How Automotive Dealerships Can Successfully Leverage Instagram Reels in 2025

In the ever-evolving landscape of automotive marketing, dealerships must constantly adapt their strategies to align with shifting consumer preferences. By 2025, short-form video content, particularly Instagram Reels, has emerged as one of the most influential platforms for reaching car buyers. Instagram Reels provides dealerships with a powerful, engaging tool to showcase vehicles, boost brand awareness, and drive customer interactions.
This comprehensive guide explains why Instagram Reels is essential for automotive dealerships, outlines strategic approaches to creating impactful Reels, and provides actionable insights for dealerships to leverage this dynamic platform effectively.
Instagram has become a dominant platform for automotive consumers, with over 2 billion active monthly users. Reels, Instagram's short-form video feature, captures users' attention quickly and effectively, offering dealerships powerful opportunities to: Increase Visibility and Reach: Instagram's algorithm heavily promotes Reels, significantly expanding dealership exposure.

To fully leverage the power of Instagram Reels, dealerships should focus on creating engaging, audience-focused content. Consider these strategic approaches:
Showcase key vehicle features or technology in visually captivating ways, quickly demonstrating vehicle value to potential buyers.
Example: A Reel highlighting advanced safety features, interactive infotainment systems, or innovative self-parking technologies.
Short, immersive test-drive clips provide a taste of the vehicle experience, sparking consumer curiosity and excitement.
Example: A 30-second Reel featuring dynamic driving sequences, showcasing smooth handling or off-road capabilities.
Provide viewers with behind-the-scenes glimpses into dealership operations, inventory preparations, or customer service processes to humanise your dealership and build deeper connections.
Example: Quick Reels showing friendly dealership staff preparing cars for delivery, vehicle inspections, or detailing processes.
Short, enthusiastic customer clips sharing their experiences or reactions to vehicle purchases deliver powerful social proof.
Example: Customers excitedly discussing their favourite vehicle features or expressing satisfaction immediately after a purchase.
Participating in trending challenges or creatively adapting popular Reels trends engages wider audiences and boosts virality.
Example: Joining trending hashtags or challenges with creative dealership twists, such as a humorous 'new car dance' challenge or an entertaining 'day in the life' Reel featuring sales staff.
To ensure your dealership's Reels achieve maximum impact, adopt these best practices:
The ideal length for Instagram Reels is typically between 15 and 60 seconds. Capture viewer attention immediately and clearly communicate your key message in the first few seconds.
Use high-quality visuals, clear audio, and engaging content ideas to create visually appealing Reels. Creativity, humour, and authenticity resonate particularly well with Instagram audiences.
Leveraging trending audio clips, popular hashtags, and challenges enhances discoverability, significantly broadening your dealership's audience reach.
Always prompt viewers to take specific actions, such as visiting your website, booking test drives, or contacting your dealership.
Maintain consistent branding across your Reels—visually and tonally—to reinforce dealership recognition and build a cohesive online presence.
To maximise results, Instagram Reels should seamlessly integrate with broader dealership marketing efforts: Cross-Platform Promotion: Share your Reels on dealership websites, emails, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts to amplify exposure.

Millionaire's wild advice to new entrepreneurs: ‘Quit your job'

As a teenager, Simon Squibb lost everything. He was homeless, grieving and isolated. His world was in ruins following the sudden death of his dad. 'I was 15 when my dad died of a heart attack in front of me. Eight minutes after saying he didn't feel well, he was gone,' Squibb recalled. What followed was eight weeks of homelessness where he was left sleeping in phone boxes, stairwells and on park benches in London. But it was in that dark period that the entrepreneurial 'muscle' in his brain kicked in. 'I walked past a big house one day, the garden was messy, and my brain said: 'maybe they'll pay you to clean it.' I'd never thought like that before,' he said. 'I didn't want to knock on the door, I was terrified, but I did. And they said yes.' That moment didn't just earn him his first dollar. It planted a seed that would shape the rest of his life. 5 As a teenager, Simon Squibb was left homeless, grieving, and alone after his father's sudden death shattered his world. @SimonSquibb/Instagram 'I realized I didn't need someone to give me a fish. I could build my own pond.' Now a multi-millionaire entrepreneur with a string of flashy accolades to his name, Squibb spends his days encouraging others to do the same, to 'build their own pond,' whatever that may look like. He has built 19 companies in his lifetime, including creative agency Fluid, which he sold to PwC in a rumored six-figure deal. He's invested in more than 80 start-ups, authored a best-selling book called 'What's Your Dream?' and recently launched an app of the same name where users can get free advice from an AI version of him. But ask him what drives him now, and it's not money. 5 Squibb is now a multi-millionaire entrepreneur with countless accolades to his name. @simonsquibb/Instagram 'I plan to give it all away before I die,' he said. 'I don't want to leave behind wealth. I want to leave behind people who believe in themselves.' Later this year, he's bringing that message to Australia as part of his 'What's Your Dream?' tour, which he hopes will ignite something in those feeling stuck. 'We've been sold a lie,' he argued. 'The university, the job, the retirement plan … it's all part of a packaged narrative that keeps you trapped.' 'People end up following a life path they didn't even choose. They just went along with what they were told was 'safe' or 'smart.'' 5 Squibb has built 19 companies in his lifetime, including creative agency Fluid, which he sold to PwC in a rumored six-figure deal. @SimonSquibb/Instagram It's a sobering statement given the current economic climate, where even highly skilled Aussies and educated university graduates are battling to get ahead financially. 'University teaches us to conform. They sell us a degree, a job, a life plan. But universities are a business. Of course they'll market themselves as the path to happiness, that's how they survive,' he said. Which is exactly why, according to Squibb, young people should feel empowered to walk away from unfulfilling jobs. 'Quit your job? Maybe. But do it with purpose,' he said. 'If they're in jobs that don't align with their values or dreams, absolutely.' 5 Squibb said that anyone 'with a phone in their hand can build a new life.' @simonsquibb/Instagram 'But I'm not romanticizing it. It's not easy. You'll face rejection, failure. That's the point. You grow through the challenge.' He added that anyone 'with a phone in their hand can build a new life.' It might not happen overnight, and it might not look like what their parents envisioned, but it's possible. 'We live in a time where opportunity is more accessible than ever. You can start a business on your phone. You can find an audience online. You can monetize your skills without needing permission,' he said. He's not suggesting everyone throws in the towel immediately, but he is calling for a mindset shift. A move away from doing what's expected, and toward doing what feels meaningful. 5 'The purpose of life is not to retire with a pile of money. It's to wake up excited about what you get to do that day,' Squibb added. Andrii Iemelianenko – 'Being rich isn't a dream, it's the by-product of one,' he said. 'Your purpose is usually buried under pain you've lived through. People wait until they're in crisis before they change direction. I want to get to them earlier, before the burnout and breakdown.' For many in their twenties and thirties, his message is sobering. Skyrocketing living costs, stagnant wages, and a spiraling housing market have forced younger generations to question what exactly they're working towards. 'The purpose of life is not to retire with a pile of money. It's to wake up excited about what you get to do that day,' he said. 'If you don't have that, it's time to start dreaming again.' Squibb said clarity often came from action. 'Take a small step. Knock on a door. Try something that scares you. That's where confidence comes from, not from reading books or watching TED Talks, but from doing,' he said. And if there's one message he hoped people would walk away with from his tour, it's that, you don't have to wait for permission to change your life. 'You don't need to be the smartest, the richest, or the best connected,' he said. 'You just need to be brave enough to begin.'

Advertising on the Internet in E-Commerce: A Guide to Effective Strategies

The digital landscape has revolutionized how businesses operate, particularly in e-commerce. One of the most powerful tools at your disposal is advertising on the internet in e-commerce. This form of advertising has evolved over the years, offering a variety of methods to increase visibility, drive traffic, and convert sales. If you're looking to expand your online presence and grow your e-commerce business, understanding the nuances of online advertising is crucial. In this article, we will explore the different types of internet advertising, their effectiveness, and how you can make the most of them to boost your e-commerce business. Advertising on the internet in e-commerce has become a necessity for businesses wanting to stay competitive in the market. Unlike traditional advertising methods, online advertising offers the benefit of reaching a global audience at a fraction of the cost. Moreover, it provides targeted advertising that ensures your message reaches the right customers at the right time. From search engine optimization (SEO) to social media ads, there are countless ways to advertise your e-commerce business online. But how do you know which one is right for you? Understanding the importance of online advertising is the first step. When done correctly, it can significantly increase your e-commerce sales, improve brand visibility, and drive customer engagement. The key to success lies in selecting the right platforms and strategies that align with your business goals. There are various forms of advertising on the internet in e commerce, each with its own benefits. Let's take a look at some of the most popular methods. Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is one of the most effective ways to advertise on the internet in e-commerce. It involves paying for ad placements on search engines like Google and Bing. These ads appear when a user types in a relevant search query, making SEM a powerful tool for capturing the attention of potential customers who are actively looking for products or services similar to yours. Pay-per-click (PPC) is the most common model used in SEM, where businesses pay a fee each time their ad is clicked. Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter offer robust advertising options for e-commerce businesses. Social media ads can be highly targeted based on user demographics, interests, and online behavior. This makes social media a highly effective channel for reaching potential customers who are likely to be interested in your products. Moreover, with platforms like Instagram offering shoppable posts, it has never been easier to turn a social media follower into a paying customer. Display advertising involves placing visual banners on various websites across the internet. These ads can be static or dynamic and are designed to capture the attention of users as they browse different web pages. Display ads are particularly effective for building brand awareness and retargeting potential customers who have previously visited your site but didn't make a purchase. Retargeting ads can remind these visitors of the products they viewed and encourage them to return to your site and complete their purchase. Affiliate marketing is another form of advertising on the internet in e-commerce. It involves partnering with individuals or organizations (affiliates) who promote your products in exchange for a commission on sales. Affiliates often use their own websites, blogs, or social media channels to promote products, making it a cost-effective way to reach a wider audience. This form of advertising can be particularly effective for niche products and markets, as affiliates often have a strong following within specific industries or interest groups. When selecting the right advertising strategy for your e-commerce business, it is essential to consider your goals, budget, and target audience. If you're looking for immediate traffic and sales, search engine marketing and paid social media ads can provide quick results. On the other hand, if you're looking to build brand awareness and long-term customer relationships, display ads and affiliate marketing may be more suitable. Additionally, it's crucial to test different strategies and monitor their performance. Advertising on the internet in e-commerce is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Experiment with different platforms, ad formats, and messaging to determine what works best for your business. Analytics tools can help you track the performance of your campaigns and optimize them for better results. To get the most out of your advertising efforts, continuous optimization is key. Start by setting clear goals for each campaign, such as increasing traffic, improving conversion rates, or growing your email list. Use A/B testing to compare different versions of your ads and determine which one performs better. Monitor your campaigns regularly and make adjustments based on the data you collect. For example, if you find that your PPC ads are generating clicks but not conversions, consider tweaking your landing pages or adjusting your targeting parameters. Similarly, if your social media ads are not reaching your desired audience, you may need to refine your targeting settings or try different ad formats. When it comes to internet advertising in e-commerce, managing your advertising budget effectively is crucial. It's easy to overspend on ads if you're not careful, so allocate your budget according to the platforms and campaigns that generate the most return on investment (ROI). Prioritize channels that give you the best results, and don't be afraid to cut back on less effective strategies. The beauty of advertising on the internet in e-commerce is the ability to track every aspect of your campaign. Use analytics tools to monitor key metrics such as click-through rates, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs. This data can provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of your campaigns and help you make informed decisions moving forward. 1. What is the most effective form of advertising on the internet for e-commerce? The most effective form of internet advertising varies depending on your business goals and target audience. Search engine marketing (SEM) is great for immediate results, while social media advertising and affiliate marketing are ideal for building long-term relationships with customers. 2. How much should I budget for online advertising? Your advertising budget should be based on your goals, the platforms you are using, and the expected return on investment (ROI). Start small, test different campaigns, and scale up the budget for the most effective strategies. 3. How do I measure the success of my online advertising campaigns? You can measure the success of your campaigns by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI. Use analytics tools to gather data and adjust your campaigns accordingly. 4. Can I advertise on social media without spending a lot of money? Yes, you can create organic content on social media to promote your e-commerce business without spending on ads. However, paid social media ads can amplify your reach and target specific demographics for more effective results. In conclusion, advertising on the internet in e-commerce is a powerful tool for growing your online business. With a variety of strategies available, it's important to choose the ones that best align with your business goals and target audience. Whether you're using search engine marketing, social media ads, display ads, or affiliate marketing, each method offers unique advantages that can help increase your visibility, drive traffic, and boost sales. By continuously optimizing your campaigns and monitoring their performance, you'll be well on your way to achieving success in the competitive world of e-commerce. An updated Siri that interacts with apps reportedly won't be here until next spring

A Siri that does way more than just setting a timer or writing down a reminder may still be nearly a year away. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman , Apple plans to release an overhauled version of Siri in the spring, which will be enhanced by the new App Intents feature. Gurman reported that the upgraded Siri will handle more complex tasks within apps, like commenting on an Instagram post, adding an item to your cart in a shopping app or editing a specific photo and sending it afterwards. After a disappointing delay, Apple is playing catch-up to deliver on previous claims of an improved Siri. According to Gurman, the company is testing App Intents with its own apps, but also third-party apps, including AllTrails, Amazon, Facebook, Threads, Temu, Uber, WhatsApp and YouTube. For apps that handle more sensitive info, like banking apps, Gurman said that Apple may look into certain restrictions or completely avoid these apps for App Intents. Apple gave us the first glimpse of this smarter Siri during WWDC 2024, where Apple Intelligence was the focus of the annual conference. However, the company delayed the release for the updated Siri in March, explaining that "it's going to take us longer than we thought to deliver on these features" and adding that the upgrades be rolled out "in the coming year." Apple even got sued for false advertising after releasing a TV ad featuring Bella Ramsey that showed off Siri's new capabilities that weren't available to the public following the release of the iPhone 16.
