Lionel Messi's bodyguard fires back at Logan Paul after YouTuber-turned-WWE star challenged him to a bare knuckle street fight in Puerto Rico

Daily Mail11-05-2025
Lionel Messi 's bodyguard has doubled down on his desire to batter Logan Paul in the boxing ring.
Yassine Cheuko, a trained MMA fighter, has warned Paul - who he calls 'Lolo, the king of excuses' - that he will knock him out and urged him to 'sign the contract'.
Paul initially challenged Messi to a fight amid the legal battle between their drinks brands Prime and Mas+.
Cheuko, a rumoured former Navy SEAL, offered to take Messi's place, but Paul reportedly turned down a £11.3million ($15m) boxing match and instead challenged him to a bare knuckle fight in the streets of Puerto Rico.
Clearly the bodyguard, who was personally hired by Inter Miami owner David Beckham to look after Messi, is unimpressed. He posted a video on Instagram of himself training topless and called out Paul directly.
'Listen Lolo, you're so cute with your blonde hair,' he said. 'Why are you getting nervous? Stop the drama Lolo.

'So now you find another excuse. Last time you said you're a WWE superstar, and now you told me, come to Puerto Rico to fight in the streets without gloves or a mouth guard.
'Lolo! Stop your drama, Lolo. You already know we cannot do that. You are not a gangster, Lola, and I am not a kid. We are not gonna fight on the street.
'So now, sign the contract, Lolo. Stop excuses. What is [your] next excuse? You gonna tell me you're an astronaut, let's fight to the moon?
'Lolo! Stop excuses, sign the contract. But I promise, I'm not gonna knock you out in the first round. Take it easy, Lolo.'
All this kicked off due to the legal wrangle between Paul and KSI's drinks brand Prime and Mas+, a 'positive hydration' alternative.
Messi revealed his hydration drink in June 2024, with many quick to point out the similarities between it and Prime.
According to a lawsuit filed by Mark Anthony International, the distributor for Mas+, in October, Prime instantly reached out with claims that Messi's drink had violated its trade dress by copying the design.
Mas+ filed a lawsuit against Prime in a bid to get a declaratory judgement to confirm Messi's drink was not copying KSI and Logan Paul's.
He instead invited the bodyguard to a bare knuckle fight in the streets of Puerto Rico
But in November, Prime filed a countersuit against Mas+, claiming the footballer's new drink infringes Prime's trademark due to its design and tagline similarities.
Speaking at the time, Paul said: 'Brother, you copied us. Everyone saw it. They saw what you did. Everyone notices it and then we got sued. Hold on, wait, what? This ain't justice.
'So we countersued, obviously. If you can't beat the best, you gotta be the best. But that's illegal. That's trademark infringement.
'We're holding him accountable, and it's harassment? All jokes aside, I will consider dropping this if Logan Paul vs Messi [gets made in] 2025. I'll see you in the ring, brother.'
However, to the dismay of the internet personality, Messi's bodyguard Yassine Chueko - who is a rumoured former Navy SEAL - has offered to take the fight instead.
According to The Sun, he said: 'Messi doesn't even know who this guy is. If Logan really wants a fight, he can fight me, not a football player.'
Cheuko has received much attention from the media over the last 18 months for his ability to stop intruders who try to approach Messi on the Inter Miami turf.
However, despite snuffing out as many as 16 pitch invasions, he claimed last month that he has been banned by the MLS.
Mas+ and Prime Hydration are involved in a legal battle over the similarities between the drinks
Speaking to House of Highlights, he said: 'They don't allow me to be on the field anymore. I was in Europe for seven years working for Ligue 1 and the Champions League, and only six people invaded the pitch.
'I arrived in the United States, and in 20 months of work, 16 people have already invaded the pitch. There's a huge problem here. I'm not the problem. Let me help Messi.
'I love MLS and CONCACAF, but we have to work together. I love helping. I'm not better than anyone, but I have a wealth of experience in Europe. It's fine, I understand their decision, but I think we could do better'.

NFL's most valuable teams are announced... and it's not a good look for Cowboys owner Jerry Jones

Cowboys fans upset at owner Jerry Jones' refusal to pay All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons should avoid Sportico's annual NFL team valuations, where Dallas ranks first overall for the sixth consecutive season. Valued at a whopping $12.8 billion, the Cowboys have been locked in a contract dispute with Parsons, who has demanded a trade while sitting out at Dallas training camp in Oxnard, California due to a back injury. Not only are the Cowboys believed to be the most valuable franchise in all of sports, but the team also has about $34 million in cap space to offer Parsons an extension. Instead, Jones has allowed the issue to boil over into a major distraction at camp. The contract dispute comes at a time when the Cowboys' NFC East rivals are all improving. Not only are the Philadelphia Eagles the reigning Super Bowl champions, but the Washington Commanders are coming off a resurgent 12-5 season that ended with an NFC championship berth. The New York Giants, meanwhile, added highly rated Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter in the draft and enter the season with two veteran quarterbacks, Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, as well as rookie first-round pick Jaxson Dart. Jones, who recently revealed his own successful battle against stage 4 melanoma, is known to let contract disputes fester through training camp. In 2020, quarterback Dak Prescott played on the franchise tag after failing to reach an agreement on a new deal. Last season, Prescott finally got the contract he was looking for just hours before the Week 1 opener, becoming the highest-paid player in NFL history at an average of $60 million a season. Similarly, receiver CeeDee Lamb held out last season until getting a four-year, $136 million in training camp, and a year prior, it was All-Pro guard Zack Martin who held out of camp before getting a new deal. Most famously, at the height of the Cowboys' success in 1993, future Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith missed the first two weeks of the season due to a contract dispute before eventually agreeing to a $13.6 million deal. The team would go on to win the Super Bowl. The valuation comes four decades after President Donald Trump - then a real estate tycoon - nearly bought the club for just $50 million. The future Commander in Chief told The New York Times in 1984 that he instead bought the fledgling USFL's New Jersey Generals for $10 million, thinking it was a better value. 'I could have bought an NFL team,' Trump told Ira Berkow. 'There were three or four available - that still are available, including, of course, the Dallas Cowboys. 'I could have bought an NFL club for $40 million or $50 million, but it's established and you would just see it move laterally,' he added. 'Not enough to create there.' At the time, Trump expressed his condolences for the unfortunate investor who would ultimately wind up with the Cowboys. 'I feel sorry for the poor guy who is going to buy the Dallas Cowboys,' he said. 'It's a no-win situation for him, because if he wins, well, so what, they've won through the year, and if he loses, which seems likely because they're having troubles, he'll be known to the world as a loser.' The original USFL folded in 1986 following the disastrous move from spring to fall football, at Trump's urging. The rival league ultimately failed to compete with the NFL. Jones, meanwhile, purchased the hapless Cowboys in 1989 for a mere $140 million dollars and immediately began the process of returning the franchise to its glory years of the 1970s. The team won three Super Bowls in the 1990s. The Cowboys were the first team to reach a $10 billion valuation last season. Now, according to Sportico, Dallas is joined by the Los Angeles Rams ($10.4 billion) and the New York Giants ($10.2 billion). The New England Patriots ($8.8b), San Francisco 49ers ($8.6b), Philadelphia Eagles ($8.4b), Miami Dolphins ($8.3b), New York Jets ($8.1b), Las Vegas Raiders ($7.9b) and Washington Commanders ($7.5b) round out the top 10.

Bride who passed out 'singles sheet' at wedding defends divisive tactic after it's branded as 'humiliating'

A bride who gave out a 'singles sheet' at her wedding as an attempt to bring people not in relationships together has defended the divisive tactic - despite some people branding it as 'humiliating.' When Jessica Branda tied the knot on June 30 in Hackensack, New Jersey, she wanted a way for her single friends to mingle and possibly find love with one another. The 27-year-old decided to put pictures of all of her single friends on laminated sheets of paper and give them to the guests. 'I saw the idea on TikTok from someone else and thought it would be a funny light hearted addition to the reception,' Jessica told the Daily Mail. 'I was looking for something unique that would spice up the night and maybe help create a match!' she added. The sheet was titled 'Tonight's Most Eligible,' with 'flirty, fabulous, and potentially your future plus-one,' written underneath; it had a small headshot of each single person at the party with their first name and the first letter of their surname. 'Yes, this is a matchmaking attempt,' she had written at the bottom. 'You're welcome.' Jessica posted her creation to TikTok, where it received a mixed response from viewers, with many slamming her for 'embarrassing' her guests. 'If I went to a wedding and saw myself on one of these, I'd take back my gift,' declared one user. Another agreed, writing: 'I would absolutely hate this as a single person.' 'No sorry this is giving humiliation,' wrote another. 'I'm married but if I was single and a friend did this to me I'd take my gift back and walk out.' Others defended it, with one person writing: 'It's called have a little fun and try something out of the box. Not that serious people lol. 'You don't have to go along with it just ignore them if you want or go for it! You never know… my brother in law got with my cousin at my wedding . They had a good run in their relationship.' Jessica insisted it was a hit with her party guests, sharing, 'I had people coming up to me saying how it was hilarious especially since we included my husband's grandparents.' She said she didn't tell everyone she was making the sheet, as she wanted it to be a surprise. 'I did ask some people who I wasn't sure was single,' she added with a laugh. Jessica posted her creation to TikTok, where it received a mixed response from viewers, with many slamming her for 'embarrassing' her guests 'I know my friends and they're not too sensitive so I knew no one would be upset or feel 'humiliated' as some have commented,' she explained. Jessica added she has since checked with her guests after the video started circulating online, and they reassured her that no one took it the wrong way. The newlywed admitted that she was shocked that people had a negative reaction to her video. 'I think a lot of the people in the comments are taking it too seriously when it's meant to be something silly,' Jessica shared. 'After reviewing everything, I understand some people may be sensitive to being on a list like that if they're not super secure in themselves and where they are in life,' she continued. She added that she felt it was a better approach as opposed to having a singles table, which other couples have done, as she admitted she finds them 'super awkward.' 'I guess it's embarrassing if you're embarrassed about being single? Which I think people shouldn't be but everyone's entitled to their own opinion,' she quipped. While no one ended up dating from her crafty plan, Jessica said she was happy she did it. 'I wanted everyone to sit next to those they knew and I think singles tables are super awkward, I think those saying 'it's humiliation' are taking it too far,' she declared.
