'Quit asking me if I'm okay': Justin Bieber ruthlessly cuts off unnamed friend in angry text exchange; fans slam his ‘toxic' behaviour

Justin Bieber, the pop icon, is once again making headlines and is back with a series of bizarre posts on his social media and that too, on his first Father's Day. On June 15, Sunday, the 'STAY' singer shared a series of cryptic posts on his Instagram, and the most recent one is a couple of screenshots of a confrontational text message exchange with an unidentified friend who accused him of 'lashing out'. The post has raised concerns among fans.
According to the screenshots posted via Instagram on Sunday evening, the pop star wrote, 'I will never suppress my emotions for someone." "Conflict is part of relationship. If you don't like my anger, you don't like me," he added.
The 31-year-old singer welcomed his son, Jack Blues Bieber, with wife Hailey Bieber in August 2024, and he marked the occasion of Father's Day with a series of photos and eyebrow-raising captions. 'I'm a dad that's not to be f--ked with 🖕,' Bieber wrote alongside pictures of himself with a middle finger emoji. Following this post, a pop singer shared the chat screenshot.
Justin Bieber cuts off friendship with an unnamed friend
While in another post about chatting with an unnamed friend, Justin went to mention in the post that his anger is a response to pain that he has been through, and asking a traumatised person not to be traumatised is just mean, the post added.
The controversial text messages continued between the duo, and responding to his friend, the singer said, 'I'm not used to someone lashing out at me. It's not that I don't see and feel your anger.'
While the unnamed friend fired back by saying, 'Ouch' the friendship is officially over now, and he/she will never accept a man calling their anger lashing out.
The Grammy winner also noted that he enjoyed the short-lived relationship, and he wasn't joking when he told the unnamed friend that he didn't need that person as a friend. 'Good friends who will respect [his] boundaries," Bieber said.
'Quit asking me if I'm okay'
In the series of photos, the 'Sorry' singer shared images of himself and wrote, "Made it home from a lil date night getaway," and went on to show off his new purchases that included a diamond-studded watch and a new luxury sports car and captioned the post saying, "Happy daddy day to me u lil ho."
However, the series of posts did not stop there; Justin's last story on his Instagram says, 'Quit asking me if I'm okay,' he wrote on top. 'Quit asking me how I'm doing. I don't do that to you because I know how hard life is for all of us."
'It's hard. Letss [sic] encourage our people not project our insecurities onto one another.'
Redditors react to Justin Bieber's chat screenshots
As soon as the post surfaced on social media, it quickly grabbed the attention of fans on Reddit, and it became a major topic of discussion on the platform.
One said, "He seems like a manipulative, abusive POS. The 'bad stuff happened to me, so I'm allowed to be as horrible to others as I want!!' kind. How awful. Good luck to his wife and child."
While another wrote, "A beautiful example of why you don't rush to have children with someone you just met. And I qualify "just met" as less than 4-5 years."
"Crazy narcissism. Everyone has to treat and accept me as a man baby. Otherwise you're a pussy?"
One wrote, 'Grown ass man, hundred millionaire, known wife abuser, throwing a fit because someone pushed back on his toxic behavior and people out here feeling "sad" for him. We're never making it out the patriarchy.'
"God, this attitude is terrifying to see on someone with a baby. Kids can push your buttons SO MUCH just because it's their nature as they start testing how they interact with the world, and you need to have at least a basic ability to not respond with hostility and aggression."

The proud father of eight, 67, became emotional while opening gifts with his family, as seen in an Instagram video shared by his wife, Hilaria Baldwin. The couple share seven children together, daughters Ilaria Catalina Irena, 2; Maria Lucia Victoria, 4; and Carmen Gabriela, 11, as well as sons Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, 4; Romeo Alejandro David, 6; Leonardo Angel Charles, 8; and Rafael Thomas, reports 'People' magazine. Alec is also dad to daughter Ireland Baldwin , 29, whom he welcomed with ex-wife Kim Basinger . "Happy father's day to this daddy @alecbaldwininsta and to all the other papas out there! Or happy birthday as the baby says", Hilaria captioned the video. "Sending lots of love to all of you! #fathersday". As per 'People', the video began with Ilaria saying, "Happy birthday, daddy", even though his birthday is April 3, as Alec picked up a gift to open. The actor then opened up a box of silverware and joked about having his own silverware set with a smile on his face. As the clip continued, Hilaria walked over with a lit candle for Alec as they jokingly sang "Happy Birthday". Alec let his daughters blow out the candle and playfully mimicked their technique. "Say, happy Father's Day", Hilaria said to their kids from behind the camera. Ilaria, who was sitting on his lap, echoed the sentiment, which caused him to visibly grow emotional and hug her to his chest. In response, their sons celebrated as Maria began singing "Happy Birthday". "Thank you, mother, for my silverware", Alec told Hilaria in the video.
