Tate, 38, was last in action on Dec. 2, 2023 at UFC on ESPN 52, where she dominated and ultimately submitted Julia Avila in the third round. The victory ended a two-fight skid for "Cupcake," who has gone 2-2 since returning from retirement in 2021. Her return run includes a loss in one stop at flyweight, but Tate immediately returned to the division where she once became champion.
Santos, 35, will also after a skid-snapping victory in her last outing. At UFC on ESPN 61 on Aug. 10, 2024, she picked up a much needed unanimous decision win over Chelsea Chandler. Santos herself called the result "career saving" as it ended a three-fight skid stretching back to 2021, while also bringing her overall UFC record back to .500.
With the addition, the current UFC Fight Night event on May 3 includes:
Yana Santos vs. Miesha Tate
Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Daniel Rodriguez

ATLANTA – Raoni Barcelos met the media Wednesday ahead of his fight at UFC on ESPN 69. Barcelos (19-5 MMA, 8-4 UFC) takes on Cody Garbrandt (14-6 MMA, 9-6 UFC) in a bantamweight fight on the ESPN main card at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. At media day, Barcelos took questions from media members before his fight. Barcelos said the massive upset he pulled off in January – one of the biggest in UFC history against 12-1 favorite Payton Talbott at UFC 311 – gave him extra confidence to know he's heading in the right direction after a stretch of four losses in five fights. The fight with Garbrandt it one he said he's been asking to have for a while. "I asked for the fight a long time ago – when the hype was all on me," the 38-year-old Barcelos told MMA Junkie. "Cody was on his way to become a champion, and the fight never happened. It's all timing. Right now, I feel so much better (than when I first called him out). I'm much more complete of a fighter. "… The fight's happening at the right time. Cody's going to be a good fight for me, but this is the perfect time for me to fight him." His relationship with pop music princess Taylor Swift continues to capture the hearts of the many while the build-up to his farewell tour increases by the day. Kelce will retire from the NFL after this season. He, Patrick Mahomes and the rest of Chiefs Kingdom hope to pull out one more run to the Super Bowl. When that time ultimately comes for him to move on from the game, don't expect the Kelce family to go away from the public eye. Travis and his brother, Jason, co-host the "New Heights" podcast which has been quite successful. Even the family's matriarch Donna Kelce has found her way into the spotlight. In fact, she had a major announcement this week that will be sure to provide more Kelce content. Both Donna and Jason will participate in season four of the reality TV series "The Traitors." She made her announcement official with a post on Instagram captioned, "Sundays were just the beginning. I raised the two playmakers, but now it's mamas turn." The show will begin streaming on Peacock and has begun filming in Scotland. Donna and Jason will be joined by a number of reality TV stars from other programs along with a group of celebrities including Michael Rapoport and Tara Lipinksi. "The Traitors" splits contestants up into two categories of "Faithfuls" and "Traitors." The cast must decipher which among them are the "Traitors," picking a player each night to "murder." Scotland 'door not closed' on players who miss out on World Cup

Scotland head coach Bryan Easson says he will not close the door on international rugby for those players who miss out on his squad for the Women's Rugby World Cup. Easson has named a 38-player training squad prior to the tournament in England this summer. Advertisement Among those to miss out was experienced lock Louise McMillan, who said in an Instagram post: "There was a slow dawning that despite injuries in my position, I wouldn't be recalled, confirming the painful truth that my journey with this coaching team was nearing its end. My World Cup dream, my professional contract, slipped from my grasp." Easson says there will always be tough decisions on who to leave out of the World Cup squad, but that it need not signal an end of Test careers. "These selections are very, very difficult," Easson told BBC Scotland. "But to leave out players now actually shows the strength of Scotland women's rugby. So some players who do have a legacy, some players who do have given a lot to Scotland women's rugby over the years, will miss out and it's always tough. Advertisement "But the door's never closed for those players. It's just a moment in time, it's a selection that we have to make, it's a selection that we believe at this moment in time is right. "No matter who they are, if they're playing well, they'll be the ones that are selected and that's how we have to push this team forward and that's how you get better performances on the field."
