Saudi PIF Launches Tasama to Lead National Business Services Sector

Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) has officially launched Tasama Business Services Company, a new entity tasked with transforming the Kingdom's business services landscape. The move is part of PIF's broader strategy to support economic diversification and private sector development under Vision 2030.
Formed through the consolidation of the Business Incubators and Accelerators Company (formerly part of TAQNIA) and PIF's internal Shared Services Center, Tasama is set to become a national platform offering end-to-end business support services. These include accounting, human resources, procurement, digital solutions, incubation services, and shared workspaces.
The company will serve a broad range of clients, including government agencies, local entrepreneurs, and international companies establishing regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia.
Tasama is expected to expand its footprint across the Kingdom, playing a key role in supporting entrepreneurship and business growth through streamlined, professional service delivery. The launch reinforces PIF's efforts to strengthen Saudi Arabia's business environment and enable long-term, sustainable growth.

Egypt launches platform to map its progress toward 2030 SDGs - Economy
The Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation has launched a new digital platform to track progress toward the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the country's 27 governorates. Announced on Wednesday, the Sustainable Development Goals Data Platform for Governorates offers an interactive, regularly updated dashboard that allows policymakers, researchers, and the public to monitor regional performance on all 17 SDGs. It aims to support data-driven decision-making and help align national and local efforts with Egypt's Vision 2030 development strategy. 'Governorates are at the heart of Egypt's sustainable development strategy,' said Planning Minister Rania Al-Mashat. 'This platform allows us to better allocate resources, respond to local needs, and ensure balanced development nationwide.' Built on official data from national agencies, including the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), the platform features an interactive map ranking governorates by performance on key development indicators. It draws on internationally recognized methodologies, including those from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Each governorate is evaluated based on three main metrics: the gap between its current standing and its 2030 targets, the annual rate of improvement needed to reach those targets, and how it compares to other governorates on specific indicators. The platform builds on earlier SDG localization reports issued by the ministry in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in 2021 and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in early 2025. According to the ministry, the tool is intended to guide more efficient public investment, enhance oversight of development financing, and empower local governments to accelerate progress through targeted action. CAIRO, July 28 (MENA) – Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Minister Badr Abdelatty met on Monday with Haoliang Xu, Acting Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on the sidelines of the International High-Level Conference on a Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Question and Implementation of the Two-State Solution. Abdelatty expressed appreciation for the vital role UNDP plays in supporting Egypt's development efforts. He commended the programme's constructive contributions to building national capacities and advancing Egypt's progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. He noted that UNDP's support is a key pillar of Egypt's efforts to implement its Vision 2030 and to navigate growing economic challenges. The minister reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to further strengthening cooperation with the programme across all areas of shared interest, whether bilaterally or within multilateral partnerships, to support development and regional stability. The two officials also discussed the situation in Gaza. Abdelatty shed light on Egypt's intensive efforts to secure a ceasefire and facilitate the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to meet the urgent needs of the Palestinian population. He reiterated Egypt's firm rejection of any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their homeland. The minister also pointed to continued coordination between Egypt, Qatar and the United States in efforts to reach an agreement that would end the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. In a related context, the top diplomat reviewed preparations for an international conference focused on Gaza's early recovery and reconstruction. He underscored the need to rally regional and international support to rebuild the territory's infrastructure and highlighted key elements of the Arab-Islamic plan for Gaza. He stressed the importance of establishing a clear political horizon to address the root causes of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and secure the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state.
