This Morning star's heartbreaking family admission during on-air chat
This Morning star's heartbreaking family admission during on-air chat This Morning star Craig Doyle, who is hosting the ITV show this week, shared some sad news at the beginning of Monday's show (August 18). Craig Doyle, who is presenting This Morning alongside Sian Welby this week until Wednesday, delivered some devastating news at the start of Monday's programme (August 18). During the ITV show, which witnessed one celebrity in tears last week, Craig and Sian were discussing the day's top stories with Ashley James and Gyles Brandreth. Among the topics they were covering was the potential use of weight-loss medication for overweight dogs to tackle the problem. Nevertheless, whilst chatting, Craig revealed some heartbreaking news regarding his own pet. Gyles admitted his cat wasn't faring well as he remarked: "My wife sings it to sleep every night, Nala is not very well, sadly." Speaking directly to Craig, Gyles continued: "She may be on her last legs and I know, you've had a sadness this weekend." Article continues below Craig issued a message to his mum live on air last week as she was in hospital (Image: ITV) Craig responded: "Yes, yeah, I'll be able to talk about it in about three weeks. I'm still- Rigby, our little dote, he passed away on Friday, just when we finished the show." It appears Craig is experiencing a difficult period at present as he paused to send a message to his mother at the beginning of Thursday's programme, reports the Mirror. Co-presenting with Emma Willis at the time, he stated: "My mum is hospital - and one of my best buddies, Johnny Rogan is in hospital. And won't you believe it, because Ireland is a village, they're in the rooms beside each other by pure coincidence. Craig Doyle shared a tragic death that unfolded last week (Image: ITV) "They said they're going to watch together this morning. So mom. Johnny hiya," Craig said before telling his mum to 'put her teeth in'. Craig also revealed that his mum had been in hospital back in May, as he spoke to her on-air once more, checking if she had turned the volume up to hear him properly. The 54-year-old is presenting the ITV programme over the coming days whilst regular hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard take their summer holidays. This Morning viewers were thrilled with the presenting duo on show (Image: ITV) This Morning fans were delighted to see Sian and Craig presenting together as they rushed to social media to express their views. One viewer commented: "I really like this pairing of Craig and Sian - shame Craig's said on a number of occasions that he doesn't want the full-time hosting gig." Another posted: "Fantastic, a presenting duo who are professional and easy to watch." Article continues below Meanwhile, someone else added: "Yes Craig and sian." This Morning is available to watch on ITVX.
