The attack - one of the worst in Jammu and Kashmir - occurred around 2.30 pm on Tuesday when a group of terrorists, dressed in fatigues, opened fire on tourists in Pahalgam's Baisaran meadow.The Resistance Front, a local offshoot of the Pakistan-based terror group Laskhar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack in Baisaran, which is also known as 'mini Switzerland' and just five kilometres from Pahalgam.Intelligence sources suspect the involvement of five to six terrorists in Tuesday's attack. The group reportedly included foreign terrorists (FTs), believed to be Pakistanis, who infiltrated the Valley just days before launching the attack on tourists. Sources also said that the attackers had conducted reconnaissance of the area prior to executing the assault.Must Watch
