Castleford Tigers earned a fourth Super League win of the season after surviving a late rally to beat Hull FC at the MKM Stadium.Tries from Innes and Louis Senior either side of Harvey Barron's score put the Tigers in control.Further scores from Daejarn Asi and Tom Amone appeared to put Castleford out of sight.But Lewis Martin's late double made it a nervy ending on a night littered with individual errors for Hull, who remain without a home win.More to follow.

Antonio Conte has aimed a brutal dig at former side Tottenham for lacking ambition and viewing Champions League qualification as 'the same' as winning the Premier League. The Italian is a perennial winner and has lifted league titles with Chelsea, Napoli, Juventus and Inter Milan. The 55-year-old last month led Napoli to Serie A victory, for only the second time in 33 years. But despite his trophy-ladden managerial career he was was unable to end Spurs' trophy drought during his 16-month stint in north London. Rather it was Ange Postecoglou who delivered a stunning Europa League win to give Tottenham their first piece of silverware in 17 years. Just 16 days later the Australian was sacked by chairman Daniel Levy and the board and has since been replaced by Thomas Frank from Brentford. Conte qualified for the Champions League with Spurs in his debut season at the club after they finished fourth in 2022. But he left in the middle of his second campaign after launching a remarkable attack on the club's culture and calling his players 'selfish'. Conte, fresh from becoming the first manager to lift the Serie A title at three different clubs, was quick to take another jab at his former side, claiming he views success 'very differently'. 'I arrived at Tottenham in November with the team ninth in the table, in the first year we beat Arsenal to the Champions League spot. For Tottenham, you must understand, qualifying for the Champions League is practically the same as winning the Premier League title,' he told Sky Italia. 'I remember at the end of the game with Norwich, there were celebrations in the dressing room. I called my staff over and told them, we'd better not get used to this sort of celebration, meaning we shouldn't be celebrating Champions League qualification as if it was the Premier League title. 'We were accustomed to celebrating for very different things.' Conte's criticism of Spurs' culture were echoed by Jose Mourinho last month, who blasted Levy for prioritising Champions League qualification to trophies. Following their Europa League win, Mourinho said: 'The impact is obvious, Tottenham plays Champions League and of course for Mr Levy, the millions that the Champions League gives for him is the best news.' 'For the fans, for the players, for Ange, it's a title.' Mourinho, who managed Tottenham for 17 months, has previously hit out at Levy for the nature of his departure. 'The most ridiculous one was a club that has an empty trophy room sacks me two days before a final,' he said. 'That was the one that was... come on,' he said. 'Tottenham have never won for 50 years. I don't remember when. I am two days before a final and I couldn't do the final. It's the one which doesn't smell well.'

However, before Sam was forced to quit, he was he was pictured training with Louis this week at Soccer Aid HQ in Tring, Herts, where the England and Rest of the World teams have been preparing for the match. After looking at the pictures in detail, a body language expert believes that Louis displayed a "playground mentality" towards Sam on the pitch. Expert Judi James said that while Sam was smiling and happy, and get along with the other players, One Direction star Louis seemed "glum" and "separate". She told The Mail: 'There seems to be more of a playground dynamic growing from the body language here. "Sam seems to be very much part of the core group, sitting central and being the center of their attention while Louis walks by looking glum at times and rather peripheral to the social interaction. "His eye direction might not be exclusively aimed at Sam, but he does seem to be checking the group out with an unsmiling facial expression." The popular star pulled out due to injuries sustained in his epic marathon challenge, in which he made the gruelling 260-mile trip from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford via foot and bike. A source told us: 'Sam is gutted he can't play, but the match has just come too soon since his efforts. 'He's still going to be a presence and play a big part in the coverage but he won't be able to compete on the field.' They added: 'There is a small blessing in his withdrawal as the focus on him and Louis will disperse. 'Their every move will be watched so it's a relief in some ways they won't be on the pitch together.' Sam will play a 'ceremonial role' in tomorrow's match, kicking off the game before heading into the stands. MANCHESTER UNITED have a new striker target after being rejected by Viktor Gyokeres. The Sporting star was United's No1 priority this summer but the deal is dead following talks this week. 2 Gyokeres was not happy with the Red Devils' offer and now wants to move to Arsenal instead. United are still in need of a striker and will now turn their attention to Victor Osimhen. The in-demand striker scored 32 goals in 37 games on loan at Galatasaray last season, and the Turkish side are keen to make his stay permanent. So far, though, no deal has been agreed, with Osimhen seemingly ready to consider all his options - including a potential move to the Premier League. Saudi Arabian clubs are interested and would be able to afford his £500,000-a-week wage demands. That could prove a stumbling bloke for United however, and player sales would have to happen to get a deal for Osimhen over the line. It is understood the Nigerian could be available for £65million. And he was said to be open to a move to Old Trafford. United are also in danger of missing out on another top target - Bryan Mbeumo. The winger was said to have decided on moving to United but that was before Tottenham appointed Thomas Frank. Spurs have held initial talks with Brentford and could hijack United's £60m move for the Cameroonian.
