Scots designer label HartiSWIM makes much anticipated debut in Miami
Glasgow born singer and radio host, Tallia Storm and mum, Scottish Fashion Week founder Tessa Hartmann hosted a star-lit evening in Miami making an audacious American debut for Scottish born HartiSWIM, the fiercely creative, eco -conscious brainchild of the Hartmann Family.
Fusing fashion, art, and ocean activism while successfully mixing eco and style, the energy was electric. The collection was a riot of vivid hand-painted pop art prints, sculptural silhouettes, and joyful irreverence, each piece echoing the exuberant brushstrokes of Sascha Hartmann – aka Harti, co-founder and in-house artist. Dad to Tallia, husband to Tessa, his original artwork, transferred directly from canvas to cloth, turned swimwear into walking murals.

'We're not here to just sell swimsuits,' says Tessa Hartmann. 'We're here to educate, to connect, and to celebrate the oceans we love - with fashion as the medium.'
Rising pop star Tallia Storm, performed for the finale in a kaleidoscope of colour and craftsmanship, hand-finished in the UK.

Bake Off's Prue Leith visits restaurant for romantic date and is horrified by what happens
Bake Off's Prue Leith visits restaurant for romantic date and is horrified by what happens The Great British Bake Off star Prue Leith has shared her disapproval after explaining how a trip to a Michelin-starred restaurant before her wedding didn't exactly go according to plan Dame Prue was left dismayed after a visit to a high-end restaurant with her husband, John Playfair (Image: Simone Padovani/Awakening/Getty Images) Celebrity chef Dame Prue Leith has told how a romantic date with the Great British Bake Off star's now husband was ruined by a chef who was insistent on engaging in "foodie talk". Dame Prue said she and second husband John Playfair had planned to indulge in a meal at a swanky Michelin-starred restaurant before they exchanged their vows. Speaking to The Oldie magazine, the GBBO star claimed she was on the receiving end of constant "lectures" about the food that had been placed in front of them during their romantic date. Prue, 85, said she has become annoyed by the growing trend of restaurant staff explaining each element of the menu. The TV star says she and her husband-to-be were even handed a map of their food suppliers during their meal. She was particularly annoyed about being "lectured" in between courses (Image: Getty Images) Article continues below Her frustration was compounded when the chef came out of the kitchen for a chat as they were finally about to leave the restaurant. Prue says the cook was looking to engage in "foodie talk" and "wouldn't go away". She said: "Pandering to foodies, menu devisers now write essays on every course: 'Hand-dived Scottish king scallops, daily picked marsh samphire from the Solway Firth, Arran victory organic new potatoes'. " Prue's career in the food industry began in 1960 when she moved from her native South Africa to London to attend the Cordon Bleu Cookery School. She opened her first restaurant, Michelin-starred Leith's, in Notting Hill in 1969. Dame Prue has been hosting Great British Bake Off in 2017 (Image: Getty Images) She also opened a cookery school, Leith's School of Food and Wine, and has authored a number of cookbooks and written food columns for national newspapers. Prue became more prominent when she appeared as one of the experts on new show The Great British Menu in 2006, which she left to replace Dame Mary Berry on The Great British Bake Off in 2017. Despite recently stepping back from the celebrity edition, she has confirmed that she intends to remain on the main show alongside her fellow judge Paul Hollywood: "I've given up celebrity (version of the show), but I still do The Great American Bake Off, and I still do The Great British Bake Off. I'm a lover of them all." Dame Prue and John Playfair tied the knot in 2016 (Image: Getty Images) Prue added: "It's the best job in telly! I don't have to learn lines, I don't have to write a script, I don't have to rehearse. As you say, we all go and eat cake." Article continues below The TV star said "finally we can shout about it" as it was confirmed GBBO will return to Channel 4 on Tuesday, September 2 at 8pm. Dame Prue also appears on her own show, Prue Leith's Cotswold Kitchen show on ITV, where she opens her kitchen to the public and is joined by husband John and pals including GBBO co-star Alison Hammond and former co-star Sandi Toksvig.

Oasis fans at the Murrayfield tram stop for the band's final Edinburgh show on Tuesday August 12 | National World 'Understandably, at certain times, some trams were filled to capacity, but extra services were laid on before and after the concerts to relieve the pressure, and dozens of additional staff were on duty to help with boarding and to offer face-to-face travel advice. 'Many members of our team also joined in the spirit of the occasion, proudly sporting bucket hats and joining in with fans as they belted out some of the band's best-known hits. Netflix announces bombshell twist for Love Is Blind season two reunion
Netflix Love Is Blind, hosted by Matt and Emma Willis, is set to welcome some familiar faces for the reunion episode, which will air at the end of this month Fans are on the edge of their seats for the final two episodes to be released, as Love is Blind UK returned to screens for series two. Despite not seeing the full series pan out yet, viewers are already trying to work out who is still together. What started off with 30 singletons looking to find love in the pods, five couples made it to Cyrprus where they finally came face-to-face as a group after getting engaged. Scots participant Katisha has faced backlash amid her love triangle. However, it's not all messy affairs on the popular Netflix show as one couple appeared to genuinely fall in love almost instantly. Ashleigh, 30, and army veteran Billy, 35, captured the hearts of many fans as the pair clicked despite never setting eyes on each other. Thankfully, fans shouldn't need to wait long to see how things panned out for the five couples, as the reunion is set to air at the end of this month, Sunday August 31. If the teaser is anything to go by, there's even more drama in store for the couples, and fans can even look forward to a surprise appearance from some familiar faces, the season one cast members. Scottish participant Katisha has continued to face backlash online for her decision in the pods. The Dumfries nanny and make-up artist decided to make a 180 decision when she opted to go with Javen instead of Demola. However, there was an awkward encounter looming as she came face-to-face with Demola, whose heart was shattered on the show when he went to propose after writing a hand-written poem to the Scot, who left him hanging at the last minute. Fans have taken to social media to say they have 'no sympathy' for Katisha, as they voiced their thoughts on the 31-year-olds decision. "Katisha really trying hard to convince herself self she made the right choice with Javen. Girl I'm sorry for you, you chose the guy who did nothing for you when you had a good soul like Demola. I just know your tears are going to be premium," one fan voiced. Someone else wrote: "Katisha is such a disappointment, at your big age still falling for the games?Good luck with that #loveisblinduk." It will be interesting to see particularly how the 'love triangle' of season two panned out, as well as where all the couples are now. Announcing the reunion, the programme noted: "The countdown to the Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 Reunion has officially begun! Get ready for shocking revelations, fiery confrontations and heartfelt moments as the cast reunite to reflect on their journeys. "With surprise appearances from members of the pod squad, long-awaited answers, and some special updates from Season 1 alumni, this is one reunion you won't want to miss." Hosted by Matt & Emma Willis, the Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 Reunion premieres Sunday, August 31 at 9pm BST, only on Netflix.
