Brooke Shields will only give her jewellery to one of her daughters
Brooke Shields only plans to pass her jewellery collection down to one of her two daughters.
The Blue Lagoon actress has Rowan, 22, and Grier, 19, with husband Chris Henchy but when she passes away, her younger daughter will receive her rings, bracelets and necklaces because she "understands" their value more than her older child.
She told Only Natural Diamonds: 'Only my younger daughter [will inherit my jewellery].
'My older daughter has lost every piece I've ever given her. I literally cannot do it again.
"[Grier] understands the difference between real and 'real'.
'It's not about the gold or diamonds alone—she sees the history, the workmanship, the story behind the institution of these houses.'
The 60-year-old star feels 'very attached to jewellery and diamonds.'
She joked: 'That might sound obnoxious."
But she then explained why they are so important to her.
She said: 'When you've worked hard, you're not waiting to be validated — you do something for yourself. There's a sense of empowerment in that."
Brooke learned the value of diamonds from her late mother Teri, who passed away in 2012.
She said: 'My mom always said, 'Buy yourself your own diamond — don't wait to be given one from a man'.
'My mom bought me my first emerald-cut diamond. It's very beautiful, and I got it set in a Verdura cuff.'
The Pretty Baby star has fond memories of buying jewellery to mark her travels with her mom.
She said: "Ever since I was a little girl, every time we'd go somewhere, we'd find a jewellery store — if we were in Asia, it was pearls; if we were elsewhere, it was diamonds or brooches.
'Maybe it's because she grew up in Newark during the Depression era, in poverty, and jewellery represented what she aspired to have in life.'
Brooke recalled how she used to struggle with poorly-fitting runway samples during her career.
She said of the clothes: 'They would throw runway samples on me, and my hands didn't even fit in."
But as she has got older, Brooke has lost weight due to a femur injury and its effects on her body, but she doesn't feel at ease.
She said: 'It messes with your head. Weight loss at this age is complicated."

‘Page not found': Brooke Shields podcast interview slamming ‘precious' Meghan Markle mysteriously vanishes
Brooke Shields' recent podcast interview in which she vented about Meghan Markle's 'precious' behavior has been deleted by podcast host India Hicks, it can be revealed. Shields went viral last week after revealing her candid thoughts about the ex-working royal during an episode of Hicks' podcast 'An Unexpected Journey' that was published via Substack. In the now-deleted episode, Shields recalled the time she cut off one of Markle's favourite anecdotes while appearing on stage with the Duchess. The Duchess of Sussex and the Blue Lagoon star were both tapped to sit on a panel marking International Woman's Day at the prestigious South by Southwest Festival last year. During the notorious appearance, Markle referenced the time she wrote a letter to Procter and Gamble as a child asking them to gender-neutralise a dishwashing soap commercial. The story has been repeated multiple times, including during Meghan Markle's Vanity Fair cover story she negotiated after she began dating Prince Harry. 'Meghan said, 'I didn't think only women wash dishes,'' Shields recalled. 'It wasn't fair. So I wrote to the company. And when I was 11, I wrote my first letter and when I was 11...' and she kept saying she was 11!" The entertainment industry veteran sensed that Markle's oft-repeated story about writing letters to a detergent company was hardly riveting for the audience. "It was just too precious," Shields explained to as to why she decided to chime in. "And I was like, they're not going to want to sit here for 45 minutes and listen to anybody be precious or serious.' The Endless Love star explained that she did not intend to be 'rude' to the ex-working royal but wanted to lighten the mood after Markle's earnest story. "Excuse me, I'm so sorry. I've got to interrupt you there for one minute,' she said. "I was trying not to be rude, but I wanted to be funny because it was so serious. "I just want to give everybody here a context as to how we're different," she told the crowd.' The actress then pointed out to Markle how when she was the same age she was playing a prostitute - referring to her controversial role in the 1978 film, Pretty Baby - which drew immediate laughter from the audience. "The place went insane. And then luckily, it was more relaxed after that," Shields said. As of Wednesday, all traces of the podcast have disappeared from Hicks' Substack page, with the previous link now returning a 'page not found' message. The Sussexes employ an extensive team of in-house media advisors who regularly reach out to news outlets and mastheads to respond to publicity about the Duke and Duchess. Among the team, Harry and Meghan employ both Los Angeles and London-based communications executives to handle their media relations in North America and Europe, respectively. The Sussexes recently hired a chief communications officer and a separate director of communications to help manage their public images. Last month, Forbes reported that the Sussexes have beefed up their media team even further and added external firm Method Communications to the line up. is not suggesting that Markle or her team pressured Hicks or Shields to remove the podcast episode, only that the episode has been removed from Hicks' Substack.

Brooke Shields reveals how her Tony Awards clutch bag has special connection to theatre
Brooke Shields took a clutch bag made from theatre curtains to the Tony Awards. The 60-year-old actress made an appearance at the annual ceremony honouring Broadway theatre on Sunday (08.06.25) evening at the Radio City Music Hall, and revealed that the red bag she carried with her was made from curtains that once hung at the famed venue before its renovation. She told PEOPLE: "When they renovated Radio City [Music Hall], like, 10 years ago, they tore down all the curtains, and then they made bags out of them, and my husband gave me — bought me a bag." The Blue Lagoon star - who has been married to Chris Henchy since 2001 and has daughters Rowan, 22, and 19-year-old Grier with him - has previosuly starred in productions of Grease, Cabaret, Chicago and The Addams Family over the course of her career, but thinks that she "never work on Broadway again" as she concentrates on her new role as president of Actors' Equity Association. Earlier this year, the former Hannah Montana star celebrated her milestone 60th birthday, and explained at the time that she hoped her book, Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old would spark fresh conversations about beauty ideals. She told Real Simple magazine: "I hope it opens up a conversation about what the ideals are and what beauty really means. The more I talked to women who are over 40, the more I realised that part of chasing youth is not just for themselves, but for other people. It's for partners, it's for the way you're looked at in public, and it's a dangerous, slippery slope. "We're not allowed to just grow and experience our life and be OK with it. "Beauty can come in different forms. It doesn't have to be associated with youth."
