Avika Gor, the actor who became a household name with the hugely popular Television show Balika Vadhu, surprised fans on Wednesday when she announced that she is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Milind Chandwani. Just a day after the announcement, Avika and Milind were seen on the sets of Pati Patni Aur Panga together. In a video that was shared by a paparazzi account on Instagram, Avika was seen getting out of her vanity van on the set of Pati Patni Aur Panga. Milind got out of the van first, almost tripping on the stairs, but thankfully, he saved himself from a bad fall. Avika walked down just behind in a bright red dress. Both Avika and Milind then stood next to each other and smiled for the paparazzi.

On Wednesday, Avika announced her engagement with a pair of pictures where the two of them were seen smiling. Avika wrote in the caption, 'He asked.. I smiled, I cried (in that order 🙈)... and screamed the easiest YES of my life! I'm full filmy — background score, slow-mo dreams, mascara running and all. 'To be honest, after Laal Singh Chaddha, I was quite depressed, heartbroken, and emotionally battered because I hadn't had an unsuccessful film in very long. It was quite shocking for me because I'd also liked the film. So I was very surprised that people didn't like it," he said. The 60-year-old actor went on to reveal the reason behind saying yes to the film. He stated, 'I told Prasanna and writer Divyanidhi Sharma we'd discuss the script for a week before the prep once we lock everything. In the first half hour of the first day, as Divya was reading the script, I was telling myself, 'Tell me, why are you not doing this film again? It's a superb script yaar.' So I thought ye toh gadbad ho gayi yaar. And some time had also passed, so I'd recovered from Laal Singh Chaddha being a flop." Speaking with Instant Bollywood, Rahul mentioned that reality shows were unscripted during his time on Indian Idol, 20 years ago. Specifically discussing singing reality shows, he said that these shows have now become 'scripted' and formulaic. 'Har reality show ka ek pattern hai… ek love angle hoga, kisi ki mummy kisi ke ghar pe kaam karti hogi, kisi ke papa auto chalate hoge, (Every show has a set pattern… there will be a love angle, someone's mother will be shown working at someone's house, and someone's father will be an auto-rickshaw driver)," he said. The singer further added that even if these stories aren't true, the contestants are asked to say them. However, this wasn't the case during his time. 'Pehle aisa nahi hota tha. Pehle agar mujhe pata hota ki 'main gareeb hoon' bolne se vote milenge, toh hum toh fir bata dete. (It wasn't like this before. If I had known back then that saying 'I'm poor' would get me votes, I would have shared my sad story). But back then, it was real. I can't say that about today's singing reality shows," said Rahul. Rahul Vaidya was one of the contestants on Indian Idol Season 1, and he finished as the second runner-up on the show. Abhijeet Sawant emerged as the winner. Rahul is known for his tracks like 'Chaap Tilak,' 'Madhanya,' 'Baaton Ko Teri,' and 'Meri Zindagi,' to name a few, and became a popular household name with his stint on the reality show Bigg Boss 14 where he was crowned as the 1st runner-up.
