Brooks Nader knows that her exes are watching.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model appears in the iconic magazine for the seventh time alongside Salma Hayek, Jordan Chiles, Lauren Chan and Olivia Dunne as this year's cover girls.
The 28-year-old told People magazine at the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swim Launch Party in New York City that her former flames have been keeping a close eye on her steamy spread.
"They like it. They view it, they see it. They're watching, but... I'm moving right along," the pinup told the outlet about her exes' reactions to her photos. "I'm sure they see it, but whatever. I don't care."
Nader was romantically linked to Gleb Savchenko while competing on Season 33 of "Dancing with the Stars." According to the outlet, they reunited after splitting in October 2024, but this April, they called it quits for good.
Savchenko, 41, denied rumors of infidelity.
"I'm not a cheater," he told E! News. "I'm actually a family guy. I'm a relationship guy. I'm not a f---boy who goes around and goes on all these dates. I'm not even on dating apps."
Nader is more focused on making a splash these days. She told People magazine that posing for a seventh year was a different experience for her.
"I had a lot of body confidence issues when I first started out in the industry, and I feel like I've evolved into someone who's confident in herself," said Nader. "And I didn't prepare as much this year. I kind of ate a cheeseburger the night before… Because they don't give a f---… They want you for you."
"I think that's the beautiful thing about Sports Illustrated and why I am still, seven years later, so honored to be a part of it," she shared.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native took part in the 2019 Swim Search open casting call and won. She has appeared in the magazine every year since. In 2023, she appeared on the cover of a "Baywatch"-inspired shoot. Then, in 2024, she was part of the SI Swimsuit Legends photo shoot alongside 26 other models to celebrate the magazine's 60th anniversary.
The original swimsuit issue ran in 1964. It has been a launching pad for models such as Kathy Ireland, Christie Brinkley, Elle Macpherson, Kate Upton and Ashley Graham.
Over the years, the issue has tried to stay fresh, with painted bikinis, plus-sized models, unedited photos, tiny swimsuits, amputee models, older models and the addition of professional athletes.
For the 2025 issue, Nader was photographed in Bermuda by Ben Watts.
In 2023, Nader told Fox News Digital that having a fitness routine she practices daily has helped her both look and feel her best.

"Throughout the year, I just try to stay as healthy as possible and just have balance," said Nader at the time. "I don't go on any crazy crash diets. I'll just maybe cut out all my spicy margaritas for a couple of weeks leading up to a Sports Illustrated shoot, just to feel mentally clear and healthy in general."
"My weakness and downfall are spicy margaritas," she chuckled. "I try to cut those out for a few weeks, which is super challenging. And a guilty pleasure of mine is probably ramen – I love ramen. I could eat three bowls of ramen a day."
Some models prefer Pilates, while others stick to running. For Nader, she said her secret to staying in shape is boxing, which she does regularly. The sport was also a known favorite for former Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima.
"I box, which I feel has given me a lot of strength and toning," Nader explained. "I've been boxing for the last few years, and I feel that has helped me a lot."
"Being a model over the last six years – it can mess with you a little bit mentally because you're going through ebbs and flows of getting really in shape for a shoot," she shared.
"And then after that, you're [enjoying] all your cheat meals. I just went through so many phases of my life as a model where I was not steady and constant with working out and eating healthily. I would just go through these crazy highs and lows. And I feel like, lately, as I'm getting older, I just feel it's really important to keep steady."
Nader stressed that finding a fitness routine that is fun will help people stick with it and meet their health goals. There is also nothing wrong with eating your favorite comfort foods in moderation, she said.
"I almost flew back to Louisiana for a crawfish boil because it's seasonal, and it's my favorite thing ever," she said. "My mom always said I can eat my weight in crawfish. I literally can eat seven or eight pounds of crawfish in one sitting. It's so spicy and salty, the way my dad does them. I have to take off all my jewelry because I'll puff up the whole next day, but it's so worth it – I miss it so much."

I don't imagine the name will immediately ring a bell, but it's worth remembering. Grafstrom, a Swede, is FIFA's secretary general, with more than a little power. He was once chief of staff for its president, Gianni Infantino. Advertisement He's also the man who redesigned FIFA's Club World Cup (CWC), creating the 32-team tournament which starts in the United States next week. It was interesting to see him tell Felipe that the CWC was 'not a commercial venture as such'. From the outside looking in, it doesn't seem to be anything else. DAZN, for instance, paid $1billion for broadcast rights (which no other outlet wanted at that price — but let's not get bogged down in that). The 2025 winners will earn $125m, a Champions League-esque fee for considerably less effort. Grafstrom says FIFA is trying to grow the sport but, fundamentally, it's taken big money for some of the teams involved to give the competition their full attention. Unfortunately for FIFA, the paying public aren't rushing to buy into it. Adam Crafton reports that the opening match, between Inter Miami and Egyptian team Al Ahly in Miami on June 14, is struggling to sell out. The game, likely to feature Lionel Messi (above), is nowhere near capacity, so ticket prices are being cut. Is a late rush coming? Or is the model created by Grafstom failing to land? FIFA is running a dynamic pricing model for the 2025 CWC. In essence, the cost of tickets is dictated by demand: the more popular a fixture, the more it costs to attend. Real Madrid games, for instance, are holding up. None of their fixtures are cheaper than $132. Boca Juniors look like drawing crowds too. But sources spoken to by Adam said Miami were looking at an attendance of lower than 20,000 — 45,000 beneath capacity — for the first fixture. FIFA denied this but would not specify a figure itself. Tickets for that game are available for a lowest price of $55, far below the $230 being charged in January and $349 when the CWC draw was made before the turn of the year. There's a suspicion that plenty of CWC matches will play out in front of swathes of empty seats, an image FIFA wants to avoid. Advertisement Infantino has said previously he wasn't 'worried at all' about ticket sales, because the FIFA boss is a can-do sort. The world governing body insists fans from over 130 countries have purchased seats to date. Grafstrom told Felipe that the CWC should help football expand further in the States. It makes all the right noises, FIFA, but how much is it telling itself what it wants to hear? Sir Dave Brailsford is widely known as Mr Marginal Gains. In the days when he ran Team Sky, before trouble enveloped them, the cycling outfit were the Tour de France's tour de force. The 61-year-old is a key figure at INEOS, Manchester United's minority shareholder, so it stood to reason that when INEOS took a stake in United in 2023, Brailsford would bring his competitive mind to Old Trafford. He did — but yesterday it emerged that he's stepping back again. In INEOS' 18 months, United haven't made marginal gains. They haven't made large gains either. Brailsford has been in the thick of everything that's gone on — a period of on-field regression and deep financial cuts — and his return to the role of INEOS' director of sport can be taken as an admission that his input hasn't worked. At all. In another shuffle, Jason Wilcox is being promoted by United from technical director to director of football. It's a fresh rearrangement of the deckchairs, but Wilcox has a part to play. Not so Brailsford, who won't be roundly missed. You know it's the off season when professional footballers are participating in an on-field drag race with a Formula One car. That was the scene at Elland Road, where three members of Leeds United's squad tried (and predictably failed) to outpace Red Bull's RB7 model. Footnote: it didn't collide with any of them. Advertisement The purpose of the stunt? No idea, beyond a bit of fun, and the ground staff must have been thrilled. But in a serious sense, it's an example of how intertwined Red Bull is becoming with Leeds, its first equity investment in the English game. The purchase of club shares by Red Bull last year was going to be scrutinised, because of its contentious ownership history elsewhere in the world. But far from keeping its head down in Leeds, the energy drink giant — a minority partner — has its branding on the club's kit and its 2011 F1 car on their pitch. There's no missing the collaboration. Leeds' chairman, Paraag Marathe, said at the outset that a majority sale to Red Bull was not on the table. Perhaps that holds true. But I'm constantly fascinated to see if and how its interest evolves, in a league it is yet to crack. Before you start any new program, it's always a good idea to check in with your doctor and make sure you're in good health. Now, one thing about calorie deficits is that you don't necessarily need to worry about being in a deficit every single day. This is a question that others have asked on Reddit and other forums, and the answer is that it's okay to go over your deficit every once in a while. The more important thing to consider for calorie deficits is your average over a week or a month for any actual progression in weight loss. To learn more about setting daily calorie goals for weight loss, I spoke with fitness instructor Jamie Maitland, a certified holistic nutritionist and founder of The Office Health. How do calories work? A calorie is a unit of energy used to express how much energy you exert or consume daily. We need calories; they give the body fuel and the ability to function. The calories you take in that are not used are stored as body fat. According to the USDA, adult females need to consume between 1,600 and 2,200 calories each day. The average male requires between 2,200 and 3,000 calories. These are just guidelines, and while most people may fall within these ranges, you might not. Body composition and total daily energy expenditure are the two factors that determine your basal metabolic rate. So, whenever you clean your house or garden or do things that don't feel like a workout, you're burning calories. Unless you intentionally increase this activity level over some time, your current daily energy expenditure won't necessarily cause you to lose weight. How many calories should you burn to lose weight? Everyone is different, so you'll have different calorie goals than someone else. Maitland explained that several factors influence how many calories you need to burn to lose weight. They include your weight, age, gender, hormones and health conditions. Your lifestyle and attitude will also come into play. "In order to really determine how many calories you need to burn to lose weight, you should realistically ask yourself what your goal weight is, and if you are willing to change the way you think in order to achieve those results," Maitland said. While calorie needs vary by person, the science behind weight loss is clear: You must be in a calorie deficit. You do this by either reducing the extra calories you're consuming or burning more than what you're eating with exercise. You've probably heard of the 3,500-calorie deficit rule, which states that a pound of fat equals 3,500 calories. While this provides a basic framework, Maitland pointed out that it won't apply to everyone. If you're unsure where to start, Maitland suggests that you start simply and shave off 500 calories from your normal daily intake and monitor how you feel. You should always consult your doctor first before making any changes to your diet. Whether you do the research yourself, meet with a health professional or find an accountability group, your weight loss goals are achievable. How to calculate the number of calories you burn If you're looking for a way to figure out how many calories you burn in a day, a reliable way to do this is by first finding out your resting metabolic rate. Your RMR is the basic number of calories your body needs to function and maintain your weight. This doesn't account for extra activities that you do during the day. There are a few methods to calculate your RMR, but the most reliable is the Mifflin-St Jeor equation. It calculates the number of calories you need to eat daily based on your assigned gender at birth, height, age and weight. The Mifflin-St Jeor equation looks like this: Males: (10 × weight in kilograms) + (6.25 × height in centimeters) - (5 × age in years) + 5 Females: (10 × weight in kilograms) + (6.25 × height in centimeters) - (5 × age in years) - 161 If you're looking to see how many calories you'll need based on activity level, then you'll need to multiply your RMR results with your activity level based on the following chart: 1.2 - Sedentary (little to no exercise) 1.375 - Lightly active (work out 1-3 days a week) 1.55 - Moderately active (work out 3-5 days a week) 1.725 - Very active (work out 6-7 days a week) 1.9 - Extra active (two-a-day workouts, active job) Example: 5-ft 4-in, 125 pounds, moderately active woman, 29 years old RMR: (10 × 56.699) + (6.25 × 162.56) - (5 × 29) - 161 = 1,276.99 calories RMR x Activity Level: 1,276.99 x 1.55 = 1,979.3345 calories What is a caloric deficit? A caloric deficit is when you burn more calories than you eat in a day. As Maitland mentioned, it's usually recommended to start a deficit by cutting back 500 calories a day from your diet. It's important to remember that this may vary per individual so it's best to consult with a professional before doing so. Quick tips to cut 500 calories: Choose healthy snacks like fruit or nuts Try to eliminate high-calorie treats each day Identify low-calorie swaps like using low-fat milk or plain yogurt instead of sour cream Cut out high-calorie drinks like sodas Use smaller bowls or plates Avoid fried foods as often as you can Remember, calories don't tell you the quality of food you're eating. Losing weight in a healthy and sustainable way is essential for meeting your goals. According to Maitland, a healthy weight loss goal is between 2 and 5 pounds a week. That doesn't mean that if you're not losing within that range, you're doing it wrong. It's simply a guideline for what is healthy and sustainable. You should expect it to vary each week. "It's important to understand the difference between water weight loss and actual fat loss. Regardless of how much weight you would like to lose, it's imperative to set realistic goals and trust that even the smallest steps taken daily can make a difference. Consistency is the secret sauce," Maitland said. Weight loss is a long-term lifestyle change. Maitland highlighted that your weight loss will plateau if you don't increase the deficit. So, your diet and exercise routines should be evaluated frequently to ensure they suit your goals. That said, if you achieve your goals and find a workout routine that works for you, it's OK to stick with it. How to track calorie burn when you exercise It's essential to track your progress when exercising, not only so you can see how far you've come but also to identify when you need a break. How many calories you burn will vary by the duration and intensity of your workout, so it's good practice to use a fitness tracker to simplify things. The top fitness trackers like Fitbit, Apple Watch and Whoop include your calorie burn throughout the day and during your tracked workouts. Factors that contribute to how many calories you burn: Your heart rate zone : Smartwatches measure your heart rate zones, or how hard you're pushing and recovery periods. Find what motivates you, stick with it and the results will come," Maitland said. Keep your fitness research going by learning when the best time to weigh yourself is, what foods to moderate and which exercises you should focus on to age gracefully.
