In a continuing effort to combat illegal migration, Yemeni security forces intercepted a smuggling vessel carrying 150 undocumented African migrants off the coast of Shabwa Governorate on wednesday, July 15, 2025.
The boat, named Al-Safa, was operated by a crew of three Somali nationals and was transporting 120 Ethiopian men and 30 Ethiopian women from the Horn of Africa.
Authorities confirmed that the migrants had entered Yemeni waters illegally and were en route to Gulf countries, using Yemen as a transit point.

The government has reiterated its commitment to securing borders and addressing the root causes of human trafficking.
Security officials emphasized the need for international cooperation to manage migration flows and support vulnerable populations affected by these perilous journeys.

Al-Quds Brigades destroy Zionist military vehicle south of Khan Younis

Gaza – Saba: Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine, announced on Tuesday that they had destroyed a Zionist military vehicle south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Brigades said: "We destroyed a Zionist military vehicle by detonating a (Barq – shock) explosive device near the 'Ibad al-Rahman Mosque' in the Ma'an area, south of Khan Younis." This comes as part of the Palestinian resistance factions' response to the genocide crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against the people of the Gaza Strip, with American support, since October 7, 2023—including killings, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement—while ignoring international appeals and the International Court of Justice's orders to halt these actions. Field Commander in Al-Quds Brigades reveals details of complex operation targeting Zionist armored vehicle in Absan

Gaza – Saba: A field commander in Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, operating in the Khan Younis Brigade, disclosed details on Wednesday of a complex and high-quality operation targeting a Zionist armored personnel carrier (APC) in the Absan al-Kabira area east of Khan Younis on Tuesday. The operation aimed to capture several soldiers. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the commander explained that the operation began with the detonation of pre-planted explosive devices of the "Barq al-Sadmiya" (Shock Lightning) type, which had been carefully placed along the vehicle's route following precise surveillance and days of preparation. The explosion completely destroyed the APC, setting it ablaze. He added that immediately after the blast, their fighters rushed toward the armored vehicle, engaging its crew at point-blank range and managing to drag one soldier out in an attempt to capture him. However, during the operation, nearby military vehicles intervened, shelling the scene with artillery and heavy machine gun fire, hindering the completion of the capture. This resulted in the death of the targeted soldier and the martyrdom of a group of their heroic fighters, who had carried out the mission with utmost bravery. The commander emphasized that this was not the first operation of its kind, as numerous attempts had been made in other conflict zones. He expressed high confidence in their fighters, stating, "We trust our mujahideen, and God willing, they will achieve success." Since October 7, 2023, Palestinian resistance factions have continued their heroic operations against the Zionist enemy as part of the ongoing "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
