Most expensive items you can buy if you won £216,000,000 Euromillions
The huge jackpot means the lucky individual will rocket into the ranks of the global elite overnight – although they still wouldn't have enough cash to enter the UK's rich list, which makes you think.
The winning EuroMillions ticket holder matched the numbers 24, 31, 34, 41, and 43, while the lucky stars were 06 and 08 to scoop the gigantic pot.
While it is not clear if the jackpot has yet been claimed, we thought we'd get started with a shopping list in time for when their National Lottery EuroMillions win reaches their bank account.
Some options would take up all of the cash (custom-made superyachts don't come cheap, never mind the running), while others would leave plenty leftover for champagne.
Last year, the Amazon founder reportedly treated himself to a Gulfstream G700 private jet.
Sleeping up to eight people in ergonomic seats that convert to beds, it offers a 'whisper-quiet cabin with 100% fresh, plasma-ionized air replenished every two to three minutes'.
Bezos is thought to have three other jets, and with this EuroMillions win, the lucky player could buy themselves three as well. If they don't care too much about the climate.
If the winner really wanted to push the boat out (ha ha), this lovely 77.8 metre yacht is listed for sale, and is within price range!
It has a helipad too and was described by sellers as 'excellent value at €69,000 per gross ton', although we'll have to take their word for it.
The Rutland Gate mansion in Knightsbridge would just about be achievable; it would stretch the budget though, and they'd need to find an extra £2 million down the back of the sofa.
The palatial building with 45 rooms overlooking Hyde Park was sold for this record price by its Saudi owners in 2022, according to the Financial Times.
Winners might benefit from the recent fall in London's prime housing market, however, and be able to strike a deal.
This car sold for over five million dollars at auction last year.
One of only 30 ever made, the model was engineered to break the 300 mph barrier for the first time, achieving a record speed of 304.777 mph.
British jeweller Graff unveiled the 'most valuable watch ever created', with more than 110 carats of diamonds on a platinum bracelet.
Fancy watches might have been out of reach until now, but now you could get a whole rolodex of Rolexes too.
Made of Niloticus crocodile skin dyed white and grey, it is meant to make you think of the Himalayan Mountains (can't see it myself though).
You also get 18-carat gold for the fastenings, studded with diamonds.
It sold for over £330,000 at Sotheby's auction house in 2022.
If the winner loves British football (probably not, given they bought the ticket in Ireland, but you never know), they could buy an entire football club, though not one at the top of the table. More Trending
They could then become loathed or loved, depending on the club's fortunes, a route favoured by plenty of billionaires.
If the pressure of the win is getting too much, and they fear the curse of the lottery jackpot, perhaps this would appeal.
An untouched Scottish island would come as a bargain, too, with one going on sale in 2018 for just £120,000, leaving plenty of change from £208 million. What would you buy first?

Hertz partners with Amazon Autos to sell used vehicles online
Aug 20 (Reuters) - Hertz Global Holdings (HTZ.O), opens new tab said on Wednesday its car sales unit was partnering with (AMZN.O), opens new tab automotive retail platform, Amazon Autos, to sell pre-owned vehicles, sending the car rental company's shares up 7% in early trading. Shares of used-car retailers fell, with Avis Budget Group (CAR.O), opens new tab down 6%, Carvana (CVNA.N), opens new tab losing 4.2% and CarMax (KMX.N), opens new tab shedding 1.4%. The collaboration builds on Amazon Autos' recent expansion into used-vehicle sales, Hertz said. Amazon launched Amazon Autos last year to expand the online retail platform's services to include used and certified pre-owned vehicles, with participating dealers in more than 130 U.S. cities. Hertz and Amazon will start offering their service within 75 miles of Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and Seattle, with plans to expand to Hertz Car Sales' 45 locations across the United States. Estero, Florida-based Hertz Global operates its car rental business through its Dollar, Thrifty and Firefly vehicle-rental brands across 160 countries, and also operates a car-sharing business in Europe. Its Hertz Car Sales brand offers used cars for sale online and at locations across the U.S. Hertz has been pressured by bumpy rental demand, forcing it to shed much of its electric-vehicle fleet in favor of gas-powered cars over the past few years. It has also drawn scrutiny over its AI-powered sensors - used to check returned vehicles for damage - which some customers say have frequently misfired. Hedge-fund billionaire Bill Ackman boosted his stake in Hertz earlier this year to nearly 20% through his investment management company Pershing Square, expressing confidence in the management's efforts to reduce costs to improve profit margins over the next several years despite ongoing tariff pressures.

Italy's Valentino hires fashion industry veteran Bellini as CEO
ROME, Aug 20 (Reuters) - Valentino has appointed industry veteran Riccardo Bellini as new chief executive, it said on Wednesday, hiring him from the Qatari fund Mayhoola which is the Italian fashion house's parent company. Bellini, who will take up the role at the start of September, replaces Jacopo Venturini whose departure was announced last week. The appointment is part of the large-scale change in management and artistic direction sweeping across the fashion industry as it grapples with a deep slump in key U.S. and Chinese markets. New designers will debut at labels including Chanel, Balenciaga, Loewe, Maison Margiela and Versace in upcoming fashion weeks in September and October. "I am honored to join Valentino, an iconic maison that blends extraordinary heritage and craftsmanship with a unique creative voice," Bellini said in a statement. Bellini had been managing director at Mayhoola, a role he took up only in January, according to his LinkedIn profile. He will work alongside creative director Alessandro Michele as part of a new top team at Valentino. Michele joined Valentino last year. Bellini previously served as CEO of luxury brands Maison Margiela and Chloé, and held leadership roles at Diesel and Procter & Gamble. His appointment comes at a time of uncertainty for Valentino, founded in Rome in 1960 by Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti. The label is now part-owned by French luxury conglomerate Kering ( opens new tab, which bought a 30% stake from Mayhoola for 1.7 billion euros ($2 billion) in 2023, with a commitment to buy the rest by 2028. Last month, Mayhoola denied a newspaper report that the two shareholders were considering selling Valentino. Kering, which will have former Renault boss Luca de Meo as its new CEO from next month, declined to comment at the time. ($1 = 0.8572 euros)

Hisense TV with 'excellent picture and colour quality' sees lowest price in weeks
Amazon has cut the price of a budget Hisense TV to one of the cheapest prices this month Looking for a good TV for a great price can be tough nowadays, especially with all the choices and expensive options on the market. We've spotted a deal which could put one Hisense TV model on your shopping list. The Hisense 32E4QTUK LED TV has dropped in price to the lowest in 30 days on Amazon at a very commendable £159. The lowest it has been in 30 days. This Hisense gogglebox isn't the most flashy and only comes with a 32-inch 1080p screen, but it's perfect for a spare room or bedroom and even comes with Dolby Atmos sound. Brilliant Shark fan that's saved me this summer has £50 off as UK heatwave arrives' 63p-a-day supplement for menopausal women that helps them 'feel like their old selves' It also has Freely built in, which means shoppers can say goodbye to the aerial. This amazing platform allows watchers to easily browse and watch live TV channels and on-demand content in one seamless and intuitive interface, all streamed directly to their TV via the internet. It also has a crisp, colourful screen thanks to its direct-lit full array, which benefits from having a grid of tightly packed individual LEDs positioned directly behind the screen covering the whole of the panel. This allows Brits to enjoy crisp, vivid colours and deep blacks from edge to edge. For those looking for some alternatives, there's also plenty of options to choose from. There's this 4K Samsung 50-inch TV that is available for £259. It boasts a 4.1-star rating from reviewers and has been praised as 'easy to set up' with 'great build quality'. One shopper noted: "Very good price and great features and build quality." Shoppers could also consider a Sky Glass Gen 2 for those wanting to upgrade without a hefty upfront cost. Prices start from £14 a month across 48months or £699 up front, and plans start at £15. Reviewers have also called the device "absolutely cracking." The same reviewer added: "It's not the thinnest TV but is feature-packed. It's a good size and has a nice quality picture, as well as really good sound, too. It has more or less any app you can imagine. It's easy to set up and use with a fully functional remote control. For the money, you can't go wrong!" Another reviewer added, "Great value for money with this Hisense TV. The picture and colour quality are excellent, especially given the price. The sound quality is good, but could be better. But again, given the price, I can't complain. It's lightweight, quick, and simple to set up, and it has all the apps and features you need at the click of a button. "It connects to WiFi well, and the signal strength is great. I highly recommend this TV!" However some shoppers did have issues setting it up. One shopper added: "Legs were fiddly to attach. The screws for some reason weren't going in properly. "The ITVX app doesn't have the live TV feature, which is super annoying. Apart from that, it's a decent TV for the price but it's not amazing. It will just do for now."
