Sturgeon says ‘midlife crisis' tattoo may not be her last time getting inked
She revealed the new tattoo publicly during an exclusive interview with ITV News ahead of the publication of her memoirs, Frankly, later this week.
Ms Sturgeon described the design, which she came up with, as being 'kind of an infinity symbol with an arrow' – adding that stood for 'strength, resilience and continuing to move forward, even when it feels impossible'.
She was asked about it when she was questioned by ITV News at Ten presenter Julie Etchingham.
Ms Sturgeon said: 'Midlife crisis alert! What it is, is known really only to me, but I'll give you a kind of sense of it. It's kind of an infinity symbol with an arrow, and I came up with the design myself.
'In summary, what it signifies to me is strength, resilience and continuing to move forward, even when it feels impossible.
'And it might not be my last one now that I've got the taste for it.'

Oasis support act's huge promise ahead of Glasgow gig
Richard Ashcroft will perform at the city's OVO Hydro on March 31. Currently, the Verve's former frontman is Oasis' support act on their Oasis Live '25 Tour. After performing three shows at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, Ashcroft took to Instagram to thank fans for their support. "The people I met on the street with your kind words and positivity, they will live with me forever. Celtic star pictured doing 'the huddle' at Oasis gig
Simon Donnelly attended the Manchester band's concert at Murrayfield in the Scottish capital on Tuesday, August 12. The 50-year-old shared his night out alongside pals at the show on Instagram. In a picture, the ex-player looked chuffed. He also uploaded a clip from inside the stadium, which showed him and his friends doing 'the huddle'.
