Bride Says She 'Never Prayed for Someone Tall,' Then Married a Man Who's 4' (Exclusive)
Anita Wing Lee and Tim Muttoo got married on June 21 in Canada. Afterward, their wedding photos and love story quickly went viral
Although Tim wasn't what Anita originally "envisioned" in a partner, she realized that "it's the internal — the heart, the soul, the kindness, the way they treat you and others — that truly matters"
"We are glad to see people are realizing that love isn't just about looks or money, it can be about seeing, choosing and knowing someone else's heart," Tim tells PEOPLEA bride and groom have gone viral for their love story.
Anita Wing Lee and Tim Muttoo tied the knot on June 21 at St. Andrew's Church in Canada. The eight wedding posts they've shared on Instagram showcasing their marriage and juxtaposing their respective 5'4" and 4' statures have collectively received more than 100 million views, with some people even speculating they were "AI-generated images."
The newlyweds tell PEOPLE they first shared their love story online "just for our wedding guests," but after seeing how deeply it "made them cry and gave them hope," they were encouraged to share their story "more widely" to teach others that "love is about seeing and choosing someone's heart."
"I have always believed in the power of media and stories to spread light and hope for society. When I find a good story, I want to share it," Anita tells PEOPLE. "Also, as a couple, we want to build something through our marriage that uplifts and inspires others. Sharing our story felt like the natural first step as we start a new chapter together."
Tim adds: "As a humanitarian who's spent years working around the world and connecting with people from all walks of life, I've come to see that love is truly universal. Sharing something so meaningful to us felt natural because I believe that stories like ours can resonate far beyond borders."Despite them both working in East Africa in 2012, the duo wouldn't meet until nine years later in 2021 at a mutual friend's birthday party in Toronto, according to their website. Anita remembered "noticing that Tim's feet dangled off the edge of his chair," but "didn't think much of it at the time," and assumed he had to be "a good person" if he was friends with her friends.
Although the pair bonded over their love for travel and humanitarian work after reconnecting in Ontario later that year, Anita was admittedly hesitant about pursuing a romantic relationship with a man shorter than her.

"I had always envisioned myself looking up into my partner's eyes, but with Tim, that wasn't possible," she wrote online.
Over time, Tim's feelings "grew stronger" for Anita, and he hoped their friendship would "blossom into something more." He "prayed often, asking, 'God, show me what to do.' "
Meanwhile, Anita was praying too. She explained in a July 25 Instagram post that she "trusted that God had someone out there who could hold it all," but she "never prayed for someone tall.""You know how people write out lists of what they're hoping for in a partner? I never actually wrote down 'tall' because I just assumed God would bring me someone tall," Anita shared. "Ideally, someone 5 inches taller than me so I could wear heels and they'd still be taller."
She "never actually added" height to her list because there were other factors that mattered more to her, such as substance, character and faith. As she got to know Tim, she realized that he was everything she was looking for in a partner. "But… he wasn't tall," she noted."And when I asked God about it, He said, 'Well, it wasn't on your list,' " she said.
While in California together for Tim's H2O4all work in 2023, Tim expressed his romantic feelings for Anita. At the time, she didn't feel the same. However, Anita was later inspired to pursue a romantic relationship with Tim.
"Because the external of a person is just that, external," Anita wrote. "It's the internal — the heart, the soul, the kindness, the way they treat you and others — that truly matters."
In November 2023, Anita told Tim that she liked him as more than a friend. On Sept. 30, 2024, the two got engaged.

The couple decided to share their story with the world "to inspire others to live with open hands and open hearts."
"We've also been encouraged from some very heartfelt messages and comments we've received. It's made us realize just how many people might have lost hope in true love, and we're glad that we can help them believe that they are worthy of love — no matter what they look like," Tim tells PEOPLE.He continues: "Overall, we are thrilled to see our story go all around the world. We are glad to see people are realizing that love isn't just about looks or money; it can be about seeing, choosing and knowing someone else's heart. We are happy that we have helped people to initiate conversations about how they view and approach love."
Anita advises single people: "If you're still waiting for your person… they may not look like what you pictured and that might be the best part."

Sean ‘Diddy' Combs is denied release on bond to await sentencing
NEW YORK (AP) — Sean 'Diddy' Combs can't go home from jail to await sentencing on his prostitution-related conviction, a judge said Monday, denying the rap and style mogul's latest bid for bail. Combs has been behind bars since his September arrest. He faced federal charges of coercing girlfriends into having drug-fueled sex marathons with male sex workers while he watched and filmed them. He was acquitted last month of the top charges — racketeering and sex trafficking — while being convicted of two counts of a prostitution-related offense. In denying Combs' $50 million bond proposal, Judge Arun Subramanian said the hip hop impresario had failed to prove that he did not pose a risk of flight or danger, adding that the record did not show an 'exceptional circumstance' that would justify his release after a conviction that otherwise requires detention. Combs' arguments 'might have traction in a case that didn't involve evidence of violence, coercion, or subjugation in connection with the acts of prostitution at issue, but the record here contains evidence of all three,' the judge wrote. Messages seeking comment were sent to prosecutors and one of Combs' lawyers. The conviction carries the potential for up to 10 years in prison. But there are complicated federal guidelines for calculating sentences in any given case, and prosecutors and Combs' lawyers disagree substantially on how the guidelines come out for his case. The guidelines aren't mandatory, and Subramanian will have wide latitude in deciding Combs' punishment. The Bad Boy Records founder, now 55, was for decades a protean figure in pop culture. A Grammy-winning hip hop artist and entrepreneur with a flair for finding and launching big talents, he presided over a business empire that ranged from fashion to reality TV. Prosecutors claimed he used his fame, wealth and violence to force and manipulate two now-ex-girlfriends into days-long, drugged-up sexual performances he called 'freak-offs' or 'hotel nights.' His lawyers argued that the government tried to criminalize consensual, if unconventional, sexual tastes that played out in complicated relationships. The defense acknowledged that Combs had violent outbursts but said nothing he did came amounted to the crimes with which he was charged. Since the verdict, his lawyers have repeatedly renewed their efforts to get him out on bail until his sentencing, set for October. They have argued that the acquittals undercut the rationale for holding him, and they have pointed to other people who were released before sentencing on similar convictions. Defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo suggested in a court filing that Combs was the United States' 'only person in jail for hiring adult male escorts for him and his girlfriend.' The defense's most recent proposal included the $50 million bond, plus travel restrictions, and expressed openness to adding on house arrest at his Miami home, electronic monitoring, private security guards and other requirements. Prosecutors opposed releasing Combs. They wrote that his 'extensive history of violence — and his continued attempt to minimize his recent violent conduct — demonstrates his dangerousness and that he is not amendable to supervision.' ___ Associated Press writer Jake Offenhartz contributed from Los Angeles.

Savannah Chrisley slams 'vile' messages she's received since Trump pardoned her parents
Savannah Chrisley isn't staying quiet about the hate she's received online. The reality TV star took to Instagram to share messages she's been sent on social media after President Donald Trump pardoned her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley. "Imagine saying such vile things to someone…" she wrote on Instagram stories while showing a screenshot of the messages. "disgusting maga pig," a user wrote to Savannah. "not having to work for anything in your life is crazyyyyy." Although Savannah has never mentioned anything about a pregnancy, the user also wrote: "hopefully you miscarry." Todd and Julie were both pardoned by President Donald Trump in May after being convicted on federal charges of bank fraud and tax evasion. They were sentenced to a combined 19 years behind bars. The "Chrisley Knows Best" stars walked out of prison after serving two and a half years. Savannah claimed Trump's pardon "literally came out of nowhere" while speaking to reporters on May 28. "I was in such shock and awe that the president himself took the time to tell me my family is coming back together," she said. In the first trailer for "The Chrisleys: Back to Reality," Todd and Julie's children were seen accusing their "own family members" of betrayal related to the 2022 conviction of the couple on bank fraud and tax evasion charges. "The prosecutor read the letter Lindsie wrote to the FBI. We're no longer family. Lose our last name," Savannah said to the camera. "I mean, your blood will screw you over, then a stranger definitely will," Grayson Chrisley added. Cameras have been filming the Chrisley family for the past three years as the story of their time behind bars unfolded. "Our household is completely divided. I told my parents I don't know if it can ever be repaired," Savannah said in the trailer. "Honestly." "I want people to know what actually went down with my family," Chase Chrisley said. "There's a score to be settled." The family's feud involving Lindsie first began in 2012, with Todd and Julie's daughter completely leaving "Chrisley Knows Best" in 2017. Lindsie has been outspoken about the damage the Chrisley name has brought to her over the years. According to People magazine, Lindsie touched on her ongoing estrangement with the couple on an episode of "Southern Tea" back in March. "The last time I visited my dad probably was... Was it the beginning of last year? I can't even honestly remember," Lindsie admitted. "[Nanny Faye and I] used to go together when they first went [to prison]," she said. "… I have never been to Lexington to visit Julie." "I have not seen my dad in quite some time, and I have had no contact," said Lindsie. "And that's all I'm going to say for that."
