with bolt cutters nearby. They had a bag containing cigarettes, marijuana, cell phones, candy, vapes, phone chargers, cheeseburgers and more.
