Mark Ruffalo Slams Joe Rogan Over Response to ICE Immigration Raids: 'It's a Little Late Now'
'Dear @joerogan. It's a little late now to pretend like project 2025 didn't exist and wasn't the play book all along. You are either not that smart or not that dumb. It's hard to tell at this point,' Ruffalo, who campaigned heavily for Democrat Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential campaign, wrote on Threads.

He added Rogan should have known about Trump's immigration policies when he supported his 2024 reelection campaign. Ruffalo was reacting to a July 2 episode of the Joe Rogan Experience where the podcaster hit out at ICE raids on workplaces where undocumented migrant workers were targeted.
'It's insane. We were told there would be no — well, there are two things that are insane. One is the targeting of migrant workers — not cartel members, not gang members, not drug dealers — just construction workers, showing up in construction sites, raiding them. Gardeners. Like, really?' Rogan said during a conversation with Replit CEO Amjad Masad.
During his second administration, Trump has stepped up the arrest of people accused of immigration violations. The ongoing immigration raids have sparked protests, including in Los Angeles, against what critics call unlawful ICE raids.
In response to the L.A. protests, Trump deployed National Guard troops over California Governor Gavin Newsom's opposition, leading to a legal dispute between the president and the state leader. Late last month, an appeals court ruling that Trump could retain control of the National Guard troops he deployed to L.A.

Nebraska Dems hosting Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, possible 2028 presidential candidate
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear speaks during the Semafor World Economy Summit 2025 at Conrad Washington on April 23, 2025 in Washington, DC. () LINCOLN — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear is coming to Nebraska to speak to Democrats for the state party's top annual fundraising event in November. Beshear is a Democratic governor in a deeply red Republican state. He and other 2028 potential presidential hopefuls visited South Carolina in recent weeks, to test the water for their campaign messages. He was picked to lead the Democratic Governors Association into next year's midterm elections and has been touted as 'most popular Democratic governor in America.' Beshear was attorney general of Kentucky before becoming governor in 2019. His father was previously governor. National Democrats have been seeking answers as President Donald Trump made gains among working-class voters, including minority voters, last year. A trend of prominent Democratic figures making their way to the heartland has emerged, and some are crossing the Missouri River from traditionally first-in-the-nation Iowa into Nebraska. Independent U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders launched his 'Fighting Oligarchy' nationwide tour in Omaha. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz hosted a Democratic town hall earlier this year And Former Texas U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke is having a similar town hall in Omaha next month. The events with prominent Democratic figures appear aimed at energizing the Nebraska Democratic base for the midterms and come when two federal races could be competitive. SUBSCRIBE: GET THE MORNING HEADLINES DELIVERED TO YOUR INBOX Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District has drawn national attention as its single presidential race electoral vote has swung from Republicans to Democrats in recent years, most recently to former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024. Nebraska could regain the national spotlight in 2026, with an open seat race in the state's 2nd District for the U.S. House and Dan Osborn's nonpartisan Senate bid against Republican U.S. Sen. Pete Ricketts. Both races could determine which party controls what parts of Congress. But Nebraska Democrats face an uphill battle in a state where Republicans outnumber Democrats about 2 to 1, Republicans have gained a legislative supermajority, and the party last held a congressional seat with former U.S. Rep. Brad Ashford in 2017. SUPPORT: YOU MAKE OUR WORK POSSIBLE

Lionsgate & Universal's Michael Jackson Biopic ‘Michael' Moves To Pre-Summer 2026
Lionsgate and Universal's Michael Jackson biopic Michael is officially moving to Friday, April 24, 2026, and that's a global theatrical release. At the same time, we hear that a second movie about Jackson remains in development. More from Deadline 'Good Fortune' Trailer: Aziz Ansari Comedy With Keanu Reeves & Seth Rogen Headed For TIFF Ryan Fleck & Anna Boden's 'Freaky Tales' Sets HBO Max Premiere Date Lionsgate Marketing Heads JP Richards And Keri Moore Exiting Company We told you at CinemaCon there were distribution plans afoot for this on the Antoine Fuqua directed, Graham King produced feature. Michael will also get a release on Imax screens. The delay with Michael has been twofold, one being length — there was a first cut in excess of three and a half hours. There have also been reports that the initial cut of the movie made references to 13-year old Jordan Chandler, who accused Jackson of molestation, and who the pop singer settled with for $20M in 1994 with no admission of guilt. The Jackson estate explicitly wanted nothing about Chandler in the film, which led to more shoots on the production. Three-time Oscar nominee John Logan penned the screenplay. Jackson's nephew, Jaafar Jackson, plays the King of Pop. Currently, there aren't any major studio wide entries on April 24 next year, hence a great choice for Lionsgate. Michael will open in the wake of New Line/Blumhouse's Lee Cronin's The Mummy and Amazon MGM Studios/Miramax's Liam Neeson starring, Frankie Shaw directed 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank on April 17. Michael will also precede the May 1 release of 20th Century Studios' The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Warner Bros/Legenary's Animal Friends. This is the third time that Michael has moved. The pic's first release date was April 18, 2025 then Oct. 3, 2025. Oscar winner King's previous music biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, won four Oscars and grossed over $910M at the worldwide box office. Kino Films is releasing the movie in Japan while Universal has the rest of the world. The Voice: Which Former Contestants Should Return for Season 29?
Fans of The Voice let out a collective chorus of 'Hmm' when the NBC sing-off revealed the changes being implemented for Season 29's Battle of Champions (which premieres in spring 2026). In particular, eyebrows were raised over the Knockouts round twist in which coaches Adam Levine, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson bring back two former contestants apiece to duke it out in what the show has dubbed an In-Season All-Star Competition to be judged by former coach CeeLo Green. On one hand, it seems unfair to the new contestants who will have made it to the Knockouts. They ran a gauntlet to get that far, only to then have to contend with past favorites. On the other hand, it's an intriguing proposition. Who among us doesn't have singers from past seasons that we'd love to see come back and win the whole shebang? I might not tune in for one coach over another, but you bet I'd make The Voice appointment TV to hear Team Legend's Katie Kadan again! More from TVLine Chicago P.D. Adds The Night Agent's Arienne Mandi as New Series Regular The Voice Season 29 Brings Back Three Veteran Coaches - and Ushers In a Remixed Format NBC Orders Stumble Cheerleading Comedy to Series - Jenn Lyon, Taran Killam Star Below, you'll find the singers from Legend, Levine and Clarkson's old rosters that I'd most like to see get a second chance. Check 'em out, then hit the comments with the past contestants that you most want to come back and try, try again. Amanda Brown (Team Adam Levine) The Season 3 standout's Playoffs cover of Aerosmith unequivocally told all future contestants that if they thought they could do better, ahem, dream on. (Listen to her rendition above.) (Team Kelly Clarkson) The quality of his voice was right there in this charismatic Season 23 contestant's name. Maybe the second time will be the charm for him? (Listen to 'Perfect' take on Ed Sheeran above.) Sarah Grace (Team Kelly Clarkson) Just a kid during Season 15, when she was axed in the Semifinals, Grace had the chops even then to go all the way; she just… well, didn't. (Marvel at her 'Amazing Grace'/'House of the Rising Sun' mash-up above.) Katie Kadan (Team John Legend) Though the Season 17 belter had a memorable look, enviable wit and an unforgettably resonant voice, she only scored a third-place finish. (Buckle up for her cover of Janis Joplin's 'Piece of My Heart' above.) Jershika Maple (Team John Legend) The term 'powerhouse' was all but coined to describe the Season 21 contestant whose soulful vocals should've landed her higher than fifth place. (Lend an ear as she slays Natalie Cole's 'Inseparable' above.) James Wolpert (Team Adam Levine) The alt-rocker left us intoxicated with his Playoffs cover of Joni Mitchell's classic 'A Case of You' but still got eliminated in Season 5's Semifinals.
