GTA 6 delay concerns creep in again amid trailer 2 speculation
GTA 6 fans are concerned the game could be receiving a delay, after reading old posts from an ex-Rockstar employee.
Rockstar Games announced GTA 6 back in December 2023, kicking off the announcement with a trailer. Along with the trailer also came a release window: 2025.
Despite the hype behind it, we have yet to see a second trailer or even any screenshots.
will be the first Grand Theft Auto game since 2013.
And as we slowly approach a year and a half since the announcement, the question of whether the game could see a delay has been often repeated by fans.
Last year, ex-Rockstar employee Obbe Vermeij posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the decision to delay GTA 6 would only come at a critical time – around 4 months from the original release date.
"The decision to delay GTA IV was made 4 months or so before the original release date," Vermeij wrote. "Any further and it's hard to make the call. R* is probably not in a position to determine whether they will hit 2025 until May-ish.
"Also: GTA VI will sell for 10+ years and there is no competition to worry about. They are not going to release the game until they're 100% happy with it. No matter what it said in the trailer. I have no inside info. Didn't talk to anyone."The decision to delay gtaIV was made 4 months or so before the original release date. Any further and it's hard to make the call. — Obbe Vermeij (@ObbeVermeij) September 14, 2024With it now approaching the end of April, and with no sign of Trailer 2, GTA 6 fans are concerned that Rockstar could be considering a delay.
"If they delay it better show something like gameplay or give us something," wrote on user on Reddit.
"I'm optimistic because I think the delay already happened and GTA was supposed to be spring 2025 game," another fan wrote.
"At the same time though, everything they've done so far has been completely different from their previous releases," another comment wrote.
"So it's not insane to think the delay trend might also change. However, of course, a delay is always a possibility."
If a GTA 6 delay does indeed happen, we'd probably hear about it soon. Considering Rockstar's dedication to making polished experiences, any kind of delay would be made for a good reason.

Why Fans Think Triple H Could Be Leaving WWE
Amid recent exits and contracts ending, fans are wondering whether Triple H could be the next major name leaving WWE. With multiple superstars, including R-Truth, Carlito, and Valhalla, parting ways with the company, and TKO's leadership, particularly The Rock, playing an increasingly visible role, speculation is circulating about backstage tensions. Is Triple H leaving WWE soon? As of now, it isn't officially confirmed whether Triple H is leaving WWE anytime soon. Advertisement In recent weeks, longtime fan-favorites R-Truth, Carlito, and Valhalla confirmed that their WWE contracts won't be renewed. The news shocked many, especially R-Truth's exit, which struck a nerve with loyal viewers. These cuts aren't isolated. They're part of a pattern ever since WWE merged with UFC under TKO Group. Fans see them as cold, corporate decisions, far removed from the kind of wrestling-first approach Triple H is known for. Moreover, according to reports from Dave Meltzer, it was Triple H who made the final call on R-Truth and Carlito's exits. That decision has left people wondering whether he is acting out of personal conviction. The alternative theory is that he's under serious pressure from the new regime. Wrestling veteran Vince Russo recently voiced a theory that's gaining traction: Triple H could be the next one out. On his Coach & Bro podcast, Russo speculated that frustration with TKO and The Rock's growing influence might push Triple H to leave WWE. 'What if Triple H is the one who says, 'You won't what? Making me cut people. Making me walk around with a smile on my face when The Rock waltzes in and takes over anytime he wants.'' Russo emphasized that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are financially secure, suggesting they don't need WWE to sustain their lifestyle. He also shared that when you're inside the machine, sometimes 'all the money in the world doesn't matter.'
