ZAMDELA – Zamdela detectives are looking for the next of kin of an unknown man found dead on the R82.
It is alleged that the deceased was found by a passer-by, approximately 12 kilometres from the Amelia section four-way stop towards Vereeniging.
The individual was wearing a grey tracksuit top and a grey Jean trouser.
Anyone who can assist the police is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Oupa Jhekemba on 078 576 230.

Sakhile police grab two women for mob killing
Two women are appearing in the Standerton Magistrate's Court today in connection with murder and attempted murder. According to Lieutenant-Colonel Jabu Ndubane, Mpumalanga police spokesperson, the duo cornered the a man and woman in Sakhile, accusing them stealing R1 000 at a recent party they attended. The two women forced the victim to one of the assailant's home where they were then assaulted with an electric cable cord, a shovel, and a knife. Ndubane said when the attackers realised the woman was unconscious, they took her to a nearby clinic where she was declared dead. The deceased had fatal stab wounds on her back and several bruises on her body. According to the Ndubane, her injuries were so severe that her head was swollen. The man is currently in the hospital. Although stable for now, his condition remains critical. Elderly man stabbed and robbed in Marloth Park
A 68-year-old man, who relies on a portable life-support machine due to a lung condition, was stabbed during a house robbery at Marloth Park in Komatipoort on Saturday, June 7. The criminals made off with more than R300 000 worth of property. According to the Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, the elderly man was at home with his wife (64) at about 20:00 when he heard a knock outside. As he walked around inside the house to investigate, three unknown men entered the house through the bedroom door, which they had forced to open. 'One suspect was armed with a gun, another with a knife and the third appeared unarmed. The old man was stabbed during the incident and pushed onto the bed by one suspect, while another suspect held his wife at gunpoint and demanding money,' said Ndubane. Ndubane said the suspects fled the scene with R180 000 in cash , $10 000 (about R177 000), a firearm and two airguns. The estimated total value of the stolen property is approximately R357 000.
