3-year-old boy killed by ‘physical force'; father arrested

Columbus police were called to the 100 block of Buckeye Circle just before 7:05 a.m. after receiving a complaint, our news partners at WBNS reported.
When they arrived, they found the child dead.

An investigation revealed that the child was 'fatally injured by physical force,' police said.
The child's father, 30-year-old Daniel Neal, was questioned by detectives, and he admitted to assaulting the child, according to court documents.
Police said Neal was arrested and charged with murder.

Jacksonville man charged with attempted murder after stabbing
A Jacksonville man is facing attempted murder charges after police say he stabbed another man outside a business. The arrest report shows 40-year-old Christopher Coty Lindsay was arrested Sunday, August 17, on a warrant connected to the June 27 stabbing. >>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<< Officers said it happened outside the Staff Zone employment office on North Main Street. Witnesses told police Lindsay stabbed a 28-year-old man in the chest after the two got into a fight. The victim was rushed to UF Health with life-threatening injuries. Authorities find drugs, guns during local arson investigation
Authorities found drugs and guns while conducting an arson investigation in Wayne County over the weekend, according to a spokesperson with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. The spokesperson said family members prevented a tragedy and helped a man who was trapped inside.
