Grey's Anatomy Sneak Peek: It's Tears for Fears in Your First Look at the Midseason Premiere
First-look photos that ABC dropped ahead of Grey's Anatomy's midseason premiere (Thursday, March 6, at 10/9c) tease exceedingly tense times at Grey Sloan.
Picking up where the action left off in November's 'Drop It Like It's Hot' (recapped here), 'Hit the Floor' wheels into the emergency room both Lucas and an expectant Jo, whose excursion to pick up ice turned out to be much more than a mere field trip. 'The aftermath of the convenience-store shooting brings chaos to [the hospital],' reads the episode's official logline. In other developments, 'Ben hits a wall with his new emergency preparedness plan. Romantic tensions surface for Owen, while Amelia and Winston disagree over the surgical plan for a young patient.'

All of which is anxiety-inducing enough. But the teaser doesn't even mention the fact that Jules is still reeling from Mika's exit, Winston and Amelia have just lost Skye's daughter Jackie, and the last we saw of Owen, he looked like he was about to let paranoia over Teddy and Cass' friendship put him to bed with childhood friend Nora.
Take a look at the images below and make of them what you will. Is Lucas destined to break Simone's heart and follow his Uncle Derek into the afterlife? Will Jo lose her and Link's baby?
If we were Teddy, we'd be wondering where our husband is, too. In the midseason finale, Owen's suspicions about his better half and new doc Cass prompted him to give a clearly besotted Nora a lift.
A preview for 'Hit the Floor' revealed that Blue is concerned about ex-lover Jules following Mika's abrupt departure. But she doesn't want to talk about it and says only that she still has a job to do.
Since Ben is smiling, we're going to go out on a limb and guess that he doesn't yet know that Lucas and Jo were involved in a shootout while making the ice run on which he sent them.
If there's still a reason to pray, does that mean that we can hold onto a sliver of hope that maybe Winston is able to resuscitate Skye's daughter Jackie after all?
If any dynamic duo is going to be able to pull off the kind of miracle that Jackie needs to pull through, much less achieve her hoop dreams, it's these two.
When Amelia and Winston disagree about the way forward, there's only one way to resolve the dispute.
Of course, Blue being asked to weigh in on a dispute between Amelia and Winston is akin to his being instructed to choose a favorite between Mommy and Daddy.
Please don't let Jules be telling Richard that she wants to follow Mika out the door. Now if Millin wants to drag Yasuda back in through the door, well, that's another matter altogether!
Has Jules landed in hot water with Webber? Doing so is, after all, one of the interns' specialties.
With the life of his and Jo's baby hanging in the balance, Link sure looks like he could use somebody to talk to.
Thankfully, Bailey comes along to offer Link some wise words: He needs to get a grip so that if Jo needs to, she can fall apart.
Having lost a child herself, Bailey is painfully aware of what Jo may be going through — and how much she'll need Link to be strong for her.
Though Amelia seems pleased with an outcome, Simone doesn't. Maybe she's having a hard time believing that Amelia was able to keep her nephew alive?

The Blockbuster Film That Finally Gave This 1970s Icon a Chart-Topping Hit
The Blockbuster Film That Finally Gave This 1970s Icon a Chart-Topping Hit originally appeared on Parade. After rising to fame in both television and film, this 1970s icon finally scored a chart-topping hit. This breakout single soared to No. 1 two years after their debut track first made waves in 1976. John Travolta, who rose to fame as Vinny Barbarino on ABC's Welcome Back, Kotter, was on the brink of superstardom by the mid-1970s. His status as a leading man was cemented with a starring role in the feature film Saturday Night Fever. However, Travolta didn't realize the impact Saturday Night Fever would have on his career when he wrapped that film and headed directly into pre-production for Grease. It was Grease that catapulted the New Jersey native into the stratosphere, and the soundtrack gave him his first number one hit on the Billboard charts in 1978. On June 10, 1978, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John hit No. 1 on the U.S. singles chart with 'You're the One That I Want.' The smash duet was one of two songs, along with 'Hopelessly Devoted to You,' written by Australian producer and musician John Farrar specifically for Newton-John's role in the film. The track's success helped turn the movie's soundtrack into a cultural phenomenon. Grease became the highest-grossing musical at the time, and its soundtrack was a massive hit, further boosting Travolta's profile. Grease set the stage for further success in Travolta's career, leading to roles in films like Urban Cowboy and Blow Out. Previously, the actor hit the music charts in 1976 with a remake of the Gary Benson song "Let Her In." It peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard charts in July 1976. ‘I've got God in my life, and I've got a queen in my life' Snoop Dogg honors wife in BET Awards speech
While receiving BET's Ultimate Icon Award, Snoop Dogg expressed his gratitude before reminding fans why he earned icon status on stage. Snoop Dogg has long cemented his status as a hip-hop giant and at the 2025 BET Awards, the network made it official by honoring him with the Ultimate Icon Award, recognizing decades of trailblazing contributions to music, entertainment, activism, and community. Though the night was designed to celebrate his accomplishments, the West Coast legend used the moment to shine a light on someone who's been with him since the beginning: his wife, Shante Broadus. 'See, this is why I'm so rock solid,' he said of his wife of 28 years. 'This is why I'm able to deal with all of the things that I'm able to deal with. I've got God in my life, and I've got a queen in my life.' He went on to praise her unwavering loyalty: 'No matter what, she held me down, she hold me down, she's always been there for me. She's always been my everything. That's why she's on stage tonight. That's why she's in my life,' he continued. 'I want to say to those out there that have somebody special in [their] life, don't be afraid. Put them on the front page, let the world see what you got.' Snoop also took time to recognize his family, shouting out his late mother and brother, his boys, his daughter Cori Broadus, and his ten grandchildren, whom he called his 'greatest inspiration.' One of four recipients of this year's Ultimate Icon honor, alongside Jamie Foxx, Kirk Franklin, and Mariah Carey, Snoop reminded the crowd that icons don't walk alone. Highlighting how each icon has become a part of his family, he also shouted out Charlie Wilson as 'my life coach who kept me at home and showed me how to get my wife back, and, ultimately, get my life back.' In addition to the award, the 'Drop it Like it's Hot' rapper took the stage to perform a medley of some of his discography. From lyrics like ''Me and Dre at the Sofi, that's the only way I sell out,' in his most recent track, 'Unsung Heroes' to his 90s hits like 'Nuthin' but a G'thang' and 'Gin & Juice,' Snoop Dogg reminded everyone exactly who he is in his speech and performance. 'Isn't it ironic how I became iconic off a bag of chronic and some gin and tonic? And the part that makes it all crazy is Death Row is still the label that pays me. Peace and love,' the rapper said, quoting his own lyrics at the end of his acceptance speech. Ultimately, Snoop Dogg shared his utmost gratitude for his fans and their continued support. 'Hip-hop gave me a voice, gave me a purpose, gave me a way out and a way in — into homes, hearts, cultures and countries I never thought I would even touch. Being an icon, it ain't about fame, it's about legacy. It's about what you build, what you leave behind and who you lift up along the way. And this award, it ain't just for me, it's for the homeboys that I lost. For the next generation of artists. For everybody who's still grinding and still believing, so that every young king and queen out there keep pushing. Be original. Be fearless. And above all, be you.'
