Former F1 team boss Eddie Jordan dies aged 76
Eddie Jordan, the former Formula One team owner and current co-owner of London Irish rugby club, has died at the age of 76.
Jordan revealed in December that he had been undergoing treatment for 'aggressive' bladder and prostate cancer but said that he had 'pulled out of it, thankfully', urging men to get their prostates checked.
The cancer is understood to have returned aggressively. Jordan died in South Africa, where he lived for part of the year.
Jordan founded his eponymous team in 1991, becoming a huge paddock figure during that decade. Jordan Grand Prix achieved their best-ever result when drivers Damon Hill and Ralf Schumacher finished first and second at the Belgian Grand Prix in 1998.
They finished third in the championship the following year when Heinz-Harald Frentzen also challenged for the drivers' title, winning two races en route to a third-place finish. Frentzen had to retire from the lead of the European Grand Prix at the Nurburgring that year. Had he won he would have been within a point of the championship lead with two rounds remaining.
Jordan faded as a force in the 2000s, losing a Honda engine partnership deal to the BAR team in 2002, which combined with the loss of sponsors DHL and Benson & Hedges put the team in a difficult position. He was bought out by Midland in 2005.
Jordan, who was born in Dublin in 1948, continued to be a big figure in the sport, as a pundit on television and radio, and latterly as a podcaster on his Formula For Success podcast which he co-hosts with ex-driver David Coulthard.
A larger-than-life character, he owned homes in Cape Town, South Kensington, London and Monaco, where he kept his yacht. Even last year he was instrumental in Adrian Newey's move from Red Bull to Aston Martin, acting as Newey's agent.
Last month Jordan led a consortium to buy London Irish more than a year after the Premiership club was suspended from all rugby for being unable to pay its players.

Glasgow Warriors miss out on URC final after loss against Leinster
Leinster will host next week's United Rugby Championship final at Croke Park after dishing out a 37-19 beating to last year's winners Glasgow Warriors. The Irish province, which had endured three straight URC semi-final defeats, regained their mojo to set up a Dublin decider against the Bulls or Sharks. Dan Sheehan started and finished the first half's try-scoring to give Leinster a 25-5 lead as Jamie Osborne and Tom Clarkson crossed at a rain-hit Aviva Stadium. Osborne and Ciaran Frawley made it six tries to one before closing scores from Jamie Dobie and Sione Tuipulotu added to George Horne's fourth-minute effort. The hosts hit the ground running with Jamison Gibson-Park pulling the trigger for Sheehan to raid over in the second minute. Glasgow swiftly cut the gap to 7-5 when Kyle Rowe's inviting kick infield was dotted down by Horne. Crossing from James Lowe denied Leinster a second try before Sam Prendergast slotted over a 21st-minute penalty. A Gibson-Park forward pass ruled out an Osborne score, but the young centre duly scored out wide from a slick Lowe offload. Leinster turned a scrum penalty into five more points when Clarkson rumbled over, and Sheehan's maul try came on the stroke of half-time. Despite Tom Jordan switching to fly-half for the Warriors, Leinster, aided by Ryan Baird's player-of-the-match performance, remained in full control. Following a penalty miss from Prendergast, who had a disappointing day with the boot, Gibson-Park clinically played in Osborne in the 53rd minute to make it 32-5. Replacement Frawley followed him over the line just four minutes later, with Lowe's initial aerial take igniting a sweeping move. Sprung from the Scots' bench, Dobie raced over in the 71st minute and Tuipulotu displayed his dancing feet with a superb solo try from the edge of Leinster's 22. McDonald's new food and drinks menu for June 2025- full list
The June menu will bring both sweet and savoury treats to the fast food chain's restaurants nationwide. Some items are new to McDonald's while others have been available before and are returning for summer. From the new and returning items to when you can buy them and customer reaction, here's everything we know about the new McDonald's menu. A new Big Arch burger is making its way to restaurants and will be available to buy for £7.99 on its own or £9.99 as a medium meal. A large meal will cost £10.79. The new burger consists of two 100% British and Irish beef patties, white cheddar cheese slices, crispy onions, fresh onions, shredded lettuce, crunchy pickles and a generous layer of signature Big Arch sauce. The new Big Arch sauce is rich and creamy, the fast food chain explains. If you'd like to treat yourself to something sweet, you can look out for the new Toffee Crisp McFlurry - soft dairy ice cream with Toffee Crisp pieces and toffee sauce (£2.39). Alternatively, you can choose the new Toffee Apple Pie, a crispy pastry filled with a rich toffee flavour (£2.09). The new menu will see some new Toffee Crisp items and some returning savoury treats (Image: McDonald's) Returning to the McDonald's menu for June is the Cheesy McCrispy which consists of a 100% chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating served with lettuce, crispy onions, pink pickled onion chutney, bacon, Emmental cheese and deluxe cheese sauce. A Cheesy McCrispy burger on its own will cost £6.69 or you can make it a medium meal for £8.49. A large meal will set you back £9.29. Halloumi Fries are also returning to the summer menu with a Sweet Chilli Dip included. A box of four will cost £2.99 while a Sharebox will cost you £7.59. The Katsu Chicken One wrap is staying on the menu at McDonald's. If you haven't tried it yet, you can expect a wrap with either crispy or grilled chicken (you choose), coated in katsu sauce with crispy onions, cucumber and fresh lettuce, wrapped in a warm, toasted tortilla. If you buy the Katsu wrap by itself, it will cost you £3.49 or £2.29 if it's the wrap of the day. Make it a medium meal and it'll set you back £5.29. Deliveroo Plus is now offering McDonald's food with some offers available - from Monday, June 2 until Sunday, June 15 you can get 6-piece Chicken McNuggets for free when you spend £15 (available daily from 11am–5am). From Monday, June 2 until – Sunday, June 8, you can spend £10+ via McDelivery and enjoy a free Breakfast Wrap, available from 11am daily. When you spend £15+, you can also bag a free Big Mac. On TikTok, people shared their reactions to others trying the burger early. With some countries already having it on their menu, some told other people their own experiences.
