Benjamin Šeško joins Manchester United
The saga surrounding Benjamin Šeško's future has finally come to an end. The 22-year-old Slovenian striker will be unveiled this Saturday by Manchester United.
In recent weeks, the RB Leipzig centre-forward seemed destined for Newcastle United—a move that could have paved the way for Alexander Isak's transfer to Liverpool. In the end, he won't be joining the Magpies. According to Sky Sports, Šeško has signed a five-year contract with the Red Devils. The Athletic reports that the transfer is worth €85 million, including bonuses.
And it's clear that the former Bundesliga forward is already excited about the new Premier League challenge ahead:
This is clearly the perfect place for me to reach my full potential and achieve all my ambitions. From the moment I arrived, I felt the positive energy and the family atmosphere the club has created.

Why Romano's latest transfer update will disappoint many Chelsea fans
Another day, another Alejandro Garnacho update. The winger's transfer to Chelsea is still ongoing according to most sources, but it's making such slow progress that one would be forgiven for thinking it wasn't happening at all. Fabrizio Romano likes to inject a little enthusiasm into proceedings to keep the dream alive, and the certainty with which he speaks about the deal gives one the impression that the Garnacho camp are very much keeping him in the loop in an attempt to manifest a move. Latest Garnacho update shows nothing has changed Fabrizio Romano's latest update on Chelsea's chase of Alejandro Garnacho. This latest update is a classic in the Romano genre – giving the impression that things have changed since the last update, while not actually moving things forward at all. The last big update we got was that Chelsea were in club to club talks with Man U, having agreed personal terms with Garnacho. Now, almost a week later, we hear that Chelsea have 'stepped up club to club talks,' and that those 'discussions with Man U are not well underway.' So effectively – nothing has changed. We predicted a long time ago this deal would go down to the wire, and it's proving to be just that sort of arrangement. Chelsea are trying to sneak a quick bargain here, and they can only do that by making Man U desperate for a sale. There is no reason for the Blues to rush. Chelsea and Man U continue waiting game For as much as Chelsea would like to slow things down to a crawl, they're also aware that they themselves need to conclude deals at some point too. If they sell Christopher Nkunku, which is clearly their aim right now, he will need to be replaced, and suddenly the balances shifts towards them to get a deal done. This latest update may have been worthless – but at any moment this could all start to move very quickly.

Fabrizio Romano gives Liverpool 'guarantee' over Alexander Isak
The end of the transfer window is nigh and every single day matters if we're to get deals signed. Leaving any business this late into the summer is less than ideal, but Liverpool have a couple of players that simply haven't budged yet and we're reaching the point where we need a final decision. 🔴 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! LFC x adidas Shop the goalkeeper range today LFC x adidas Shop the new adidas range today! Liverpool certainly worked hard at the start of the window, with the signings of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez all confirmed before the end of June. It was quite an opening salvo. Throughout July, the club was understandably focused on supporting everyone dealing with the loss of Diogo Jota and it was only towards the end of the month that Hugo Ekitike's move was finalised. Now we're facing down the barrel of a final splurge required to kickstart the season and fill in the final few gaps in Liverpool's squad - a centre-back and another striker are required, at the very least. Club is engaged in daily talks Fabrizio Romano has been incredibly reliable this summer, apart from a small few details on some of our signings in terms of transfer fees, and so when he posts an update on our business, it matters. Speaking on his Youtube channel the Here We Go Podcast, he revealed an update on our situation. He said: "Liverpool remain absolutely in active conversations to sign Alexander Isak and Alexander Isak remains with his mind set on a move to Liverpool this summer. "The situation remains absolutely ON, the situation remains absolutely concrete, and the deal remains a strong possibility to happen for this summer transfer window. "We are entering into the final three weeks, so time is not that much and but I can guarantee to you that Liverpool maintain daily contacts to make sure that they maintain control of the situation. "They are ready, they want to be ready for the moment, if the moment will come when Newcastle say okay, we are ready to sell the player, let's negotiate." In light of the fact that Liverpool are expected to only have three senior attackers, if we consider Wirtz a midfielder - with Federico Chiesa set to leave - the Isak news certainly sounds promising. But we're not really any further forward then we were a few weeks ago. Reports are suggesting that any attempts Newcastle make to keep Isak will not be straightforward, whereas others confirm that the Magpies are in an untenable position, with the Swede's departure set to be an inevitable result. Interest in Yohan Wissa and Nicholas Jackson suggest that enough reinforcements could be brought in to Eddie Howe's squad for Isak to become sellable, but we'll be looking at an extortionate fee. Although Liverpool are not somewhat at the mercy of Newcastle, since the focus is primarily on Isak from the Reds' side and a striker signing is imperative. Eventually we need them to budge otherwise we'll be going into the season undermanned, with alternative targets likely to involve lengthy talks. The daily communications are certainly positive to hear, and hopes of Isak becoming a Red should still be strong, but the situation arguably becomes less certain as each day passes by. It's going to be a little nip and tuck before the window closes, so strap in for what will be a rollercoaster ride.
