Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have reportedly split after nine years together.
The pair have called it quits following weeks of escalating tension after nearly a decade of their on–off relationship, six years of being engaged and one child together.
This comes just shortly after the 40-year-old pop star went to space, drawing significant backlash amid viral videos trolling her world tour and her poor-performing album 143.
DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Katy and Orlando to request comment but hasn't yet received a response.
'Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,' a source told Us Weekly, adding that the break-up was so far 'not contentious.'
'Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life,' they said.
The source described the alleged split as 'a long time coming' and claimed their relations 'have been tense for months.'
For now, Katy is reportedly staying 'distracted' with her tour and caring for her and Orlando's four-year-old daughter Daisy, who was seen joining her while the 48-year-old English actor was elsewhere.
On Monday, DailyMail.com reported that Katy and Orlando were renting out their $30 million mansion in Montecito, California, to Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, which only intensified rumors of a breakup.
'Her and Orlando have always lived in their other Montecito home as their primary residence,' Us Weekly's source said.
They said the allegedly split couple had intended to establish the rented mansion as 'their family home' before the situation changed.
They added that Katy and Orlando have 'been living apart since Katy has been on tour.'
Katy had been spotted multiple times with her daughter Daisy while touring in Australia this month, and Orlando has made several solo public appearances, including stops at the Tribeca festival and an appearance to celebrate the launch of a cruise ship with Drew Barrymore.
This news follows reports that Bloom will attend Jeff Bezos ' wedding to Lauren Sanchez sans his fiancée Perry on his arm. He's said to intend to make his debut as a 'single man' at his billionaire buddy's nuptials, according to TMZ.
Meanwhile, Perry will miss the wedding due to her ongoing Lifetimes tour in Australia.
The pair have been in an on–off relationship since 2016 and are parents to one child together, their four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, who was born in August 2020.
The couple have seen ups and downs after over a decade together.
During their on-and-off relationship, the pair have made bizarre headlines together for dance-offs, dressing up as their older selves to work on a short film together and unconventional dates including nude beach romps.
Perry and Bloom were first romantically linked after they attended multiple Golden Globes afterparties together in January 2016.
Fellow partygoers reported witnessing their chemistry as they had a 'total dance-off,' according to Us Weekly.
That same month, the pair enjoyed a theatre date when they saw a production of The Absolute Brightness Of Leonard Pelkey in Culver City, California, and met up with the stars backstage.
They went Instagram official a few months later in May 2016 when the musician shared a funny photo of herself and Orlando dressed in bathrobes and splayed out dramatically on the steps of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes, France.
The same year, the couple made headlines when they went paddle boarding together in Italy. While Perry was attired in standard swimwear, Bloom opted to paddle while completely nude.
They dated for a little over a year before calling it quits in early 2017.
However, Perry and Bloom ended up rekindling their romance just a year later.
The couple went on to got engaged in 2019 on Valentine's Day while celebrating their anniversary.
They followed that evolution of their relationship up by making their red carpet debut as a couple after dating on and off for over two years when they attended the Gala for the Global Ocean in Monaco.
Shortly after attending the star-studded event together, engagement rumors were in the air, with sources noting that the pair had talked about having children together.
Bloom is already a father to his 13-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
In March 2020, Perry announced her pregnancy in a music video when she debuted her song Never Worn White.
At the end of the video, she was shown cradling her real-life baby bump.

Earlier this month, People claimed Perry's poorly performing album 143 had caused 'tension' in her relationship with her fiancé.
The singer's seventh studio album was released in September 2024 and received a largely negative response from fans and critics alike, who claimed the record sounds as if it was 'generated through AI.'
'The rumors of a rough patch are true, but it's not at the point of no return,' an insider previously told DailyMail.com. 'They know they must fix things, and they both want to figure it out.
'They haven't been able to sit down and work on some of their issues. A breakup isn't imminent, but they both know that they should focus on their relationship before it does become too late.'
'Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album. It made her very stressed,' a source told the outlet earlier this month.
'Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension,' the insider added.
Another source shared: 'She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It's put stress on their relationship.'
Meanwhile, an insider recently told DailyMail.com: 'Katy has been through it the last few months.
'Leaving American Idol, releasing her lackluster album, the debacle over her space mission, and her struggling tour have been disappointing and stressful,' the insider said.
'There aren't many people she can dump her emotions on, but obviously she can with Orlando. But with his work and juggling parenting, life as of late has put a strain on their relationship,' the source added.
