Camille Prats, Katrina Halili share how losing a loved one affected their perspective on life
Camille Prats and Katrina Halili opened up about how the experience of losing a loved one changed their approach in everyday life.
On Tuesday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Kapuso stars placed deeper emphasis on meaningful relationships and living in the present.
"Ngayon, parang mas, ako, for me, I would rather have meaningful connections rather than 'yung mga mabababaw lang," Camille said.
She also emphasized that this shift extends even to her professional interactions.
"Whenever I talked to anyone or nagkakaroon ako ng chance na magkaroon ng malalim na usapan with someone, parang I would want to connect with that person in a deeper way rather than just small talks na balewala lang," she said.
Similarly, Katrina underscored the unpredictability of life.
"Hindi natin alam kung ano 'yung puwedeng mangyari, kausap mo lang tapos mamaya hindi na, 'di ba? So parang ako, enjoy mo na lang 'yung every—kung sino 'yung gusto mong makasama, 'di ba?" she said.
"Enjoy mo 'yung mga moment na—kunwari, 'yung family mo, 'yung anak mo, 'yung trabaho mo, enjoy mo lahat. Kasi hindi natin alam."
Both Camille and Katrina experienced losing their partners.
Camille's first husband, Anthony Linsangan, died in 2011 due to nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
In 2017, Camille got married again to VJ Yambao.
Meanwhile, Katrina's boyfriend, Jeremy Guiab, passed away in January 2024.
Camille and Katrina currently star with Shayne Sava in "Mommy Dearest," which just got extended. It airs weekdays at 3:20 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime. —Carby Rose Basina/MGP, GMA Integrated News

Vince Maristela opens up on ‘confrontation' with Josh Ford in ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition'
Vince Maristela has opened up about the 'confrontation' he had with fellow ex-housemate Josh Ford in 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.' In an interview with GMA News Online in Thursday, Vince shared that he had seen Josh's recent interview, in which Josh addressed the issue that had occurred inside the house. The Sparkle star said he was glad to hear that Josh is open to having a conversation and resolving their issues. 'Masaya ako na parang gusto niya din makipagkwentuhan sa akin. Naghihintay lang din talaga ako ng time at opportunity na makapag-catch up kami,' Vince said. According to the actor, Josh is such a nice, understanding, and genuine person whom he wants to bond with again. 'Ako, gustong-gusto ko din talaga siya makasama ulit. Kasi, noong time din na yun, akala ko na noong paglabas ko na walang mali. Napakagaan lang talaga ng feeling ko towards him,' he said. ''Yun talaga yung nakakamdaman ko sa kaniya. Kaya siguro excited na akong makasama ulit siya,' he added. In a past interview with Boy Abunda, Josh said that he hopes to talk to Vince once the latter returns to the outside world. '[I'm] looking forward to it naman po. Siyempre ayaw ko naman magkaroon ng mga problema or like any issues between other people. Siyempre gusto ko rin pong ayusin and sana this time mas maramdaman ko na po 'yung, you know, being genuine with me," he said. In April, Vince called Josh out in front of the other housemates after the latter repeated Michael Sager's joke that they should place the sopas in Vince's water jug. Vince likened the joke to bullying, but Josh defended himself, saying he was not a bully and that he had felt that he and Vince were already close. Vince was the latest housemate to exit Bahay ni Kuya. He received the lowest percentage of save votes among the Kapuso housemates, garnering only 9.26% during the show's first-ever individual eviction." He was evicted alongside Kapamilya star Xyriel Manabat. 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition' airs new episodes on GMA Network on weekdays at 10 p.m. and weekends at 6:15 p.m. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
