Sanjay aims to break into world top 50
The national No. 2 achieved his highest world ranking, 58th, in March before dropping to 68th last month.
Sanjay, 26, lost most of his matches either in the first or second rounds in PSA tournaments. In February, he did well to reach the semi-finals of the Goodfellow Classic in Canada.
"I think the past season was mixed. I had a really good first half, beating some top players but I struggled to keep that momentum in the second half of the season.
"In the new season (August, 2025 to June, 2026), I hope to be more consistent and break into the world top 50."
His next tournament will be the National Championships in Penang from Aug 13-17.
Sanjay will be looking to win the national title in the absence of world No. 12 and national No. 1 Ng Eain Yow, who is based in the United States.

Ainaa racing against time to recover for national meet
PETALING JAYA: Time is ticking for squash player Noor Ainaa Amani Ampandi as she races to recover from a knee injury ahead of the National Championships in Penang from Aug 13-17. The 23-year-old has been injured since the Asian Individual Championships in Sarawak in June and it also caused her problems during the SEA Cup in Bangkok last week.
